  1. It is going well. The 7800 port is looking good, the only real issue was making it work with big endian. I also released an updated Wii2600 last week, http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii2600. In addition to several bug fixes, I added a number of new options for paddle control support. At work we have been having a blast playing 4-player Video Olympics and Warlords with the motion-based controls (roll mode). --Raz.
  2. I recently started to port the ProSystem Emulator over to the Wii. At this point I have it running full screen at full speed. I still need to implement sound support and a minimal front end. I should have a preview release by the end of this weekend. --Raz.
  3. I have a new version of Wii2600 that I am about to release, but would really like to get some further testing on it. If anyone here wants to give it a trial run, please send me a PM. The changes introduced in this release (0.2) include: - 4-player paddle support (Warlords anyone?) - Ability to set the paddle mode to use + Wiimote "Roll mode" (similar to Bit Trip Beat) + Wiimote "IR mode" (rewritten since 0.1) + Analog Joystick mode (Classic, Nunchuk, Gamecube) - Wiimote paddle "Roll mode" settings + Sensitivity + Center adjustment - Wiimote paddle "IR mode" settings + Sensitivity - Analog joystick control support (in game and during menu navigation) - Driving control support (via d-pad and analog controls) - Ability to toggle color/BW modes from controller (Starmaster, etc.) - Improved sound support Thanks. --Raz.
  4. Great, thanks for the help, I sent you a PM. I am currently making a pass on the emus to provide additional controls support (including analog) some minor tweaks, etc. so the timing is perfect. Thanks again. --Raz.
  5. Thanks for the kind words. Also, just a heads up to let you guys know that I am hosting preview builds via the following thread on my forum: http://www.twitchasylum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2322 I am currently working toward v0.2 which currently has some audio improvements, the ability to swap between color/bw via all supported controllers for games like Starmaster, etc. The next thing I am going to work on is improved/expanded controller support (paddles, driving, trackball, etc.). Thanks. --Raz.
  6. Hmm, that is too bad. River Raid is the game that I have played the most so I am not sure what is going on. For me, I was getting quite a bit of tearing when vsync was disabled. With vsync (and double-buff) it works well for me. --Raz.
  7. There is a capability to turn on vsync and double buffering in the advanced options of the launcher. This will probably cause issues if you are playing in NTSC mode w/ a PAL television. Since I am in the states, I had no way to test that mode. --Raz.
  8. I have a libogc-based Stella in development for the Wii. It is currently fully playable and you can play at 2x w/ 100% speed. A pre-release binary is available for download at the following location. http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/User:Raz0red/Wii2600 --Raz.
  9. A couple of friends and I put together a video game podcast that focuses on both modern and classic gaming. http://www.twitchasylum.com In the latest show, we have an hour+ interview with Howard Scott Warshaw. He discusses several topics including programming on the VCS/2600, some thoughts on homebrew, the future of gaming, etc. Just thought you guys might be interested. Thanks. --Chris.
