Had this thing for a week or so now. Setting up PiPLay and RetroPi and have to say, I LOVE THIS THING!! Not as easy as a PC to setup, but the price, quality and performance for a pocket sized, go anywhere, light weight, fully equipped emulation power house is amazing!! I have the B+, and it struggles a little with PS1 and N64, but they do run. The Pi 2 which just came out and is the same price runs them both at full speed. For $35 for the device, $15 more for a kit... Case, SD card, power supply, HDMI cable etc, and the cost of a Bliss Box (or better yet, a Four Play), you have an amazing classic gaming rig that is the size of a deck of playing cards!! Oh yeah, this thing runs on the same power supply as your Android phone. 5 Volts!! You can leave it run 24/7!! No noise!! Totally silent!!

I have personally owned a Bliss Box for 2-3 years now, and I have to say, this thing is AMAZING!! He has done an amazing job, and I am DYING to get a hold of the Four Play. Trust me when I tell you that this is one amazing device. I collect real hardware. I have several Atari 2600's, 8-bits, 5200, 7800, Intellivision, Colecovision, Odyssey2, PS1-4, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, Dreamcast, NES, SNes and a lot more. I actually PREFER emulation using the BlissBox with real controls!! How else can you use a Saturn controller (considered by many to be the best gamepad ever made) on a Nes, SNES or other system? Use REAL Atari sticks on the colecovision.... Etc.... Etc.... Etc.... This thing is AMAZING!! I go to a couple of classic video game shows a year looking for controllers. I took this thing with me along with my laptop and it was amazing how many people started drooling over this thing!! The developer is a class act. My Saturn connector came loose and I contacted him and he took care of it right away. Short time later, I had it back working as good as new. He also likes the challenge of writing new drivers for devices that have not been tested yet. When I sent it to him, I also sent a Bally Astrocade controller as well, as it was not on the compatability list, and it just simply did not work. The BlissBox now supports Bally Astrocade. I just recently got the 3 Flashback units (Atari, Colecovision and Intellivision). I have not tried them yet, but being the Colecovision and Intellivision controllers are not comparable with their ordered counterparts, I am assuming they will not work with Bliss Box.... YET. Want even better news? It runs on the Raspberry Pi!!! So if you build a small emulation station for your large TV, You are GOLDEN!!! Bottom line: We have to get this thing funded!!!

As far as OS.... Windows is a no-brainer. As far as Bliss-Box.... Awesome!! I love mine!! Sean created one hell of a product!! I can not wait for the Four Play to be released! Highly recommended!!

Anyone remember Kilroy? He cracked quite a few games back in the day, and also sold a bootleg copy of the happy chip as well as the US Doubler. I talked to him a few times, and bought the US Doubler from him. He was a pretty good guy. Brian ******** from Buffalo NY is all I remember.

Anyone run an Atari 8-bit BBS back in he day? I ran the APL (Atari Pirates Local) 130. It had a union theme to it. Ran the AMIS BBS software that I added a lot of customization too. I really liked BBCS but it had so many bugs in it. Great idea, just wished it worked better.

If Mame counts..... I used to drive semi a few years ago, and I would deliver envelopes to the IRS up in Detroit. After I was done unloading, I would drive a few blocks to old Tiger Stadium (when it was still standing), and sit outside the stadium and play Mame while waiting for a load going back to Cleveland.

I remember as a kid DROOLING at the Sears Christmas catalog over the Alive machine. Wanted it so bad!! Would still like to play one, as I never saw one in person, but I did see some vids on Youtube, and realized I am glad I never got one. I guess as a kid it would have been fun. I love when the ball hits a spinner and knocks it silly, and this game had three of them. Aspen is identical just a different theme. Would love to see one in person as well. I love the ads you see for this, the Vectrex etc, Where a family of four is standing around watching the young boy play and they have these fake smiles on their face. I put a Midway Space Invaders in the HATCHBACK of a 1985 Chevy Camaro years ago. I wish I would have taken pictures of it. THAT was cool. Turned it on its side, and it slid right in.

