Also the thought about multiple stashes . As i understood these were all in a Giant Warehouse and multiple parties bought Sections from the main Pile.
2006 was first contact for me from the original Stash . Some titles were probably in multiple thousands or more. That's why there still selling on Ebay 14 years later Venezuela

Ok thats a start. These are the Actual pictures of games available to me in 2011 Just the Atari and Turbgfx not including Coleco, Intellivision,Nintendo or computers .
This is from the main find and i think its probably close to what titles were found and available in mass quantities of over 100 to 200 each except some titles that were 20 copies or less.
I was set up too buy a huge lot for alot of Money but became suspicious after my initial buy of a couple thousand dollars .

Has anyone ever tried to make a list of the Games found in the Caracas warehouse ?
Back in 2006 i was trying to buy the whole room from a guy named Juan I was buying 100's motorodeo and ikari warriors plus others.
I still have the pictures he sent of the Room in 2006 .
There also turned out to be huge amount of software for computers too mostly Apple II, Atari 800 and Commodore stuff i ended up buying bunch from another guy in 2011.
I know there were at least 93 titles available for the 2600 and about 21 for 5200 . Also Colecovision and Intellivision
I think it would help with applying rarity to a few carts obviously Motorodeo and Ikari .
-
Wow you were one of the first buyers =) i didn't hear about them till late 90's .They usually sent a games list with the orders. Thats what i was hoping someone might have.
Did you ever order from Telegames or FBE ?
-
They had mailing List with list flyers. I remember them from Rec.Games.Video.Classic Boards . Like Jerry G and others.

CPU Wiz Sold his ?
-
WTF!! I missed everything? so let me understand this? there are 3 airraids with boxes now. Counting the first one for sale on ebay 2 years ago ? + 2 more in last few weeks ?
-
Hahaha I think im going to have to beg CPUWIZ to put my other cart back together. It will involve soldering and re gluing the label and im way to paranoid to try that. So it sits in a box in pieces waiting for resurrection. I would love to hit a convention up if they ever come to East coast.
-
I bought the Air Raid
because my other one is still laying in a box like a open heart surgery case. Not sure how to go about putting it back together( soldering, glueing so forth) Maybe i shouldnt. Did anyone ever get around to making replica boxes for Air Raid? -
yeay! =)

Would it be inappropriate to ask what Wonder007 does for a living and what his annual income is?

He collects rare Atari 2600 artifacts. That is all you need to know.

..Al
Whoa artifacts =)

There are less than 20 known to exist. So is it 13 or 20
13 is a number that is "less than" 20 isn't it?

HaHAHA

Pretty cool video!
Even has an homage to Pac-man, Kaboom, Donkey Kong, and it looks like the Atari 2600 version of Space Invaders!

I know it's probably best for me to keep this thought to myself but... well... I just can't.
With a little less than a day and a half to go, the bid on this item is now up over $12,000.
$12,000 for some cardboard, plastic and silicon, housing one of the crappiest video games ever made.
It's rare, sure. But it's still crap.
I don't have any ill will towards Tanman for selling this -- absolutely it's his prerogative and good for him for making it happen. I also don't have any ill will towards the bidders on this item, and the eventual winner who will pay at least $12,000 for it, maybe a lot more. There's a good chance that these bidders are part of the community here and if not, they're still probably known to some of the board members.
But... really. $12,000? For this?
I think it's madness.
Tell that too the person who just bought action #1 comic book for 1.5 million or the guy who paid 900,000.00 for a Honus Wagner baseball card . Too each his own
If you are wealthy enough that you can spend that kind of money on a collectible item like this without incurring severe financial hardship, good for you. You've achieved a level of one definition of success that I am sure a lot of Americans (and others, but mostly Americans, of which I am one, although I don't count myself among this lot) both envy and aspire to. And you're free to spend your money however you like.
But, honestly... is this how you want to spend it? Do you anticipate looking back on this years or decades hence and think, that was a good way to spend that money? "It really made a difference in my life, in the world, for me to spend that money on this game and add it to my personal horde of rare items."
Minimum wage in the U.S. is $7.25 per hour. A lot of people are struggling to get by in life on that. Working for $7.25 an hour, 40 hours a week, it takes over 41 weeks to make $12,000. Before taxes. Realistically, this is more than a year's wages for a person in that boat.
Good for you. You're not in that boat. But... again... really?
I'm not sure what Tanman plans to do with the money he'll make on this. And again, it's his prerogative to spend it any way he wants. I am just hopeful that he finds a better use for it.
That is all. Flame away.

Also wanted to note that I have been contacted by a person with a feedback score of 9 who wanted to bid. Everything checked out contact wise and they just bought a car off eBay last month and got a positive review from that seller. I cleared them to bid.
Your not going to reveal there name are you ?
-
I have gotten three people today who have bid then retracted their bids stating "Wrong amount entered". Now I have the current leader asking if he can cancel also. This after he has had the highest bid for over two days. I have no doubt that these people are children just trying to get there name attached to the auction. Each bidder that does this is getting banned from the auction and being reported to eBay.
They have had no effect on the price because their bids have not run up someone else auto bids. I figured this was going to happen with all the attention it is getting.
Hey tan did you contact eBay and ask about how to get paid with PayPal over 10 K? I need to know =)
-
Yes, that's the main reason I'm still doubting this.
Between a letter with no pictures or other evidence and a box I've held in my hands and thoroughly examined, I'll believe the box I held in my hands.
..Al
Hell yeah. I hope this is true, it would have saved me from gutting my cart 4 years ago =). But at least we know whats inside. Now to go take a mortgage out for this puppy!! =O
-
Just quick question . Wasn't this supposed to be a gate fold box? Didn't someone write into a Atari magazine saying they saw the box and it was a gate fold box like a book?
-
At this point if it is an April Fools Joke it's no longer funny at all.
It's funny until April 1st is over worldwide.

IF THIS IS REAL !!! MY OH MY . IM #$%#$%#$%$#%%$# Flipping out

If i remember mine came from Georgia =O He said it came from local thrift or tag sale cant remember which one. It just seems so weird if it was Brazilian why wouldn't at least 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 show up [email protected]!!!! Or anywhere else except the USA until one does get discovered i would have to lean towards this being a US release . And believe me im not saying this because i own and im trying to protect its value > otherwise why would i dissect it =P i Just love the whole story behind it . And truly feel it was one of the last carts produced by a small company. Caught up in the video game boom of the early 80's only to get destroyed in a mere couple months and disappeared.
