With memory track plugged in, i believe you hold down option or pause when powering on the Jag, and it will bring up it's own menu system. There was also a custom one, that looks better & may have more features at mdgames dot de, but i never figured out how it implement it. Also, he has a utility to see what's in the regular game save eerproms on the game carts. -but haven't ran it before. yes, memory tracks are expensive but you should only ever need one.

It would be nice to have all the original cartridges, boxed with manuals, for the Nintendo 64!
But its gonna get expensive at some point. I would like to get some of the better games on N64 on original cartridges CIB. I just recently got into the Nintendo 64, and was appalled by how bad it looks with composite video out to a modern hd lcd tv. The N64 did not have RGB out, S-video was the best you could get. So I bought a pre-modded RGB N64 and an XRGB-Mini device and now it looks awesome! on hd tvs. -
Yes!
, T2K is quite fun even with a regular Jaguar controller, so go for it! - I've played it a lot of hours that way. The thing is the rotary controller makes it that much nicer and gives it a bit better control of your ship, I think, this really only becomes a pronounced factor in the later levels, like the quite hard level 64, that Jeff made extra hard I heard. You can usually get one on ebay for about $60 USD. But just get the game first, play awhile with the D-pad, and decide later if you like it enough to put more money into the game with a Jaguar rotary purchase.I recently got a VM Labs NUON DVD player just for Tempest 3000(and Iron Soldier 3) also it's VLM too, luckily I have an analogue stick controller that came with it and T3K is better with it than the stock digital NUON original d-pad.

Would have loved to see Virtua Fighter, because I like the game and the genre. But instead we got a crippled Fight for Life. lol Would have liked to have 007 Goldeneye & 007 The World Is Not Enough, from Nintendo 64 fame. Also, wanted Super Sprint, but now we have that thanks to Cyrano Jones!
And a lot more fun games, with less of a steep learning curve, that had the playability of Sega and Nintendo games. -
I've seen a few movies with Timothy Bottoms in it, an old one - The Last Picture Show(1971) & DC 9/11 Time of Crisis(2003) & Invaders from Mars(1986) - he's an ok actor, not bad.
Here's his films, I recognize a few:
I also recognize Daniel Roebuck, he was in The Fugitive, I've seen him around a lot - he's the military guy Bottoms was talking to in the strip bar in the beginning scene of American Hero.

Here's his films, he's been in a lot of more popular ones:

Now that there are a bunch of titles, I'll try to slowly start adding sound to them.
Sounds good!

Thanks doctorclu, yeah I had a request to re-up this disc set, and I got inspired by all the great work CyranoJ is doing with the ST computer to Jaguar games conversions so I decided to be productive and do something for all the newer Jag fans. It would have been nice to have the Jaguarsector site available as a readable archive or at least the downloads section available as there was a lot of great game artwork, and stuff in there that is now lost to the ages.

Hello again!, The now permanently shut down Jaguarsector site had a DVD release of the Atari HQ 1993 Jaguar Press Conference hour long video, it was a Jaguarsector exclusive, now in case a few people are actually interested in watching it and don't own the DVD, I present it in Cinepak form for your Jaguar CD Player!!
It was originally shot on video tape and the sound is less than ideal, not by my fault in the conversion but by the videographer of the event and/or his equipment, so you'll have to listen hard. I used a 3-6 decibel boost in the conversion to help. All the Atari big wigs are there; Sammy, Richard & John I think too, prolly not Jack tho. Its a two disc set, burn at the slowest speed, and oh, it's unencrypted so you'll need something for that, like the Reboot ULS CD or B&C Bypass cart. Both discs have 13 video tracks.Disc 1: https://mega.co.nz/#!qYwUEKaL!x1zZEojLHduPxkKU2Dr73ZD94sGAaQooAmIeLGcf8Jw

Hello, The former Jaguarsector site had a DVD release of all the short Cinepak clips, development files used in the making of the American Hero Jaguar Gamefilm CD game, it was a JS2 exclusive. Now, here is the Atariage re-release of that three disc set. They are in .cdi Discjuggler images, burn to CD(slowest speed) and enjoy! They are all un-encrypted however so you will need a B&C bypass cart, or the Reboot Universal Loading System CD, or a dev bootrom CD Player(lol), or other to run the discs in your Jag. Some of the clips were very short, I had to splice several together with J-Split to even get them to run on the Jag, I have tried as best as possible to arrange all the clips in the most logical progression of the Timothy Bottoms film, that I never could find.

