    I am collecting and playin´ Atari 2600 games because it brings back my happy childhood. Good old memories of past days!!!

     

    Amen! Even though when the 2600 was first released in 1977 i was still 11 years away from being born, i ended up growing up on the atari 2600 in the 90's because my family was so god damn poor. But its all relative...i grew up on the atari like most of us here, and nearly 2 decades later nostalgia compelled me to buy a 2600 again.

     

    One of the games i clearly remember playing on my first Jr. Was Jungle Hunt and Defender.. The Defender noises scared me when i was 8!

    ...Are Surprisingly Entertaining Games. Much More entertaining than the likes of FROGGO games, Although Alligator People is a bit monotonous, Kabobber is Quite Entertaining to me, Fast Paced Game of Kill or Be killed. It lacks that certain something but i don't understand why activision canned it.

     

    How Does everybody else find these two repro / Unreleased games?

    Just read This Thread from Beginning to End. At first i was skeptical, as Images can be faked but now that contact has been made with the programmer by at least 2(?) different people i have become a believer.

     

    If you decide to sell it think about WHO your going to be selling it to.

    There are undumped proto's out there in the hands of people who refuse to dump them etc. So if this indeed is one of a kind and it gets sold to someone who simply "disappears" without a trace, e.g you sell it on Ebay and make a grand or two, then the buyer de-registers from ebay due to harrasment from members of our community, the game disappears forever. And that would be A FELONY IN MY EYES.

     

    Don't say things like this haven't happened before.

     

    Dump the cart for backup puposes with out opening it before you sell. if you dont want to risk sending the cart to anyone ( i totally understand) perhaps there are people in your area with equipment and they could come buy and dump it without opening it. And for all the skeptics Perhaps you can ask the programmer that there are concerns regarding authenticity and if he would consent to his code being dumped for analysis and then that dump be destroyed afterwards.

    Man this game is tough! The game does some cheap deaths too, such as robots spawning right next to you in a new maze

     

    TIP: Exercise the better part of valor and escape into the next maze. you dont need to kill every robot in a maze. Yes the next maze will be harder but if the last robots are going to be a pain to kill id rather escape then most probably loose a life, either by fast robot fire or Otto. .

    If I had only known then what I do now, I certainly would have kept it! I kick my self in the ass mentally every time I think about it! But now I have an Atari Flashback and I hope to get a 7800 so I can play both 2600 and 7800 games.

     

    Amen, A similar thing happened to me. and im sure it has happened to alot of 2600'ers on AA
