I concur, judging from the reviews and from people's opinions such as yours i decided even though i had limited money that it was definitley worth it. I remember playing thrust on the C64, i loved it, so im sure il love this iteration.

How do i play this game? i squash the enemys with the bricks but they keep coming back. how is this game supposed to be played?

Im sure many threads like this have been created, but i wanted to convey the sheer magical feeling of buying a NEW 2600 game. I was either very young or not-yet-born when the 2600 games were on the shelves, and so never was able to buy a new cart off the shelf, and so bought 2 AA homebrews just a few minutes ago, which have that kind of professional quality..WOW. its like a christmas day feeling although christmas is gone now. But alas, i am poor after christmas ( i should have orderd sooner damn it) So all i could afford was Thrust Platnium and the Toyshop Trouble Cart. Pretty good choices for the money i had i think. I wanted more though but like a 2600 collector/gamer i am i was only stopped by the lack of funds Still, its a magical feeling, and i will be eagerly awaiting them in the mail.

178 different PAL carts, 38 of those boxed and complete and i have 15 duplicates. been coolecting for about 5 months now id say.

only a few would be original if at all any from quelle..im not to sure about homevision, i think they did make a few originals but i could be wrong

Take the chance, 2600's are built like tanks! i have 4 of em 1 i bought the others given t me and they all work despite having layers of dust and dead bugs on them when i recieved them

my friend also likes fast paced games so im thinking kaboom! as well

he is into FPS games, (first person shooters) although its not so much the 3D as it is blasting baddies that is fun to him. has to be quick paced where you an fire alot. he isnt really a fan of the real time strategy games...too slow for him

I got a friend coming over for christmas eve. he has played 2600 before, missile command, defender but wasnt hooked, although he was the one who said to me " Let's play it (2600)". Anyway, im looking for some 2 player ror perhaps even a 1 player game thatll make him hit the reset button for more. and no, i dont have warlords. Im thinking super breakout. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as im trying to get him addicted.

In all honesty airlock is the only 2600 game i have encounterd so far that annoyed me to the point i wanted to ditch my joystick at the TV, that is unti l i got a grasp of it. What a piece of garbage. Has got to be the WORST of the data age releases in my opinion. At least encouter at L5 and bugs arnt so frustrating. I can probably think of a few more but at the moment my mind is occupied with how much a waste of space airlock is. What Games Frustrate/ Annoy you?

From what ive read about this game i got the impression it was going to be annoying POOR like Airlock, but i got the cart today and plugged it in..perhaps a bit slow but i like it. hell, i even enjoy it,. and i dont think some of the criticism it gets is justified. Yes, it has flaws,but as a 2600 platformer i love it. How does everyone else feel?

I have a SMS and Sega genesis amd commodore 64 all with stacks of games but i havent played any of the others at all since i got my 2600 back.. the level of dust on my master system.. ah well. Why do i play on the 2600 only? because i remember it was my first ever console nad the nfun memories i have of it and emotional attachment therein. The games remain continuously fun, including ones that have no ending, like kaboom for example, it tests your self how long you can last and the mmore you play the better you get, builds hand eye coordination etc.

i have found when i play on my woody(non-heavy) i odnt get as much RF static on screen as when i do my Jr. But the worst one ive encounterd is my vader. puts a lot of RF static out compared even to my Jr, along with Barbershop pole effects, while the woody on the same TV gives a crystal clear RF static free picture. YOu'd think the Jr. Would be RF static free and the Woody staticy as hell due to age, but then again they are built like tanks...any one care to explain?