Hell Yeah!!!, this was a great favorite back in the day, a group of friends and I used to ride around in a friends Chevy Cheyenne Blazer, trying to score pot, we would usually score, go smoke Graffix bongs and then go to the arcade and play this!!! all of us would take turns, playing the winners.
Super Sprint yeah! Awesome thanks CJ!!!!!!!!
and teamtap support ftw!!! You know you've been so inspiring here recently, it's like a dream to have daily Jaguar releases!, this is just great! Cool! You got mad skillz bro! So I've decided to get off my ass and start releasing something for people too, all I can do is lowly cinepaks, lol, so i've started uploading anyways. If I get 1 download on my mega account that's good - I did something cool for somebody. I am currently opening threads for my previous Jaguarsector exclusive releases that I want to make available for people again, going to do two tonite and one other soon and more hopefully. The two tonite are: the American Hero Cinepak Film Compilation(3 discs) -all the short clips used in making the AH Gamefilm CD game arranged as best I could in order - compiled from the JS2 Atari Headquarters AH DVD release(at the request of AA member: ChrisWR) and also the JS2 Atari HQ Jaguar 1993 Press Conference DVD release, in Cinepak format. Tomorrow I'll do the 1995 Electronic Entertainment Expo Cinepak. It's time to: "LAY LOW THE RAMPARTS" - Hellraiser quote. haha!
and let the flood of jag stuff ensue.

Hey I was interested in purchasing an RGB N64 from you. Are they still available?
Hello Yurkie!, I also am interested in buying a RGB modded N64 console - are there any still available from you?
And if not, I would like to send you a N64 console + a RGB mod kit for you to install -however I don't have any N64s that have serial numbers starting with NS1 or the needed chip, so would you be willing to mod a later N64 unit with one of those, "N64 For All" kits from Otakus?, since Tim Worthington's All N64s RGB mod boards are all sold out.

Cool
Thanks and it's interesting to be able to run these programs in various stages of conversion- much appreciated.

It's been a great day for the Jag!
Mercenary looks challenging, will have to lookup the manual. -
Wow! Dude your full of nice surprises and awesome!
Very cool! I love buggies - even sandbuggies like this game has.(They have VW engines) I'll give it a try here in just a little bit. It looks fun tho, I like driving games. Your single handedly rebooting this community, extremely nice of you to share so much.I can think of one thankfully now gone individual whose name is a four letter word and is named after a shooter coin op game and he used to boast, "There's Jag stuff on my hard drive, that runs in main has Jag powa, that you guys would drool over but will never ever see so, na na naaa na!" lol. Your like the polar opposite of him.

Your picking some really cool games to convert, I have a reverence for the Amazon rainforest, I support the National Arbor Day Foundation to try and save South and Central American rainforests, and finished the Pitfall Harry game on the Jag, so Rick Dangerous is cool subject matter for me to play a game about too. And love the driving genre also.

That's good as long as its the above amperage/voltage and has a center negative pin, it should work.

Also, your not getting enough power to it with that brick - it needs 9 volts DC @ 1200mA/1.2A-

Was sorry to hear that happened over some political cartoons, a terrible day for the US's longest running ally - France. Vive France!
-
Thanks Clint!, will give it a go! I appreciate you making me aware of this on Jagcorner & the demo on Pouet.net
Hello Omf!

-
Oh man CJ, what a sweet surprise this could be as its a really cool and fun game to try to get running on the Jag. A Very nice choice man!!! I think everybody likes Guantlet II, I used to play the coin-op in the eighties a lot at a local bowling alley. If you can get this running, it would be amazing, and bring back a lot of fond memories, and for some reason, that I can't quite define - playing it on the Jag would just be reaaally cool. You don't have to share anything with us, but I'm sure glad when you do. Thanks for showing us your work here.

Yeah, I got some relatives staying at the house right now and I compute late at night too and yes the original Model M & F both do sound like jackhammers, especially late at night in a quiet house! Lol! Sometimes I do use my Logitech K800 as its much much quieter.I have a confession to make:I went back and ordered a couple of the "Quiet Touch" Unicomps, and they have the *exact* same IBM-quality feel, and are so-much-less noisy. I think it's the best thing I've ever bought. While I love the "click," I compute late at night and it was like jackhammers going off. Same would be at the office, too.(Shhhhhh!!!! But the Unicomp "Quiet Touch" is great, too!")

Ah, a Model K?
Came across some files the other day, the IBM Personal Computer AT keyboard was made in 1984-1985 and is known as a "Model F."

What size TV do you play your Atari & retro games on?
in Atari 2600

I use a 46inch Sony lcd hd tv for all my retro consoles, but most require special equipment to look good on modern displays but it is entirely possible to get crisp pictures on them using rgb or vga inputs, and my unmodified 2600 & 7800 look good on it too.
