[Did you love the first game you got for your 2600?]

My first two carts were Super Baseball and Donkey Kong. I received them with my 2600 Jr. for Christmas 1987. I loved both of those games... especially Super Baseball. I used the Detroit Tigers roster and I would make lineup cards, track statistics, and kept score for my games. I had binders of this stuff.

 

man, i used to do that with some nes baseball game. (maybe rbi baseball, or baseball stars.) and i also would record video of the games of the vcr, and do commentary with a cassette deck. too bad we didn't have youtube back then.

yes, this is a really cool synth. but you really need to be familiar with step sequencing and analog synths to do much with this. it also has a kaos pad, which is really cool. i plan on using it on some music in the future. but yeah, much cooler than the synth/sequencer on gameboy camera.

i actually have a preorder right now at gamestop. when i paid for it, i asked them if they were going to call me to remind me, and they said yes. i mean, that 5 bucks that we put down to reserve something is nothing more than giving them a free no interest loan. just like when you buy a gift card. that's why people push giftcards so hard. so yes, they should definitly call everyone who put down a reserve, and be punished if they do not.

I can't believe I am the only one who considers New Super Mario Brothers one of the best. IMO it is the best since Super Mario World.

 

yes, i really do think this could be the best, i just haven't put much time into it. i love how it has elements of like all the mario games, and assuming you have experience with them all, the gameplay is very intuitive.

that's really hard to say. i guess the obvious answer is galaxy. but i've probably had the most fun with mariokart. snes, 64, wii.

I wouldn't say Halo was the worst game I ever played but I didn't think it was anything special either. It's one of those games that other people seem to love and I find to be mediocre at best. And I've played WAY more than 5 games in life. Different people like different things, that's life.

 

Oh I understand completely. But here's the thing. The threads topic isn't what game you felt most disappointed in or what's the game you felt was the most mediocre. This threads title was " What's the worst game you have ever played.

If you answer Halo, or a Final Fantasy game to a question like this, what you like and don't like has nothing to do with it. You simply haven't played many games.

 

nope, just means that i don't like rpg's. never have. so, i guess "most detrimental to my videogame playing" is the title i'd give ff7. i mean, i can tell for the type of game that it is, it's 5 stars. just don't like that type of game. hope my atariage forum membership card doesn't get revoked.

SwordQuest Earthworld 2600 what a lesson in futility. Oh wait did I say Earthworld I meant Fireworld.

 

oh, yeah, how could i forget this one. this game made me want to kill. but i only payed 2 bucks for it, so... and star raiders drove me nuts, too. and as for my dislike of ff7, i can't stand drawn out dramatic cutscreens. i did always like the cut screens in ninja gaiden, though.

yes!! i loved the 3 stooges game. anyway, please don't respond to this, because i'm sure i'm in the deep minority, but i think the game i hated the most ever was.....final fantasy 7 for ps. that game single-handedly turned me off of videogames for like 3 years. of course, i am nowhere near being a hardcore gamer, so...

more recently, i really was pissed with wii play. that was an insult-of-a-game.

yeah, i came here to complain about this game. i just downloaded a few minutes ago. it plays like total shite. and from what i can tell, you have to use to wiimote (nes controller style) to play it. but anyway, i played it once, and man does it suck. i mean, maybe if i played it some more it may get better, but my definate first impression is that this game blows the big one. i was thinking that it looked like h2o (psx) but, no, it's pretty lame. this wiiware shit is starting to turn me off.

haven't played with it much yet. i've played a little galaga 90 and star soldier (whatever it's called wiiware game). i like it. it's not as heavy duty as my tekken 5 ps2 hori stick. like i said, i got it for 20 bucks, so it's worth it.
