  1. i tried to align the head as it said but didn't have a wrench small enough to loosen and re-tighten the screw. I guess i'll try that if i can find a wrench small enough. Thanks for your help.
  2. I have two systems. Replaced the belt individually on each one. But both give me error 21 or 22 when i try to read a disk. Can anyone tell me if it is the disk or if i need to continue to tweak the motor speed or head alignment? Help! Thanks
  3. what do you mean by screwed up CD tray? that seems to be the problem i have with mine. It keeps acknowledging an open tray even after i close the tray. And if i put a disc in, it just pops back out again. The laser assembly looks solid, and the gears moving the tray are not stripped, but it doesn't raise the deck of the laser and its board while it closes.
  4. tried cleaning the laser and that didn't do it. tried playing around with the gears that move the laser and drive, and that didn't do it. anyone else have any ideas?
  5. Anyone here an expert on Mega CD systems? Should i take it apart and try to clean the laser, or is it not worth my time? thanks for any info
  6. Lucky Lucky Lucky. Maybe one day no probably not.
  7. I just put my near mint copy of BBB on ebay for anyone interested. I will definitely miss it if it sells! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:L:LCA:US:1123
  8. sorry to plug but ive been debating forever and it's up now. If anyone is interested: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=140195859152
  9. that thing looks like a nintendo collector's dream!!!!
  10. thanks so much for your input not really a hardcore game collector, more of a hardcore console collector. and i really want a famicom. i understand that you can't use one without the other (console without games), but i prefer the consoles. i won't really miss it and don't play it, but it is the most valuable in my collection. you can always get more money, but these games come once in a lifetime.
  11. Trying to generate some funds for a potential ebay purchase. Worth selling a near mint copy of the panesian rarity, or hang on and try to squeeze the funds elsewhere? Help me to decide!
  12. i'm looking for a japanese famicom to finish my video game collection. Obviously most of them ship from Japan for outrageous amounts of money. Any other places to look here in the USA? Any one had any luck with websites other than ebay for consoles?
  13. First of all, would it be worth it? Second of all, is it possible? The average BBB auction goes for about 400. This is a loose mint condition cart that has been tested and works. I've been debating for a while, but want to get the most for that gem of my collection.
