Oh, OK Human, Thanks CPUWIZ, makes sense and I should have guessed since "men" is in the word. Yes, GB13 certainly is a stand-up guy, honest, and actively is doing a lot for the Jaguar community, especially over at JSII!! -
-
This makes me feel like the Jaguar is not a dead system! and makes up for what Atari didn't do during the Jaguar's commercial lifespan - delivering the goods/games. Because we still have Jaguar support! That's more than the 3DO or Phillips CDi can say, although there's hundreds of games available for the 3DO because of all the 3rd party game developers it had. But the Jaguar is now living the equivilent of "console heaven" with own community of enthusists and developers.

Actually when I first read Gorf's post I was wondering what "Mensch" means, I did not recognize it as English. What does it mean in Duetschland?
-
"Arse" is British, of course, and we spell it and say it without the "r" thus USAer's say "ass" in the US which is your AA usernames' second syllable not the first. Spelling really has nothing to do with how a words' consonates & vowels form syllables, that's why a dictionary many times gives you the wrong spelling when showing you how to pronounce a word - usually shown in parenthesis. We are just talking about how it sounds not how it's spelled. Tomasholzer breaks down into four syllables: Tom - as - hol - zer Of course consonates and vowels form the syllables. My 2nd grade teacher used to tell me to - sound it out. Tom - first syllable as - second syllable hol - third syllable zer - fourth syllable If we take the second & third syllables and put them together, we have: "as" & "hol" or as it would be sounded out "ashole" or "asshole." So, yes although it was a clever punn of syllables Gorf picked out of your AA name he was quite right in how it sounds when you remove the first and last syllables.

Gorf: Are they going to ship the Jaguar and CD Drive hardware back to you when they have finished checking it out, just wondering.
-
Glad you fixed it! The JagCD is the coolest hardware item for the Jaguar yet, (probably until the CF comes out) and there is a lot more games available for you to enjoy now. You can goto u-235, linko's site and TXG/MNX has made a cinepak video of high quality about Ice Age the movie & DOOM3! It's a cool vid ready to DL and burn to CD, check it out. Scrat video

That really looks great Gorf!, much better than the original 2600 Warlords! Love that goroud? shading on there. Is there anything your not working on? It's really great to have someone as ambitious as yourself in the Jag community ,wow, your working on so many things at once, I really hope we get to run some of your work on our Jags in one form or another, and that none of your Jag projects become discontinued and forgotten, considering all the time you've put into them. Cheers "Combat 2010" - just a thought.

walter_J64bit: ovalbugmann: BuddyBuddies: Shawn Sr.: Yeeeih, Das wut ahmm sayyin', Yo Come ooonnn CLEEAAAR! No tints! You Guys know what's up. huh
-
OK, cool! I'd prefer plain clear over any tints such as smoke. See what you can do. If your using the Original molds then the light surface texture present will provide some diffusion, so there's no reason to add smoke tint, unless people want one of those clear/w smoke tint Nintendo64 style cases. I think plain Clear would be best (because I don't want a light GREY console) & make the case look almost invisible and the whole thing will glow red with the LED light on, or change colors if you have a multicolor LED in there, or perhaps a blacklight one would look cool with a transparent case. A super bright red diode would be cool too that would really make the case glow, and is the Jaguar color.
-
Ok, everyone if you want a CLEAR Jaguar case now is the time to let him know, It will look great! And 4tez if you look at the responses to this thread you'll see clearly, that Clear already has several votes!! Here's what it could look like:

I'm glad you were able to get your Credit Card reinbursed with the funds. I made the mistake of going to ebay.co.uk and bidding on some reletively "cheap" sealed Jaguar games with little competition and I thought they would give me a discount on shipping because it said so on the items' pages, so I bid on seven games thinking I would have to pay a flat $25.00 usd shipping charge since I won seven games from them, come to find out they charged me $10.00 shipping USD for EACH GAME (4.99 GBP) I got a 1.00 GBP discount on a few but my total shipping charges came to 32.99 GBP that's $66.00 USD!!!!!!! A rip man! I got burned on shipping from D-FU-4 Games So I will not be ordering any more games from them in the future, I'll get my shit elsewere.

Ok, so you have the original moulds, for the Jaguar unit, then there should be no changes necessary to accomodate the Jaguar pcb motherboard securely, when using the original mould. So, rather than the moulds for your cameras with the front and back altered (as pictured) how many units must be requested by us, to put the original mould to use for another run of white cases? I personally would like a CLEAR original style case, for the Jaguar base unit, CD unit, or cartridges.
-
I like to get a clear case. Don't care for white cases, but how about a small run of CLEAR CASES!!! Can you do CLEAR in either the Jag case or Jag cd player or maybe cartridge cases??
-
Thanks for the clarification on, "mobo", punisher. Good to know.
-
Thanks for the link Broonale I want to try this out, see how it compares to Plasma pong on D2K, I know there's no comparing a high powered PC game to the Jag but would like to see the differences.
-
What's a "mobo"? a certain chip on the board? or just undetermined?
-
Looking for some footage of Blue Lightning...
ovalbugmann replied to ataridave's topic in Atari Jaguar
Hmmm, Can't remember if or where I've seen Blue Lightning video footage, I think I've seen clips somewhere around, maybe in those Jag commercials. I will try to find some vid of it. -
Oh, I didn't know there was a regular PC version of the game, I'm interested in it and will do a Gooooooooogle seach to see if I can find it for the PC thanks, Broonale.

I voted: "This game is revolutionary, I really like it." I also like to see what the Jaguar hardware can do, since I enjoy learning about computer hardware components, so although the game itself is tough to figure out in spots, I really like the almost photo-realistic scenes the game has, it puts you in a unique atmosphere. which is quite enjoyable.
-
Hmm, Interesting looks like it's very similar to Plasma Pong on the D2K Jaguar cartridge, with some added cool sounding elements like, "injection of plasma affecting the ball", and the background looks much less pixitated. Greg, if you have Apple computer, you should check it out and see if it's any fun! Only 8MB - Let us know.

Everybody that wants to play EerieVale will have to puchase a CF compact flash unit from JagWare when they announce availability. You will not need an Alpine board. You will be able to buy only one version for the Jaguar and it will be on CF. There will be a PC and possibly a Dreamcast version. You can buy the game again for those formats if you wish to see the differences. No, no, no - the actual CF cartridge unplugs from the CF unit in the Jaguars cartridge slot. There's going to be probably two versions of the CF a developers and standard one with a "catnip cable" (like BJL but better) to use with it. We will see what happens though with all this when it actually occurs. : You should at least check out a picture of the CF prototype if your interested, it should be on Jagware.
-
Walter: Tursi said you already asked him and you were going to forward his approval to Matt, but since I don't have BJL I got a little excited and contacted Tursi & Matthias hopefully saving you time in doing so. Thanks for posting a Jagcode500 results thread here on AA where skilled people like Matt could see it.
-
Matthias; I have contacted Tursi on JSII and asked for his approval in using his game on a Jagcode500 Jag bootable CD image for download (I assume this is what you intended) and he has responded positively regarding you using his game in making an encrypted CD for people. So, he has given me full approval and instructed me to post an approval here so you will know there is no problem, and of course Orion_ already said it's OK to use his game. Thanks, Matthias for offering your skills in makng a CD for the Jag community. Let us know how it goes.
