JagFan422 is correct if he fires up his JAG a 64-BIT System after playing a N-64, Saturn, PS-1, PS-2, X-BOX, etc. to play these games (Checerd Flag - a Virtual Racing cloan w/ the worse control on earth, Kasaumi Ninja- a Mortal Combat Cloan That is slugish in play and has special moves that he will need to look up on the internet cause the instruction book gives no indicaytion that they exist even then then the game is only fun if you have not played a 2d fighter in a very long time and don't mind a very slow fighter, and he gets Cybeermorph a dark polygon rip off of Star Fox)..then he will be very dissapointed I don't feel we should lie to people when they get a Jag if we are honest maybe he will get some better games and not put the system up for auction a week later Also why wouldn't someone buying the system today a 64 bit system not assume that it was as good as the N64 and that the games would look better then the 32 bit PS-1, Saturn, 3d0, and the 24 bit Neo Geo This is a list of Fun Games on the Jag.. Tempest 2000 is a great game if you like old school aracade games, Also NBA Jam rules, Alien Vs Predator, Doom and Wolf 3d are good 1st person shooters, Ultra Vortex is a descent MK2 rip-off, Super Burnout, and Power Drive Ralley, and Iron Soldier. These are descent 16 bit conversions....(be warned they look exactly the same as the SNES version so only buy if you dont have the game) Flashback, Pitfall, Bubsy, Zool, and Theme Park is a good Sim Also no matter what anyone here tells you the Jag CD is not worth the Money for any reason other than braging rights their were only 10 games made for it and 1/2 of those are the old Laser disc arcade games from the early 80's Your friend Pete,

I have a JAGUAR/JAG CD and I like it, but the forums will very much miss lead you and rate games higher based on comparisons to other Jag games not how much fun the game is in todays world. You will find games such as Checkerd Flag, Trevor McFur, Club Drive, Dino Dudes, and Cybermorph that are incomplete (no music or very bad control). That if released for your Nintendo 64, Saturn, or PS1 would be considered crap(Actually most games on the Jag look good in screen shots but once you play them you find if Atari would of made the game companies finish them they could of been very good games). The Jag also has 30% of its library or direct (SNES, Genesis ports w/ slightly better colors and animation), this was a problem when released because your buddies would laugh thear assses off at your supposed 64 bit system handling substandard 16 bit games. Jag Pluses....DOOM, Wolf 3d, Alien Vs Pred.(best game ever made for any system),Iron Soldier 1 and 2, all the Atari 2K series, Theme Park, Rayman, Super Burnout, NBA JAM TE JAG MINUSES...every Jag you get on E-Bay will include Trever Mc Fur, 2 copies of Cybermorph, Checkerd Flag, Dino Dudes, and Club Drive...Being that you get these games and 2 others sound like a bargain but they will make you hat your poor Jag... 3DO is the same way all 3do games have great music and great graphics...but be very selective because 3do has 300+ games but their may be only 30-40 good games for the system. (buy only Arcade and Video Games you have heard of, and Studio 3do Games) also as stated above 50% are FMV games because at that point in time that is what video game makers thought was the next leap also you may need to see video running of Polygon games because if memory serves me right the system was less built for polygons then the Jag and also I know THE 3DO CONTROLLER SUCKS you must find a rare 3rd party Genesis rip off controller cause the controller doesnt look bad but it is if you have a 2 to 8 player game then the controller must plug in the top of the other their is only 1 joystick port on the system(the controllers daisy chain this is 100 times worst than you could ever imagine) lastly if you do choose to go the 3d0 route please get a GOLDSTAR unit the controllers work better and the system is better overall. In conclusion I would buy a Jag bundle and be very selective w/ the games I bought or if you are one of those people that needs every game category represented then get a Goldstar 3D0 (if you get the 3D0 try to buy this weird party game call TWISTED if you get a group of 3 or 4 People over you can play that game forever and have a great time )

Yeah well, I´ll take random throwing any day over repetitive and predictable patterns. Though it, in your book, was unheard of at the time to have a shooter sans music, I don´t believe it justifies the "crappy game label" that some like to put on it. Don´t get me wrong, Trevor McFur would never make it into my shooter top 50, but it definitely doesn´t deserve to be placed alongside games like Chequered Flag and DDV. Come on it is like torcher to try to play either of these games McFur wins the better game because at least you have some controll over your space ship before you are blown up by a random enemy. To be honest both games play the same start...last a few minutes crash...go a little more crash.....go a little more explode... But McFur you get great graphics (No Music, I cant even think of a game on any system from Nintendo on that didn't include some sort of music) and then their is just words between the levels and a picture of a Lion guy

Like 99 % of the Jag Population I have a Cybermorph game cart only I made a Genesis Box Work for mine and a friend of mine used a vcr tape box it would be nice to have the box scan to tape to the front of the box if not I will make one on my Paint Program...I would buy boxes on E-Bay but if you use a Jaguar box more then like 3 times then it starts to fall apart so I may just convert a bunch of VCR Tape or Sega Boxes into Jag Boxes Also Every Manual I have is starting to look like crap but I open Up my Genesis Games and the manual is in perfect shape and the game will pop in system and work the 1st time wish Jag would of came up w/ a better case. Thanks for help or any other solutions to good Jag Boxes, Thanks Pete

I got Cybermorph with the Jag I bought at the Video Game store it is dated 1994 is it the 2 meg version I read about? What is the 2 meg version? What is the difference? How do you know if you have the 2 meg one? Thanks in advance for the answers, Pete

Checkerd Flag would rank as the worst because the game came out at the same time as Virtua Racing an the Genesis....and VR stomped it into the ground thank goodness EB Games would take a game back for any reason at that time I took it back and got Dino Dudes another game that sucked....but not because it wass unplayable like CF you could control the Dino Dude and play the game the way it was intended it just wasn't a fun game.... Checkerd Flag was bad because as you know the controll was bad their was no exscuse for this it was a port of a LINX game that was great...and I know the excuses you just have to get use to it ...I wanted to and I tryed the tap, tap, tap, method it did not do any good drive a minute crash repeat...If control would of just been like every other racing game ever made then it wouldnt of been a bad game it would of been beter than average if the AI was fixed it could of been in the Jaguar top 10 games

maybe the zero button is hit on all games that is possible cause I am using a nintndo R/F and sega R/F will work as well....but the games store audio saves so if you pause the game you can mess w/ it and every game could have the sound stored different depending on previous owners prefrence