I am on my android tablet, and don't have my computer in front of me. But there is a native PC program that I can not think of the name of that does Atascii. Works great, but I have not used it in a long time and forget the name.

It does not get any better than WinUAE. Even the Amiga Forever package uses WinUAE. Takes a little while to learn, but so worth it. Nothing you can not do or configure.

I already have like 10 of these, but to anyone interested in them, JUMP ON THIS!! These are some of the best joysticks ever made for the Atari/Commodore DB9 connection.

Check out the Bliss Box. It is basically an Everything-to-USB adapter. I must say, after owning if for almost 2 years, it is INCREDIBLE. 15 ports covering anything you can throw at it. Price is a litle steep, but if you consider what you are getting, it is worth every penny.

I love both PinMame and Future Pinball. I have a monitor that I can turn horizontal, so Playing both games horizontalty is AMAZING!! Almost forget it is a computer screen. I have to say, it is commercial, but check out The Pinball Arcade!! Not the Microsoft game from years ago, but this thing is Amazing. It is available for the PC, Android, X-Box, PS3 and those two other platfroms from that fruity company I refuse to name. This thing is inctedible!!

OK, I gotta chime in here..... I hope I do not go on a 3 page rant, but I will try to keep it brief. I have been around the classics since day 1. I am 47, and started with a Telstar Alpha in 77 or whatever year it was released. then added an Atari VCS (before it was called 2600), Atari 400, 800, 800Xl, Commodore 64c, Atari 520ST, Atari 520STfm (upgraded to 1mb), Mega 2, Amiga 500 and finally moved to the PC world in the 386 days. This is all when they were the must have systems, not years later as a collector. I loved them now, and love them today. Even though I did not own them back in the day, I knew my way around on a Vic 20, Apple //s, TRS-80 Model xxx, Coco and all the rest. I lived fot this stuff. Today, I have a storage locer with (amongst others) a few Vic 20s, Commodore 64s, 3 Amiga 500s, my origianl Atari 800, Odyssey 2, Atari 800XLs, 600XLs and I dont know what else, but trust me, there is more. I started emulating an IBM PC and a Mac on the Atari ST in 85 and 86 and have been emulating ever since. It has been a VERY long road, and emulation has really came a long way, and I have to admit, I am at the point where I PREFER emulation over the real thing. Want a memory upgraqde or a faster clocked CPU? Not a problem!! Wanna run PAL games on an NTSC system? Couldnt be easier!! Slow load times (Commodore 64)?? Thing of the past!!! Floppy discks rotted after 30 years?? Burn them to a CD/DVD!! Gameboy screen to small to see because you are getting older? I play Gameboy on a 55" TV!!! Small apartment? I live in a 760 square foot condo, so space is at a premium, but I can play any game, any time!! Not the same without real controllers? I have a BlissBox (15 port to USB) as well as an X-Arcade Tankstick. Monitors? I have a Samsung 27" that rotates to horizontal for the horizontal arcade games, as well as a NEC MultiSync 21" Super Brite CRT for when I really want authenticity! (I must admit, Vector games on the NEC Superbrite CRT are AMAZING!!) So.... Lets recap... I can litterally plug any controller known to man into the BlissBox and use it on the PC for emulation. The possibilites are ENDLESS. Sega Saturn controller on Nintendo or Super NES Atari 2600 joystick on Odyssey 2 or Colecovision. (Wico Bat Handle on Colecovision FTW!!) (I have a collection of over 200 real controllers for every system imaginable and still looking for more). 21" CRT monitor for the true aspect ratio on the classics PunchOut / Super PunchIOut / PlayChoice 10 on TWO SCREENS the way it was meant to be played!! (I have a real dual screen PC-10 BTW) I have the entire collection of PSX, Sega-CD, Saturn, CD-i, Amiga CD, CD32, Jaguar and 3DO images all on a hard drive, so Thousands of discs, taking NO PHYSICAL SPACE!! Emulation has progressed enough where it is just as good, if not better than the real hardware. That being said, I am still activily buying new hardware. I am getting a 5200 next weekend, and still looking for a Bally Astrocade. I am dying to get an Atari 1200XL, as there has never been a better keyboard for ANY machine relased anywhere. But for the reasons listed above, I am perfectly fine with emulation. The thing I have to laugh at is the anti-Mame group over at KLOV. They hate Mame with a passion, yet they have a 60-in-1 cabinet. Hello??? It is Mame on a PC-Board!! I guess the real reason is they are not smart enough to configure a front end. LOL. Yes, I love real hardware, but weighing the options, I still prefer emulation.

