  1. Thanks neotokeo2001! I have found all the colors I need in Joust except for the egg white... which I want to change to red. I'll get another WIP hack up soon.
  2. Heh, thanks. I was thinking about making a label also, but I would like to see what you come up with. I seem to have misplaced the ROM for the Balloon Fight/Joust hack I did a while back. If anyone still has it (and wants to post it), I'll take another look at it and see if I can get the colors right.
  3. I decided to mess with it a little more after all. qboing.bin
  4. While it's nice that you're helping someone out, you and a few others are living proof of why Albert should permanently disable the edit feature. 986452[/snapback] I send my apologies to the mods and to everyone else for any and all wrong-doings on these boards in the past.
  5. Out of curiousity, I ran each of the ROMs that sku_u listed through my Krokocart to see what results I would get. I don't have these ROMs to test: Aotmafos Autorennen Bingo Spider Kong (plain) Time Race Time Race 2 Time Machine These ROMs rolled on my tv: Base Attack BiBi Year 1999 Spider Kong (Goliath) Robot Fight Phantom Tank Mission 3000 Forest Fire Birds Duck Shoot These ROMs did not roll on my tv: (although, I noticed a little jitter in some of them) Air Raid Zoo Fun UFO Patrol Time Warp Ski Hunt Panda Chase
  6. I haven't tried the original rom, but I will right now. My tv does roll with PAL carts. //edit// I just tried the original ROM and it runs fine too. I've tried many PAL ROMs on my Krokocart and Supercharger and they all rolled. Weird.
  7. I tried the ROM on real hardware via my Krokocart. It works great!

  9. Hmm, I didn't realize the prototype was PAL until now. I thought that some of the Flashback 2 consoles had the game on them(?) It would have rolled on screen then, correct? //edit// I just downloaded it on my Krokocart and tried it out. The title screen comes on just fine as though it were NTSC, but as soon as the game begins, the screen rolls and the game won't play - no sound or anything. I hacked the scoring graphics some time ago so that they were easier to read - thinking the ROM was NTSC.
  10. I'm stalling... I should be working, but I decided to mess with the label instead. I redrew the art and changed some things. Pac-Man's hand always bothered me, so I did something about it. Let me know what you guys think.
  11. I haven't loaded this one up on my Krokocart yet, but I think it is very cool that the items change from level to level! Great job, as always, Neotokeo2001!
  12. It's all over, thanks for helping spread the Christmas Cheer, guys!
  13. Cyplix is AtariCharles's hack of BiBi. I won the first cart in a score contest, and the second in a label contest.
  14. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! and a big THANKS to everyone who contributed/donated to add some cheer to this family's Christmas this year! I can hardly wait to give them the surprise! I mailed out a couple of packages yesterday, and as soon as I get the last donor's shipping information, I'll be out to the post today to mail off a couple more!

    Reindeer Rescue Bug

I tried to let Santa run through the playfield on both areas 1 and 2... but they seem to be working correctly. I'll keep at the game for a while to try area 3. Nice game, btw!

    Reindeer Rescue Bug

I have a Krokocart and I'd test the ROM for you. I'm not very good at a lot of games, but it sounds like this bug shouldn't be hard to test for(?)
  17. How old are you? 28 What sex are you? Male When did you get an Atari? 1980... Believe it or not, I do remember that Christmas! Why the 2600? What does it offer to YOU that other systems, whether old or new, don't? I have a very short attention span. I like games that will be fun no matter how much time I put into them. What drink keeps you going? (in case you spend long hours on the 2600). I don't spend long hours on the 2600. Otherwise, I'd say beer, but I'm trying to cut back. How many hours a day or at a time do you play the Atari? I play a few minutes at a time, usually checking out homebrew wips and game hacks. Otherwise, I don't play Atari so much. My gaming interests are pretty broad and I'm constantly looking for new games for various platforms that satisfy my short attention span. Occasionally there is the exception... I played a lot of Oystron and StarFire when I first bought them... and quite a lot of IXION when the prototype was released. Your top 3-5 games. WHY these choices? #5 - Hunchy 2: I love one-screen, arcade platformers. #4 - Thrust: Amazing game. I love to play with the pedals and the driving controller, even though I don't get very far. #3 - Qb: I'm a sucker for action/puzzlers #2 - StarFire: This game rules! #1 - Oystron: This was the game that got me interested in the homebrew scene. I'd tested the game out on an emulator, but blew it off without giving it much of a chance. When I obtained a copy later, I read the instructions and realized that there is a lot more to the game than what I had assumed at first glance. //runners up// Solar Fox, H.E.R.O., Marble Craze, Cosmic Ark, and Hack'Em Do you play any other systems besides the 2600? I'll play on any system as long as the game is fun. How do you view gaming of today as compared to the 70's/80's? I've played X-Box, Gamecube, and PS2 games in the display kiosks, but nothing really grabs my attention for very long. I hate loading times. I get bored easily when a game is obviously a clone of another. To me a game is like a good story. If the author doesn't grab my attention immediately, I'll probably find something else to fill my time. Graphics are nice, don't get me wrong, but they are only part of the game. I have a hard time being impressed by graphics anymore, unless the game is for a console with a lot of limitations. If the game companies want my attention, they'll need to wow me with such things as innovative ideas, gimmicks, fantastic gameplay without 18 buttons, etc. Most of the modern games I play are Indie PC games that have more of a classic feel anyways. Do you usually just play the 2600 alone or have someone play with you? (If so, is it a relative or friend?) Usually I play alone. I managed to get the kid to try JoustPong one day, and he loved it so much that I gave him the t-shirt that came with the cartridge! We haven't played much since, but he wore the shirt out! I would probably play a lot more if I knew anyone interested. The kid would much rather play MMORPGs.
  18. This is a hack of Pesco... I think I missed the Lock-N-Chase hack. I ran a search with no results... anyone have a link?
  19. I thought I'd give it a shot... except, I made the hat too big. When I tried it on his head, it covered up his eyes. Ah well... I'm finished drawing tonight. //edit// Okay, so I couldn't stop messing. There's not a lot that's interesting me online tonight. I squished and munched, added the hat and E.T. YAY!
  20. My Dreamcast is the most modern console I own and I love it. I'm not sure I'd rush out to buy another Dreamcast (mine works just fine), but I'd definitely be happy to see more games coming out!
