  1. Yeah, I got some relatives staying at the house right now and I compute late at night too and yes the original Model M & F both do sound like jackhammers, especially late at night in a quiet house! Lol! Sometimes I do use my Logitech K800 as its much much quieter.
  2. Came across some files the other day, the IBM Personal Computer AT keyboard was made in 1984-1985 and is known as a "Model F."
  3. Yeah had the same problem with installing on Windows 7 - I dragged the skunk .dll file to the system32 folder and the syswow folder and made sure I'm using the command prompt correctly pointing from JCP to the jag file i wanted to load to the skunk, and walla! it worked! I also use the Skunk GUI as well sometimes.
  4. Well, I don't see any reference to it being called a Model K, on the below site but maybe it was - not sure. The IBM PC AT keyboard does perform great tho. http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9934/subcatid/0/id/582346
  5. Awesome! Yes, that looks like a fun game, would love to have it on the Jag.☺
  6. Had a few requests for my American Hero Cinepak 3 disc set -got to get making .cdi images and upload to Mega -will post it soon.

  7. Well, its good to see my thread on the Vintage Model M Keyboard is still active, I think people realize how important and nice it is to have a great keyboard to use with their computer. I think it's great that Unicomp is still making reproduction Model M keyboards, and have added modern features, and are basically the same as the original vintage models, perhaps a bit lighter I have heard. I have ordered some dark blue key covers to make my model M look like the Dark Grey Vintage Industrial Model M Spacesaver keyboard in my first pic on page 1 - that keyboard did go for $800 usd or so which was totally out of my range. Hence my Unicomp order of select blue keytops lol. So I've built a little collection of Model Ms, I have 1986ers(with and without lights), a 1987, & 1990 models and of course the pièce de résistance of my collection a 1984 IBM Personal Computer AT Keyboard which has slightly thicker contact springs requiring a touch more pressure to activate and is a bit louder as well - I just love it! No I am not an english major, writer, but I did well (A's) in english 101/102 in college and took a typing class in high school. Every chance i get to use my IBM PC AT keyboard or the model Ms is somehow surprisingly a joy, I change out a keyboard every few months and use all of IBM keyboards I have. My errors seem to be reduced, speed is increased, writing/typing satisfaction is high. I have a nice Logitech illuminated wireless keyboard that I keep close and turn on if I need a modern feature, also tried the Cherry MX Green and Blue switches(black key keyboards) and their nice but I just prefer old original IBMs. Currently using my IBM Personal Computer AT keyboard, I think its my favorite. 8. Great Jaguar Collection! I like how you are getting a few extra base units, that's what I did too, its good to have some K models(IBM made) & M models(JVC made) just in case you need them. You'll prolly save money picking things up locally as well. Jaguar is fun to collect for but expensive. You should get a Skunkboard too, while their available(thread on first page of Jaguar atariage forums) That's great you got a CD Player & transport case too. If you ever order any Jag stuff from myatari-dot-com, they will give you a 3d hologram Jaguar sticker, that was used on the base unit boxes to seal them, you can put that round sticker on the raised round platform above the Jaguar logo on your Jaguar rental case. Enjoy! the madness that is Jaguar! lol, also check out Reboots' Jaguar site and happy collecting and playing Jag games. Hope to see you around the forums.
  9. If you've confirmed your on the 2nd run pre-order list then what im doing is just watching my email inbox closely for a; pay now email, from Seb or Odie and also subscribing to this thread and checking new posts.
  10. I love having lots of video game reviews to choose from, i don't mind it at all, yeah there are stupid ones out there, naive ones, bad speakers, volume too low, too much background noise, reading the back of the box - slowly , getting the facts wrong, jaguar bashing, etc. but i don't hold it against them if i don't agree with their take or assessment of the game and or system. Much of the time I am learning something interesting about the game from them. They are valuable for purchases I might be planning to make. I also like game walkthroughs.
  11. Went ahead and ordered two more Sillyskunks! lol, another one for me and one for my good friend's teenage son's new Jaguar setup!(I got it for him, charged his father lol) He loves vintage video games, game programming and is going to school for website design. I'm responsible for him liking the Atari Jaguar , we play Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story whenever I go over there! He also likes Beebris and Downfall and Superfly DX.
  12. That's Great man! I wish I could code something on the Jag. I am an absolute noob to it (writing code for anything) tho, I've only once set up a Jag dev environment, per Belboz's instructions, compiled a source code, and printed onscreen "Hello World." And I had to re-install XP home on that PC & then forgot how to do all that-especially the compile command. Also, I once made a game on the Atari 2600 Basic Programming cartridge! lol But there's only like nine commands in that cart to play with, haha. Well i best get reading the Raptor manual then, but i got a feeling I need to have some coding background experience tho. All I really have is some familiarity with DOS command line usage.
  13. This is interesting to me, I didn't know you could basically just take 64-bit jaguar code and cut it down to 8-bit, by dividing? and then expect it to run on an 8-bit atari! I thought for sure it would have to be programmed from scratch(but with the advantage of having the cybermorph source code) to make it run on the 2600. Great job.
  14. lol, haha! thanks - well i'll have to give it a try on the harmony cart.
  15. This is aweome CJ! it takes my childhood memories of the Atari VCS and the Basic Programming cart & keyboard controllers that slide together to a far off distant much higher level!! lol This is going to open up the Jag floodgates for new games - really cool stuff here! Well im going to go get the package and start reading that manual! Cheers bro! ☺☺😆😀😃👍👌👏
  16. Ahh, keeping people on their toes Carl. Lol
  17. What's going on has the second run been released????? I know and verified a few times that I AM on the waiting list. I have not received an email to pay. Someone let me know if i need to contact the removers asap to salvage my attempt to get one.
  18. BIWN rev. 19 may be available too, from kelp.
  19. Ahh, there's the info we need - thank you Zerosquare and Clint!
  20. Don't forget to clean the actual jaguar cartridge port, as i described above perhaps, as well Martianman. But take care not to be bend those cart port pins the wrong way by possibility catching them with something from the exposed tops that you can see.
