  1. I wasnt in existance but there are some old tags on the CIB's i have: 50$ for deamons to diamonds, $30 for robot tank, 24$ for raiders of the lost ark and 40$ for pole position
  2. I can do better.. thanks for the warning shadow
  3. got mine from a local store about a year ago,a juniour with all his games(60+, only 5 duplicates!) , controllers, paddles, game manuals for 75$ AU ($58 US). Bargain. He sold it that low as he said he coudnt sell any of it ( i didnt understand why but im not complaning )
  4. Hmm they are interesting as the games are all activision releases. perhaps they had a distributer in mexico back then who re-labeled em. I cannot say as to thier worth as the american versions and euro versions are common but from a label variation point of view they could be rare. if oyu dont see them often they are potentially rare, especially as they are from your home country
  5. Share your ratings of local and wroldwide postal companys youve had to deal with and thier rating, based on items gone missing and how its handled, delivery time, postage paid etc. and your personal experience Germany- Good delivery time, No problems Netherlands postal - Great, cheap service for 3 games to australia(3 euros) with great delivery time! Canada Post- 13 WORKING days to australia? Australia Post( No missing Items or international slows, but 3 working days on average within my own city, and up to the same time as international postage if its from another australian state?) UK - Delivery times OK but continual post office screw up with one INSURED package...first a week after sending, insufficant postage paid despite them charging over the counter, then my seller was rrefunded and he paid again, (same office)a week later he gets it back again " Undeliverable address" yet no signs of customs markings on it so it never left england, and the package was torn badly, one game missing entirley, other ones cover seriously damaged, and some how the other game in the package remained untouched. I get a partial refund and get to select two games from the guys store to replace em despite the post office REFUSING to cover insurance saying there is no way to prove they did the damage . BULLS**T. So he sends it again using a different post office and i get it ok 4 weeks after original transaction was completed.
  6. As some of you may be aware i have stated earlier im moving, during mid janurary or early feburary but i have just discoverd i have a multi standard tv in the house AND discoverd a bunch of games off US ebay at $1.00 buy it now tuns of em that i dont have and would be annoying and perhaps expensive to get the PAL version of( warplock, 20th century fox games etc) so i have realised i could significantly expand my collection for say 30$ US including postage to austrralia., and then just play em on the multi standard TV. So very, very tempting. So if anyone can give reasons NOT to buy thatd be sweet. Might be asking the wrong crowd. if you want to give reasons to do it thats fine also. i wont blame you.
  7. Nice job Deteacher. There isnt enough time left for me to try and beat you so i submit, and take my place as prince of reactor. I would have looked good in the crown...ah well
  8. i just got a nice CIB roc'n' rope PAL from uk ebay and when i tried to play it it was in black and white although when i hit reset the word stage changed to red colour and stayed that way until the game began and the game was just in black and wite. my JR is PAL as im in australia and never had any trouble with carts from other pal regions( germany for example). the roc'n' rope cart says PAL so why is it not in colour? the TV its bieng played on is a old smasung with manual tune controls no menues etc. Model number: CB-3351A. might try my woody and on different tv's im sure i have one here with format control Update: Found a tv in the house with format control it tuned in black and white so i change the format to ntsc, still black and white, and when i changed it to PAL and reset the 2600 i get some colour from the game! although its mostly blue and grey, with the word bonus bieng green and your guy with a pink vest. is that normal for roc'n rope? Is there a difference in UK pal format and australia's?
  9. Gas hog is NOT a very common PAL game, although it is commoner than the NTSC version. its a rarity 6 on the PAL scale, and i have only ever seen two in the wild, one of which i own. (by wild i mean in stores, and not ebay. i have only seen it once on AUS ebay so far since ive been collecting)
  10. 99,547...Damn it so close! Here's a pic of my reactor box, 2600 Jr, and my Controller of choice which reside below the TV Yes , that is a SMS II you see to the left

    Super CObra

Thanks everyone. It is pretty good despite the bad tjings ive heard(like ET but to a lesser extent)
  12. Ah thanks! i do have soldering experience. Made a power supply from scratch once and expected it to blow up the first time i tried it out by it didnt and actually worked! I might try making a multicart soon
  13. Yeah all 38 of my CIB's stand up vertically with no bags or anythng. im not concernd with dust.
  14. LMAO! Probably something like that
  15. Answer 1- No, usually just controlled by switches or by turning the power on and off to select games. Yes if they all were 2k and there were 64 then yes thats 128K, assuming all the sizes are the same. Answer 2- I dont know for sure but i assume they are just straight Games in ROM space at different addresses with some small code to switch control to one of the games, which would be hard to do if they wernt all the same size, if its just controlled by the power switch. Answer 3- Yes, definetly possible just has to be bankswitched to hell although the resulting game would be more expensive due to PCB, chip costs etc, the 2600 can handle up to 512k i think as long as its bankswitched
  16. i skim the rim of the vortex clockwise so im in it but i wont get destryed as long as i move in a clockwise fashion i did that when i ran out of decoys and eventually ti hit the partickles on the way around and it smashed em into the wall as the vortex was so big and as they cant enter the vortex they bounce off and kill themselves on the wall as for the kill walls the control rods are the marker and i just stay just out of range of the vortex and only move up to smack the particles or when it gets bigger(while i still have decoys that is)
  17. AH ok fair enough didnt know what you meant but i stiull find the etching on the hes carts odd
  18. 96,381 Yes, hanging out in the vortex helped when i ran out of decoys also, i did it without trak ball E-Z. in my opinion it dosn't need a trak ball.
  19. Well i guess its like 2600 carts, some games are better than others and some like carts others dont. all a matter of opinion
