  1. Personally, I like this one better. Are you going to be offering this one for $5 + shipping? tjb
  2. My copy arrived today! It was well worth the wait! An outstanding game! tjb
  3. Rasteroids uses the keypad to activate powerups and hyperspace tjb
  4. I don't normally monitor the ST/TT Forums so could someone provide a link where I might purchase this interface? Thanks, tjb
  5. I had absolutely no problems. I got exactly what I ordered. Thanks krazy_kamino! tjb
  6. You can count me in for at least a couple if not more! tjb
  7. I pre-paid for a copy at Video 61 about 2-3 weeks ago. I e-mailed Lance a few days ago and he said he is still waiting for a new batch to arrive. I would e-mail him ([email protected]) and see if he has a copy available in this next batch. He's had my money a little while but I have no problem with that. I've done business with him before (as many others have) and consider him trustworthy. tjb
  8. Wow, thanks for sharing! Beef Drop is a superb game. tjb
  9. I'll refer you to the original post: Well, I sent him an email to that account on Sunday (five days ago), and then I pm'd him through AA yesterday, and haven't heard a word. I guess he doesn't want my money either. I'm not sure what's up. Maybe he just got an overwhelming number of responses? I sent him 2 PM's and got a response to both but it did take quite a while. I'm pretty sure he will get back with you. More a question of when than if. tjb
  10. It would be really nice if the list could be updated to reflect the items that are no longer available. I sent 2 PMs both with different items. Everything I wanted in the first PM was available but by the time I sent the second PM many of the items in the second batch had already been scarfed up. tjb
  11. I did initially but I sent him another PM last night and haven't heard anything. He may have had quite a bit of responses and is trying to work his way through them. tjb
  12. I would imagine different design goals and timeframes were present at the time. Take the 8-bit Asteroids for instance. It could have been done much better but being one of the earlier titles, it was designed when many machines had the bare minimum amount of RAM. For an 8K program it packs a good bit of functionality. I say go for it. We have the tools and the audience today to make larger RAM versions. Either start out with the real 16K version or make a clone. That's sort of what I'm trying to do with my game Rasteroids. My 2 cents. tjb
  13. Wow, I just finished playing your latest build and it's fantastic! It really captures the feel of the original. It also happens to be alot of fun to play! Keep of the great work! tjb
  14. And the answer :-) : Is it possible to do the same for 8-bit Atari with extended memory? For a file-based version it would certainly be feasible. tjb
  15. Thanks. I can reduce the range. Too much? Should you start out with 3 or should you have to earn them (by collecting powerups)? tjb Well I'm not sure what to recommend. Other than looking at the video I have not really read the thread to get a better idea of what you are shooting for. That being said the pulse bombs, although cool, seem to me to be a bit to powerful to make them a readily accessable resource. So my first suggestion is to make the range for them a little smaller. The second would be either to limit them (limited non-repleneshing supply), or make it possible to earn more. Just make sure that earning them is not too easy. It is really hard to gauge something like that without actually playing the game to get a feel for what would keep it challenging without being insanely difficult. At present you start out with 3 pluse bombs and can only obtain more by collecting the pulse bomb powerup. Initially my thought was to not start with any and make the player earn them. I'm thinking that is the better way to go. Thanks for the comments. tjb
  16. It pales in comparison to the many fine things you've done but thanks! tjb
  17. Thanks. I really appreciate the support and interest. I hadn't considered that but I could offer a more traditional mode along with an enhanced mode with the new features. To be honest I tried to avoid the artifacting from the get go and really didn't try single pixel. I'll try it and post the results. tjb
  18. Thanks. I can reduce the range. Too much? Should you start out with 3 or should you have to earn them (by collecting powerups)? tjb
  19. And the answer :-) : Is it possible to do the same for 8-bit Atari with extended memory? Yes, it should be. It would be cool if the 8-bit version could detect if you were running an XL/XE or extended memory and if so, take advantage of it. Otherwise you'd get the plain Jane version. That, to me, would be ideal. tjb
  20. Impressive! Game looks amazing. Will you release it on cartridge only? What's you further plan - selling carts or publish dump? Or xex file? Thanks for the kind words. I'd like to offer a 5200 cartridge and possibly an 8-bit as well. I'll most likely also provide an .xex file. I'm still thinking about a 5200 "Deluxe" version with rotating Asteroids and other enhancements. Steve "Classics" Tucker has a bank-switched 5200 cart that would allow such enhancements. At one point he offered to help with production. What format(s) would you like to see the game on? tjb
