I dont think modding it will fix the problem, as the AV cable you wire to it is still connected from the tia chip to the TV, bypassing the RF. I could be wrong though.

Just picked up this game, it definetly a pirate, but its not in AA lists or PAL rartiy lists (http://www.retroreview.com/paldatabase/Index.php) Its a V-case, with the standard skull and ship pirate logo. Im preety sure others have this cart, and was wondering why dosnt it show up in lists, and what is it a pirate of?

Just PM'd albert to get put on the waiting list. Hope you got the PM. Im curious, are the Krok carts region free, and its just the ROM region that defines it? If not, im gonna need a PAL Krock cause im Australian. i guess ill be paying a bundle in airmail too...oh well, i got months to get it together, right? Just learnt of the Kroks existance today, im so glad you havent stopped production. Also, when used as a multicart, do all the games have to be the same bankswitching?

I have become interested in learning to program fot the atari 2600, though after reading the vcs workshop im a little stunned, my head is swirling with thoughts, and a s a result im unable to think straight. and no im not tripping, i dont take drugs. I have many new game ideas, but i am wondering if i have had enough experience yet in programming to try my hand at TASM for 2600 or maybe even bB. I have 4 years basic programming experience on commodore 64, and dabbled a little in its ASM by using a MONITOR! thats right, no macros! all i did was get it to display my name and use basic loops and memory storage to do it, nothing more. Also i have had some experience with C, alougth not a lot. attached is a text file containg source, which is a very basic, and limited game. take a look at it if you care. I know programming for the 2600 isnt easy. Also, is there a bB tutorial somewhere? I guess what im asking is, can somone with my level of experience program a 2600 game? trek_war.txt

If i used commando raid with a ntsc console on a pal set, that had ntsc play back written all over it, the same thing would happen?
-
i dont think thats quite it, as i have had a PAL gamecube running at 60hz on this tv in colur just fine.. odd
-
nope, the one i have is definetly NTSC, the PAL one by Carrere Video is almost as rare as gameworld games as it shows up as black and white only, as you will read in my NTSC Woes a explination

both PB and Supercharger variants are good. but noth are identical in gameplay, so i grab whats easiest to load PB version. LOL

I just got a us game commando raid, and am trying to play it on my PAL system, it works, but in black and white only, it refuses to play in colour despite my 2600 is switched to colour. It is not the unit, because asteroids works fine on it. I have tried cleaning the contacts but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas as to whats causing this? Ithought NTSC games play on PAL machines with colour variations.

I was flipping through some screenshots the other day when i saw a picture of cosmic swarm, and it brang back childhood memories of it. I definitely remember playing this game, but i am positive that the cart i had did not look like the one associated with it. Are there any know pirates/ hacks of this game?

Im a australian citizen, and recently bought some stuff using the search function of a game selling chain ( You would be surprised some of the rare stuff that hides in there) Bought a silver label Airlock (game world) for $5 au. Rarity 7 too. http://www.retroreview.com/paldatabase/Sea...amp;SortBy=name any way my question is i also picked up a black label commando raid (us games). This Version of the game was NTSC only, and i know it is common in the states, but i picked it up in PAL australia. Is it hard to find NTSC games here in general?

All my other games work fine on the same machine though

Wouldnt it be cool if todays 2600 programmers got together and finished off protos like Snow White? Then we would have a working game! There is probably a down side im not seeing here...
-
If you got the offer to go back in time, one time only, and could take as much money as you want with you, Which country and time would you go back to to collect rare 2600 games? You would only have 2 days before bieng returned to your own time!

How many different PAL Labels are there for River Raid II? The PAL Cart database has only black text and white text. The one i had was a full picture label with river raid II written in red and yellow writing at the top of the pic>

Yes, i have solaris and its fun and have been playing to for ages and have never had a problem at all, wether or not the bug exists i dont know. Is it the Red label version? The game, from what i have seen and played (without a in struction booklet, mind) You have like a home base which you can use to refuel. Generally you have to clear the sctors of enemy ships and planets. Its great fun. I have wasted many a hour on it and it has a lot of "depth" to it.

Nope thats not it..it still does it!!! Any ideas?
-
aye..tis a nightmare on elm street what they did to us collectors

I was just playing Centipede and i notice a wierd glitch: Many infact. 1. the score counter was backwards, i.e the numbers were like i was looking at a reflection in a mirror 2. All the sprites were Reversed too.. 3. Centipede was travelling the wrong way and some body segments were reversed in places.. Has this happend to anyone else? If not then it appears i have a rare programming error! The Cart is a silver label atari Centipede
