  1. Is the AR cart difficult to come by? I saw 3 on Ebay. Thanks, tjb
  2. This guy wouldn't work on a US system without modification, correct? Thanks, tjb
  3. Have you offered these covers from your web site previously? I'm about 99% sure I ordered some a few years back and they are excellent! It was a different material however. The ones I have are black. I'll try and post some photos. tjb
  4. One for 130XE and one for 800XL. Thanks, tjb
  5. I'd like to pre-order 2 of the NTSC version. Thanks! tjb
  6. I agree with Rybags, Encounter's gameplay is awesome. I never really thought much of the Atari 8-bit port of Battlezone. I thought it was poor at best. tjb
  7. Very cool link. I wish I could go back in time and visit my local TRU back in the day. I got most of my equipment there as a teenager. I also picked up a lot of stuff on the cheap when Kay Bee toys and Sears where clearing out their Atari 8-bit goods. It was really a bad thing but at the time I thought it was great. Sears had quite a bit of APX titles. I can still see the displays in my minds eye. tjb

  9. I installed the plug-in this morning at work and the editor is up and running but I when I choose the compile or compile and run menu option nothing seems to happen. I went into preferences and filled in the paths to the executables and even tried restarting. Is there something else I need to do? Thanks, tjb
  10. Awesome! And the best part is that it supports ATASM which happens to be the assembler I use! I can't wait to check it out! tjb

    A2600

I just picked up a nice lot of Sega Genesis games from A2600. They literally arrived in a couple of days! A pleasure doing business with him. tjb
  12. Hi Rybags, It's a gorf style game and actually looks pretty good for the era, I would have been happy to pay for it at the time. For a GP vid... Looks like it would be fun to play. I like the huge boss level. It reminds me of the one on some versions of Demon Attack (like the INTV and TI-99 versions). I was always jealous of those versions. We basically got a straight port of the VCS version. It looks to have quite a bit of variation. I'd buy it. tjb
  13. I totally forgot about the payment being due by the end of May. I payed yesterday via Western Union. While I appreciate the security measures they have in place I must admit it can be HIGHLY frustrating working with them. Seems like it takes an act of congress to get a payment out, especially if it's the first time you've used them (as in my case). They asked me a series of four questions related to past accounts/payments. One was from way back in 1999 which I honestly couldn't remember the details of. I failed the first time. I got it right the second time but then they wanted to call my home phone for verification purposes. Of course I was at work at the time so I had to wait until the evening. I'm just glad I got it out. tjb
  14. Just a thought - you could run 8-bit software on an ST using an emulator. There's one available from Darek Mihocka. Interestingly, the emulator dates back to 1987! Anyway, like most (all?) of his emulators it's free and you can even get the source code for it! Check it out: http://www.emulators.com/download.htm Look for ST Xformer 3.0. You'll have to scroll down a bit. I had all but forgotten about Darek's site until I saw your post. Hope this helps, tjb
  15. "Everybody get down make love, get down make love!" For the ignorant, it's directly related to his avatar pic. I've worn the shirt for 10+ years now. Hopefully your shirt is as timeless as the music. I much prefer the older material to the new stuff. Then again maybe I'm just getting old. tjb
  16. I'm afraid I fall into that category. I have a huge collection of game consoles and classic computers that I play only a fraction of. I guess my excuse is lack of time as well. tjb
  17. It looks like a port of Blood 2. Anybody play Blood 2 back in the day? I loved the original Blood. Blood 2 multiplayer wasn't bad either. tjb
  18. Pardon my ignorance, but what is OCS and ECS? tjb
  19. Anybody ever heard of or had any experience with this? I saw this on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/MiniMig-FPGA-Motherboa...%3A1%7C294%3A30 Is it legit? I'm a little leary of people with only 20 feeback entries not to mention only 2 were as a seller. There's a link to an "advertisement" for the product included with the listing at the following URL: http://amiga.easypocketmoney.com/minimig/minimig_advert.jpg The whole "amiga.easypocketmoney.com" URL doesn't do much to instill confidence either. tjb
  20. Are they available in other pastel colors? BTW $10 each for custom painted 2600 joysticks?! That's a great price even if you don't paint them. Is this some sort of special promotion? tjb
  21. I haven't heard anything about that. Their web site does list Prey 2 in the list of current projects along with entries for 2 "unannounced" projects. It's not clear if these unannounced entries are just placeholders on the page or if there are indeed two unnamed projects. I hope you are correct. If so, maybe DNF will see the light of day. tjb
  22. Nice video. I agree, it does look good. Surely someone will buy the companie's IP and hand off DNF to some other party to finish it (assuming it's not too far off being completed). I just hope that party stays true to the spirit of the DN series. Best case would be where another company takes over and actually hires key individuals from the DNF team. It happens. I was on an Air Force contract back in 2004 under the employ of General Dynamics and basically (long story) GD pissed off the customer to the point where they ended up loosing the contract. It was no secret that the company that ended up with the contract was more than willing to hire individuals who had previously worked on the contract under GD. I was kind of pissed at GD myself at the time and almost went to work for the other company. Anyway, point being is that is happens. Get the same guys working on it with good management and direction in place and we should see DNF in our lifetime. tjb
  23. I just purchased a Vic-20 multi-cart from Mark. The cart arrived within 3 days! It works great and I got it at a really good price. It was a pleasure doing business with him and I'm sure I will be doing so in the future. tjb
