  1. No effect. Both sets of paddles work fine on a different jr. How do i fix it?
  2. I was cleaning out my Paddles As described. It seemed to do ok until it came itme to test the paddles again. I plugged kaboom in and noticed several things wrong at once. The sounds were all distorted / and or different. Secondly, when i moved the paddle to the right, i got severe graphical glitches in kaboom. the buckets wrapped around the screen to the other side. Here is a picture of graphical anomaly: Sorry for the poor quality photo but as you can see the buckets are half off screen, the mad bombers bomb is in the upper left hand corner and the mad bomber himself and the score counter are now in upper right corner. I have tried different paddle games like medieval Mayhem and ALL OF THE GAMES exhibit sound distortions / mutations AND GRAPHICAL GLITCHES. In the case of medieval mayhem, if the paddles werent plugged in when the 2600 was turned on, the music would play as normal, but when paddles were plugged in it would go all freaky again. HOWEVER NON-PADDLE GAMES SEEM TO WORK AS THEY SHOULD. IT IS NOT MY KABOOM CART OR PADDLES as i have tried them on a different Jr. Console and it all works as it should. However i would like to continue using this damaged 2600 console because it has crystal clear RF reception. Any ideas whats wrong with it? I am willing to get it sent off somewhere to be fixed...
  3. Your Right. Back to the original Question. I have no idea why it it wasnt included. Programmer Error?
  4. ..Al Looks like i dropped the ball on that one hehe. Other than that the new sounds are great. Yes it is a bit faster. Yes, Player bee in PAL version has smooth movement. With the AI bee the bee moves jerky, but that could be the faulty AI.
  5. It works nicely. the sounds are nice, but now the AI is worse. It just sits at the bottom of the screen all of the time, and when it gets served to it just moves to catch the ball, sometimes it misses completely. when it does catch the ball it just sits there and dosnt move. It just drops the ball.
  6. Makewav will only convert BIN. You dont need the ASM really..Its the same information, just stored differently and is unusable without a few tools. That is makewav in action
  7. Juptier is Orbiting Uranus. But Uranuses rings are preventing you from reaching jupiter. See kids, Piercings aren't cool!
  8. Yes it is. I will tesl the latest version of PAL beeball now.
  9. It would be expensive. You have to buy the pcb's, EEPROM's in the size of the game you wanted to make into a cartridge and then by an eeprom burner, which would cost you a bit. There are two other options. If you have a starpath supercharger and a mp3 player you can use the starpath super charger to load games 4k in size or less into your atari. http://members.cox.net/rcolbert/makewav.htm. I have used that method and it works. you copy the wav file made by that program onto mp3 player and then connect your supercharger and play the wav file on your mp3 player. Another option is this : Krokodile Cart This allows you to play just about any game ROM on your actual VCS, Im not sure if Albert is still taking orders so you'd have to PM him.
  10. THose are good ideas too spice. As for powerups fitting the theme, perhaps a human wanderd into the forest and found two oversized bees playing tennis with a rock. Human whips out his bug spray and makes thee bees angry. LOL the jazz midi music sounds nice.
  11. Last night me and a long lost mate got together for a beer drinking contest after 8 years of no contact and we got halfway through a carton when i introduced him to Stella. He was eager to give it a go and said he thought it was great that i got enjoyment out of old games. i said something like : "If the game was good back in the 1980's, Why shoudn't it still be good today? Has the actual game changed in 20 years since? NO". Anyway, the first game i pulled out to play was medieval Mayhem by SpiceWare. I coudn't find my good paddles and i had one too many to care. So i got the jittery paddle. We had had enough so we really coudn't focus, and had to play on the kids level we played on doubles, and i did well despite having a seriously messed up paddle. Anyways, THANK YOU SPICEWARE for providing fantastic entertainment for aforementioned contest. can someone point me to a thread for paddle / driving controller repair? i got heaps of paddles i could fix up with a little know how.
  12. I have Tested 5.5 PAL version on 2600 PAL Jnr. it works! i like the colours. I have noticed some glitches(?) in the PAL version: - Sometimes the computer bee does NOT catch the ball when it is its turn to serve. - Sometimes the computer bee does NOT serve the ball correctly (it bounces it like normal, but misses when it goes to swing to hit it) - Sometimes the computer bee doesn't move to go after the ball when i hit the ball back to it, from roughly the top left side of net. i think the AI is challenging when it does not suffer from the above problems. i think it needs work in regards to serving / retuning the ball, at least in the PAL version anyways. BeeBall is fun but i feel it could use something "more". Perhaps powerups appear onscreen and they are activated by a flying ball when they pass through them. The powerup would go to the bee that had hit the ball. Another usage of powerups could be a powerup is collected by hitting a ball into it but cant be used straight away, depending on the powerup. For example. A insect Spray canister icon appears randomly on screen (roughly 1/2 size of the ball). I hit the ball through it towards my opponents side. The insect spray can makes my bee angry, thus increasing my speed for a few seconds. If the AI bee hit the can, it would speed up. Not all powerups would be good. There could be one that slows you down slightly or makes gravity work on the BEE, and not just the ball. I have a few more ideas so let me know if you want to hear em, LS-Dracon
  13. My new top score: 54,250 im in the zone today.
  14. Wowzers. THis looks awesome even as it is! Im gonna keep an eye on this baby!
  15. I am also in a PAL region, Australia, so i will test this too, via supercharger, on the many 2600 models. 6'er, vader and jr.
  16. 24,400. So me and GodzillaJoe picked the exact same game and settings eh?
  17. Its great! Innovative controls too, and overall a great game that was programmed in the early 80's.
  18. Its looking really nice, although alot of the time i cant return the computers serve or when i do make contact the ball just goes diagonally downwards.
  19. $35,450. my last entry. Thanks Ze_Ro For all your effort !
  20. Even in Australia they are dirt cheap, although they aren't called genesis here.
  21. There is nothing wrong with that handshake. Anyone who laughs is a commie
