Anybody have a lot of common 5200 carts they would like to sell? If so, PM me. Non-working is ok. I'm interested in the shells. Thanks, tjb

Man, that would be great! Please let me know when they become available for sell. tjb
-
Is that to say that you would have to sell a fairly large number in order to recoup the cost of making the Die? tjb

Aside from using cases from common carts, does anyone know of a source for 5200 cases? I wish someone offered them for sale in quantity. I plan on doing some cart building in the near future and the cases seem to be the one thing that isn't readily available. tjb

Ok, sorry to take so long and for the blurry picture but here goes... tjb I also have 1 1040STf with the revD board like the one above. For the 6chip upgrade, are the only changes the 2 rom pads next to the TOS chips and the one above U56 or is there any other changes that need to be done?? This may be a dumb question but, what is the advantage to the 6-chip upgrade over just replacing the 2 chips like I did? tjb

Does anyone know where I might purchase a copy? I seem to recall B & C having it listed but when I went to purchase it they said they had sold out. Thanks, tjb

The 1.4 2-chip upgrade came in today from B & C! I popped them in and now I have Rainbow TOS! Now I just have to break open my 520STFM and perform the same upgrade. It seems to boot faster or is it just my imagination (or wishful thinking)? tjb

No Blitter... tjb

I'm interested in purchasing an 8-bit cart or file version. Basically I'd buy it in any form you choose to distribute it in. tjb

What about machines from Canada?? Since Canada uses NTSC I wonder if maybe it originally came from there? tjb

Until the replace drive comes in I really don't have any way of running the utility. tjb The drive arrived today! Ok, I ran the program and the version is 1.02... tjb

My local Sam's had it for just $8.99! Of course I had to have a copy. It's a nice collection. tjb

In my case they ended up being at the lower left of the board and with only 2 chips. tjb

Thanks for the advice. I take it the 2.06 board is more of a mod and would require a fair amount of sodering? tjb
-
I guess that means I should go find out if I need 2 or 6 chips and get the 1.04 upgrade? tjb

All it says is TOS. The copyright is 1986, 1987. And lastly, no rainbow, just plain old black tjb

I'm ok with using the INTV controllers it's really more a problem with them breaking down. tjb -
Cuttle Cart 3 an Intellivision Must Have
tjb replied to GrizzLee's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Despite the issues with the Intellivision hardware I would certainly purchase one! Speaking of INTV issues, I wish someone would come up with a viable solution for the joysticks. Maybe something like the Redemption 5200 for the INTV? I would if I had the expertise but alas, what little skills I have are limited to software tjb -
I puchased an Apple IIc from a guy on Ebay who happens to live in my area. When I met with him to get the IIc he gave me a 1040STF for free! How often does that happen?! Anyway, the machine seems to be in great shape with the exception of the built in drive (which he mentioned). I've purchased a replacement drive from Best Electronics and I'd also like to upgrade the TOS version. Forgive me if my questions are really basic in nature or have been covered elsewhere as I'm pretty green when it comes to the ST. Anyway here goes: I understand that TOS originally came on floppy and later was built into ROM. I also know that it comes as either 2 or 6 ROM chips. I've opened up the 1040 in order to remove the defective drive and was wondering where these chips reside? Also, I assume that they are socketed? Is the upgrade as simple as replacing one set of chips for another? Also, what version of TOS would you recommend? Any info would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance, tjb

No. First I must get caught up with the holiday orders, which I will be mostly done with this week (I shipped out 45 orders today, expect to ship another 50 tomorrow). Next week I am moving out of state, which is why I'm hustling trying to get all these holiday orders done. As soon as I am unpacked and settled in, my focus will be physical production of Adventure II carts and then shipping the orders as quickly as I can. ..Al Wow! That's alot. I really appreciate all the hard work you do to make the homebrews happen. So where will you be moving to? Usually when you ship an order to me I get it the very next day since I'm in nearby San Antonio... tjb
