As small as PCBs are, wouldnt it be just as easy to accomidate two PCBs, one at each end?

Would love to see an Air Raid style case. Not to counterfit, but I like the idea of a handle to pull the game out.

scotty replied to Smoke Monster's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Why so many USB controllers? I did it that way until I found this. Trust me.... THIS THING R O C K S ! ! ! http://spawnlinux.dy....org/Bliss-Box/ I have a MASSIVE controller collection. I have a very large plasic tote that I got at Walmart that I keep a good percentage of them in, and my X-Arcade Tankstick on top of it. -
Would Definatly be interested. I have about 4-5 5200 controllers and a 5200 trackball if you need any testing done.

^ Does not look like that one has the option to enter initials like the OP was looking for. I know some of the MultiPac upgrades do. I believe the Clay Cowgil board does.

The reason behind the levels in the American version over the Jap version is that levels were REMOVED from the Jap version to make the American version harder.... If you look at the level on the barrel and rivet screen, it will say 1. 3rd screen (barrel 2) will say level 2 (Elevator and pie factory for level 1 removed). -
Btw... I still have 2 Amigas (my original, and one I got at a flea market) in a storage locker, along with some Atari 8-bits, Vic 20s, C-64s and various other machines. Because I live in a small condo, I do not have the space to set them up. My wife and I have our PCs side-by-side in the living room, and we had to get rid of some furniture for that. Thankfully emulation of both ST and Amiga is almost flawless, or close enough that you will not notice any difference. I run dual monitors with one being a 21" CRT for emulation authenticity. Some day we will have a bigger place, and I will be using real hardware again, but untill then, emulation suits me just fine. Not to mention, hard drive space is a lot nicer than having THOUSANDS of floppy disks all over the place. I think and emulation vs real hardware debate would be more productive.

I had a couple of ST's (520, 1040, Mega 2), Amiga 500 and 386SX PC back in those days. While I grew up an Atari fanboy, I loved my ST. That being said, Jay Mnor (the guy who designed the Atari 800) made an awesome machine in the Amiga. There were things I liked about both. Multitasking, graphics and sound were all better on the Amiga. PC was still a few years away yet. Mac was black and white, so I would not even put that one in the same league. Both the ST (Magic Sac, Spectre GCR) and Amiga (Shapeshifter) could run MAc software faster than a real Mac for less than half the price, yet, you still had Mac fans swearing by their Macs while those in the know laughed at their ignorance. Both ST and Amiga could run PC, but it was sloooooooow.

I have a Super NES (SNES) store display kiosk in A1 excellent condition. ALL ORIGINAL!! That is right, ORIGINAL MONITOR, ORIGINAL STICKERS, system and controllers. Many you see today do not have the original monitor, or are missing a controller. It is in the Cleveland Ohio area, and is for PICKUP only, as it is too heavy to ship. Will make an AWESOME Christmas present. Clean as the day it was made. No scratches. $1000 or best offer. http://www.gamesnipe...isplay-RARE.jpg

Ahhh... Such great memories..... I had an Atari 800 and MPP 1000c modem (300 baud). That was all there was back then, 1200 baud was not out yet. Anywho.... One of the local Atari Dealers in Lakewood Ohio was called B&G Electronics. The name of their BBS was T.A.P. short for The Atari Peekers. Pretty cool, I know.... Anyways... They used Amis as their BBS software. They DID NOT HAVE A PASSWORD PROTECTED SYSTEM AT THE TIME. You could log in using any name you wanted. There were a couple of Sysops, but "Sysop Jim" was the one that mainly handled the day-to-day operation. Many of us locals were in to 'phreaking' back in the day. Using a long distance carrier with a code to call other BBS'es all over the country/world without paying for them. I think you know where this is going..... One night for laughs and giggles I called the board at around 2-3AM, and entered "Sysop Jim" as my username with "Sysop" being in inverse video just like he did it. I went to the main message board and posted something similar to the following.... "After long deliberation we have come to the conclusion that we will now be known as The Atari Phreakers instead of Peekers. Here are some codes to get you started!! XXXXX XXXXX XXXXXX" Needless to say, they were NOT amused! I thought it was funny as hell, but they didn't. The next morning, and for a few days after the board did not answer. Several days later it was back, and of course, this time with password protection. I am sorry, but as a 14 year old kid, that was fun.