Wow, Has the Game.com emulation progressed? Last I checked it was not working. This is a good thing as I was looking forward to it. Thank you for the heads up.

Correct. That is why I started with STeem and Altira. I use UAE for Amiga. I just mentioned it as to explain why I prefer emulation over real hardware when I have the option of either.

STeem and Altira for sure. As someone who HAS original hardware, but still uses emulation because of the easiness of swittching os and basic revisions, as well as PAL and NTSC. Not an issue with emulation. I own 3 Amiha 500s and a 3000, but keep them safely tucked away in safe storage. No Pal/NTSC issues, Switching between OCS and AGA is not a problem. Try doing THAT on real hardware!! Best thing about Amiga 500 emulation???? NO FLICKER!!!!!!!!

I am surprised nobody mentioned STARGATE. Defender was OK, but Stargate added MORE BUTTONS!! Too damn hard. On the other hand, Stargate is my favorite 'eye candy' game from the 80s. I loved the marquee (first one I ever bought for my wall collection), and I love WATCHING the attract screen, Very high contrast, perfect pallet of bright, vivd colors, and the way the ships explode where the exposions are HUGE. I actually prefer watching the attract mode over playing the game. LOVE the attract mode. Love all the Pac-Man sequells INCLUDING the bootlegs (New Puc-X, Hangly Man etc...). Still looking for Maze-Man. Someone on KLOV had one and was selling it but never wrote back, and someone here local IN MY AREA was buying it, but can not find it. I am dying to see this. Ass the general consenses here goes, I agree that Professoe Pac-Man was terrible. Not a bad trivia game, but did not need the Pac-Man theme. Press the F11 key as soon as it starts 'loading' the cassette. The faster your Mame machine, the faster the game will load the cassette. As soon as game loads, hit F11 again to throttle the game to 100% speed.

IF it has to be real arcade hardware, anbd MAME cabintets are not allowed.... I go with the following: Pac-Man 30th Anniversary (Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga) Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr and Mario Bros in the widebody cabinet. Centipete, Millipede and Lets go Bowling. 3 REAL arcade cabs, 9 games. Then again, I could pick Arcade Legends.... Oh wait, that is David Foley, HELL NO!!

Comparing PC Ditto (software) to Magic Sac (hardware) was not a fair comparison. The Magic Sac was emulating a Motorola 68000, the same CPU found in the Atari STs. The PC Ditto emulator was emulating an Intel X86 cpu. Not compating apples to apples.

Long time Stella user, long time emulation user as far as that goes. I emulated a Mac on an Atari ST before some of you were even born!! Anywho...... Problem with Stella. If set to OpenGL, The mouse is invisible in full screen mode. Can make selections, but have to have mouse in just the right spot. Works fine in software mode, but perfomance on games suffers. Frogger flickers like hell when he is on the same line as the female frog. WAY more so than usual. Also mouse is fine in windowed mode. Can switch from windowed during menu and full screen during game play, but eyes are getting bad in my old age. I need full screen. I have insralled latest version in a new location to test it and same thing. Any ideas???
