  1. Unique PAL Games? Why i believe all the games for atari 2600 are unique to the SUPERIOR PAL format, their NTSC conterparts are just poor imitations. , and the ones that are unique to the: Not Those Sucky Cartridges format were all trash. Take froggo for example. Im just screwing around, but i do believe PAL has better original games, all the conversions from PAL to NTSC Thomas makes proves that, but you see hardly any ntsc to pal conversions done. In any Case, nice list Omega.

Does anyone know wat is happening with Rob's lost game? i did get an e-mail last year sometime about it still in the works. Does anyone know what is happening with it or have i somehow missed out again?
  5. EDIT: 122,690. i was in the zone. THis game isnt so hard.
  6. THanks guys, youve rekindled my passion. i went and bought these off ebay: Lot of 16 Games - Inc ghostbusters 2 CIB Got that mainly for road runner, xenophobe, ghostbusters 2and radar lock. I got this lot for the pirates and hes stuff: Jr. + games Dont you worry, ill be playing very aggressively starting with frostbite
  7. As the title suggests, since last november ,my passion for the 2600 vanished. I havent bought a game i didnt have nor did i participate in the 2600 sale in december. (Blasphemy, i know). I didnt even play or visit the forums in that time! Although i have started studying at Uni which consumes a large amount of my time, i still could have broken out the controller and played HERO. Even the thought of selling my beloved collection has crossed my mind! WTH is wrong with me. Although i have bought a 7800 recently..so i guess the kindling is going again..
  8. Growing up, i wanted a 7800. but i never got one. Now some 15 years later i finally got one off ebay. It came with everything plus choplifter and mean 18. I have a few questions: What are some of the more rarer itles for the 7800? Can i play NTSC games on my pal 7800 like people can do on the 2600?
  9. Nope never seen that exact cart before, but i have seen similar things
  10. I got a wico command recently and i have to say i cant see why people like it so much. I find it awkward and when i move the stick around it offers a fair amount of resistance (unlike the tac-2) The tiny white button on the top is flimsy, infact both of the buttons are flimsy. the tac-2 totally kills the wico. there is one good thing i will say about the wico: it does seem durable. But what good is durability when its a sub-par joystick. (i do realise there are plenty of worse joysticks out there)
  11. tac-2 without a doubt. and it wasnt just the best 2600 'stick, is was the best stick full-stop. took 20 years of heavy use for mine to finally die.
  12. I'm desperately seeking a external floppy drive(with associated cables) & an RF modulator/cable and perhaps some info on how to upgrade RAM for my atari 520 ST. PM me if you can help!
  13. It is already well under the limit at 788 KB when you are supposed to be allowed 2 MB?? I just tried again no luck. Try saving it as a JPEG...
  14. Ouch. It must be just you because i sold hundreds of sega master system games/ mega drive games in november and everyone followed through for me, with several people spending $100's at a time. Although i did have a bad trade occur where i didnt get all what i paid for and the person, revsdir, has ignored all complaints.
  15. Scuze me Zero, you made a mistake on the dates. You say entries close on wed the 1st, but the 1st is tuesday....
  16. a busted channel selection switch cannot cause the problems you are describing, such as enduro randomly reseting and star masters font problem. A busted rf connector coud'nt do it either. If either was busted all you'd get was a bad or no picture, but not games acting weirdly. The problems you have described point to a busted TIA. Thats how you tell if its a busted chip with the 2600. The TIA chip controls all the video output from your 2600. If it gets fried, it causes problems like you have described. The TIA chip lives under that metal rf shield around the vaders cartridge port. Its the chip furthest from the cart port on the vader and the chip is labeled C010444. It should be socketed. Replace the chip and it should be fine. However TIA chips arn't all that common. Do you have a "Donor" 2600? If not, you might want to ask cpu-wiz. I dont claim to be an expert in 2600 hardware, but i have had similar problems before with A 2600 Jr, and once i replaced the TIA my problems went away.
  17. Perhaps your RF socket in the vader needs to be resolderd. If you have tried re soldering the channel select switch and used two different cables then it is either your RF socket needs to be resoldered/replaced . I thought you might have thought of that. Obviously not. it might also be your TIA chip, which is usually hardwired to the board, but it can be socketed.
