  1. I was disappointed when I FINALLY got to play ALIVE! By Brunswick. It looked sooooooo good in the Sears Christmas catalog every year, but finally seeing it and playing it 30 years later...... well.....
  2. Found the answer...... Command line: odyssey2 -cart1 voice -cart2 (filename)
  3. Latest version... 177..... How do I enable the voice module for games like KC's Crazy Chase? Yes, I have the Voice roms, but I can not figure out how to enable them....
  4. THIS is my favorite set. DosBox included, and all games are setup to run with a really nice interface. Box and media scans when available. Include both floppy and CD games, as well as PD/Sharewae /Commercial. Find something he does not have? It is easy to ad to your collection. Front end is awesome. https://archive.org/details/eXoDOS_Collection_v2.0 Also has a Windows 3.11 game archive too.
  5. Get the Rolls Royce of game controller adapter. It just works. It is awesome. http://skunx7.wixsite.com/bliss-box

    tight carts

This will help shed some light on the matter.... and Yes, the lines through the word Atari are normal. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/255201-7800-cart-issues/
  7. I have both a CBS and a Coleco Colecovision. Is the CBS worth anything more being that it was not the norm in the US? Serial number is 001210 and model number is 240000 if it means anything.
  8. Just do not want to pay ePay prices....
  9. What is the latest with the 7800 Harmony Cart? Also... Anything coming down the pike for the Intellivision?
  10. Here is the disk version of K-Dos from 1981. Also includes all the files mentioned on page 2 of the K-Dos user manual. Archive contains both ATA and ATX version of the disks. K-DOS (1981)(K-Byte)(US).zip
  11. Just gauging interest.... What would an Atari 7800 autographed by Steve Golson be worth?
  12. When I bought my US Robotics HS Courier Dual Standard.... Wow that was a mouthful.... Anyway.... It was a 28.3, and they guaranteed it would be the last modem you ever bought. Sure enough... The 33.6 upgrade was free and the 56K was a daughter card that plugged in. Sure enough... It was the last modem I ever bought.
  13. In the 80's I owned an Atari 400, 800, 800XL, Commodore 64, Coleco Adam, Atari 520ST, Atari 520STfm, 1040ST, Mega 2 and Amiga 500. I love the Atari 8-bit line the best, and to this day, it is still my favorite. There are many, many new hardware devices being sold and developped today. Check out http://www.atarimax.com and http://www.lotharek.pl/ for some cool hardware. I have purchased from both and they are both great people. The Atari 1200XL had the absolute BEST keyboard of any computer ever made, BAR NONE! However, there were problems with the keyboard (mylar over time), and the OS had a compatibility bug, that did not allow some games to run. However in this day and age, there are fixes for both, making the 1200XL the ULTIMATE Atari 8-bit. Best Electronics sells the replacement mylar for the 1200XL to take care of the problem. There is also a board you can put in the 1200XL and run multiple roms, making your 1200XL run the roms from the 800, 800XL, XE, and XE Game System making the comparability a non issue. I have used Apple II, TI, Tandy (Model X and CoCos) and others pretty extensively both back in the day, and in modern times, and I always have, and always will recommend the Atari 8-bit line. There are plenty of other basic's out there besides standard Atari Basic. Basic XL, Basic XE, Turbo Basic just to name a few that blew Atari Basic out of the water. Also languages like Action are a favorite among programmers, and it has been used to make several commercial games. Mac/65 is a 6502 assember, and considered to be the best. From what I hear, 6502 machine language is pretty easy, and a lot of fun to program compared to most other CPU's. I would love to learn it, I have the books, but I just do not have the time. AtariMax sells a TRICKED OUT 1200XL at an amazing price. with the mylar fixed, selectable 32-in-1 OS roms for compatibility and a 256K RAM upgrade at a GREAT price! http://www.atarimax.com/forsale/index.html This is NOT your father's 1200XL!
  14. Considering ordering the deluxe edition. Is there a list of what homebrew titles come on the SD card?

    7800 Cart issues

Is there a SIMPLE way to tell the difference between the 3 units without reading the tag on the bottom? For instance, can you look at a pic on eBay and tell what version it is?

    7800 Cart issues

That would explain it!! Atari Corp 7800 with no expansion port. I am assuming the blue 88 stamp on the serial number is an indication it was made in 1988??

    7800 Cart issues

My 7800 works great. However.... When I play 2600 games, carts slide in and out like they should. 7800 games for some reason, the system does not want to let them go. I have like 8, and they all do the same thing. Strange, as I know they are the exact same size. I can put them in several 2600's and compatibles I have, and they come out no problem, but in the 7800, the system does not want to let go of them. I can easily pick up the system by the cartridge in the cartridge port, and have no worries of it dropping.
  19. OK Guys.... I have a soft modded Wii, and it can play MOST NTSC and PAL games (I am in the US) without a problem. HOWEVER (and this is where it gets strange) some PAL games will not play on my TV. Most will, some will not. Now, with that being said, I can take my SAME Wii, and SAME hard drive to a friends house, and they play FINE on his TV!! No changed settings, nothing. What does his TV do that mine does not? The problem is the game plays, but the screen rolls very rapidly. Different non working games roll at different speeds. Most PAL games work fine. I have tried on several TVs that I own, and no luck so far. I bought a TCL 55" LED within the last year. and have yet to try it on there...... I am hoping it will work. The TV's that it DID work on were CRT's and rear projections. Friends TV that it worked on were rear projections. Simple solution is get the NTSC version of the game. Reason I do not is Deal or No Deal is completely different, and there are some games that were never released on NTSC.
  20. I thought I posted this before, but could not find it. Is there a tutorial (video prefered) that shows how to setup and use U1MB in Altirra? I want to get one but want to try it before I do. I have tried a few times, and could not get it working. Thanks in advance.
  21. Anyone have a tutorial (video or text on setting up U1MB in Altirra? I want to get one, but I want to play around with it first. Tried a couple times to set it up, but could not get it going. Been working a LOT of hours lately, so time has been limited. Thanks in advance.
  22. I have played it many times over the year. I can honestly say, I have played no less than a dozen separate machines. Cedar Point still has two of them. I enjoy the game for what it is. A novelty. It will never be as fast as Black Knight, but it can still be a fun game.
  23. There is a pinned post in this very forum for that subject.... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/174831-atari-8-bit-related-bbss/
