Hello! fellow Jaguar fans!, I wanted to share with you another cinepak I did for the jaguarsector, in case anyone doesn't already have it. The Atari Explorer Online- 1995 Electronic Entertainment Expo, its an interesting piece of Jaguar history you can add to your JagCD collections. The three discs are not encrypted, so you will need an bypass cart or the Reboot ULS disc to run it. The images are in .cdi format burn to high quality CD-Rs on the lowest speed possible and you should get good results. Gorf, Mad Bodies, Blackout, Downfall+, Double Feature on eBay
ovalbugmann replied to scobb's topic in Atari Jaguar
Oh my gwad! Jag freakdom! Finishing ebay auctions today: Madbodies: $455.00 + $12.65 shipping - and that game sucks. DOWNFALL+: $406.01 + $5.95 shipping - I wanted this one, was even contemplating it at around $200, but I'm trying hard not to be crazy spending on Jaguar anymore and I agree with what sh3-rg said: Gorf Jag CD: $317.50 + $5.95 shipping - a decent shooter but I like Galaga & Galaxian more Blackout Jag cartridge: $511.01 + $5.95 shipping - not much gameplay to be had there, what a crazy price, didn't people watch the gameplay video first??? Just added it all up that's a whopping $1714.65 total sales for those four games for scobb(AA member)/yemchanko(his ebay id) not including $52.35 for the Double Feature Jag CD. Matthias has them for 32 euros shipped+ insurance to US or 29-30 euros shipped to US uninsured. -
Thanks, sh3 & neo!

If it got answered, then let this thread die and bury it. At this point your a shit stirrer. Not gonna waste my time reading all this - not at all interested in the drama whys, just want it to stop, i'm only here to talk about jag and do stuff with it. If this is all your contributing here, then go check out the neo-geo forums I heard they got a lotta crazyness too. laters.
-
So this is a Jag-drama thread? according to the first post? I thought we were past this? I don't want to talk about this, why stir the shit again? Of course there is the personality type that gets off on the drama. To dwell on negativity is to be negative - not something I like. Don't feed the trolls people.

New to Nintendo 64 I have a question
ovalbugmann replied to kyle's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yes, several N64 games make use of the RAM expansion pak. You'll get better textures/graphics. Just getting into the N64 myself too, I've wanted one for a long time, its the most advanced cartridge based system ever made. I thought, well I only live once Imma gonna go for it! lol. The N64 looks terrible on my lcd hdtv tho. Unfortunately, the N64 doesn't support RGB video out, so I'm left with composite and S-video, but I wanted rgb - looked into doing the mod but the easy one requires console serials NS000xxxxxx -to- NS186xxxxxx to do it and thier hard to find and the any old N64 rgb console mod is a lot more involved requiring fine pitch soldering skill basically, so I just bought an pre- rgb modded one from this one cool site I found and their on ebay too. Next a Super Nintendo RGB Scart video connector was bought(Super Nintendo has the same video port as the N64) and the scart connector plugs into a scart to component converter, then to the tv, but something like a scart switcher is need to take out the audio first. Hopefully I can an Micomsoft xrgb-mini device its one of the best upscalers available for old 240p consoles, people rave about it. Also, the N64 controller is weird, I didn't even know how to hold it, lol - so I bought the sharkpad one with the d-pad and thumbpad to one side and buttons on the other side. N64 thumb sticks are known to wear out too, and will flop to one side, plug in replacements are available for less than $5 tho. -they fixed this with the gamecube controller thumbstick design. Make sure the stick is straight when starting the N64 or controls will be off. Finally and coolest is I ordered a 64Drive for the N64, hasn't got here yet tho, and the Everdrive 64 vers.3 is very cool as well! - they are N64 flashdrives with sdcard ports, if you wanted to you could put all 380 or so N64 games on one 32gb card. I'm not even considering the older Neo-Myth N64 flash cart as its not nearly as advanced as the two I just mentioned. Enjoy your N64 gaming! -
Yes, not enough!

Well i was thinking about going for the best electronics custom one, but it's a whopping $44.95!, http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/power%20guide.htm#Combo which he says; 2. Gold Plated Audio L + R and Video RCA connectors 3. Enhanced S-Video (about 10% sharper Image and less Red bleed compared to the Atari made stock Jaguar S-Video cable) thru a custom made built in video enhancement circuit)

Oh hell yeah!, More Minter goodness on the Jag! Thanks Jeff and CJ!

Sudden Nuon controller scarcity= pricing insanity?
ovalbugmann replied to Blazing Lazers's topic in Auction Central
You think those prices in the first post are bad look at these!: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-DVD-N501-Nuon-DVD-Player-/141539842169?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f46e9879 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extra-Rare-HPI-Warrior-Digital-Gamepad-Controller-for-NUON-DVD-SAMSUNG-TOSHIBA-/161585292486?pt=ES_Televisores&hash=item259f3be4c6 Anybody know where to get a copy of Iron Soldier 3 for the Nuon? -
Ok, thanks! yeah that's a bit much!, thanks anyways - he seemed to raise the price when you inquired about it? Doubling it!, wow he must have done a finished sold auctions advanced search on ebay, lol Opinions will vary -every one has one! lolz. I think the Jaguar CD Player is cool, it has the Jeff Minter programmed VLM Virtual Light Machine for playing CDs and some cool games like BattleMorph, World Tour Racing, Primal Rage, Robinson's Requiem, Myst, Elansar, Phila, Hover Strike and the great Iron Soldier 2! with fmv's all of which are pretty decent as well as a host of homebrews. And I convert movies to run on it so I watch those too. You could get one at myatari.com or best-electronics-ca.com for $175, still. Ever since I got the Jag I knew there was supposed to be a CD add on for it with that big round indentation it has on top! I always leave mine plugged in.
-
If your going to buy the Jag + CD Player combo - cool you will enjoy it. If your not going to buy the Jaguar + JagCD unit, could you tell me where it is so I might be able to go to the store and check it out and possibly buy it? I'd like to get a spare JagCD Player as I watch movies I encode in Cinepak and play the CD games a lot on my units. Is it at Bookman's at 19th ave. & Northern or a pawn shop or something?
-
Ouch, now that's a gouge! - it's a myatari.com release for $15.00 and that is only disc one. BINs $90 Certainly doesn't do anything to reduce prices for jag stuff flipping Bruces' stuff like that. Oh well, maybe a big fish will bite.
-
No, and if you read my post above? you'd know nobody here has it or will have it, unfortunately,.... they - the Stormworks Interactive guys (rush6432) are hoarding it for themselves and, "The Laird." So you'd have to be a trusted member of that forum, and I don't think it's done yet or they might be boasting and teasing us on youtube with it, at least the laird would be, prolly.
-
The Jaguar controller is far from the worst controller, for sure. Its very comfortable, ergonomic, buttons laid out well and if a overlay is used the keypad isn't bad to use once you get used to the button position for the game your playing. Now the Nintendo NES was an uncomfortable controller
-
THere is no Primal Fear game available for the Jaguar, for the masses. It's another cancelled game, prolly. Dragon would know. Not sure who might have a beta tho, if it exists?

Can someone answer this question about rotary controller?
ovalbugmann replied to xucaen's topic in Atari Jaguar
I plug my rotary into port #1, then again i'm mostly playing one player games. When you press pause on both controllers, It will save the expanded controller(rotary) option to the eerprom until you want to reset it to default again. I contacted Nicholas on his youtube account to ask if his bottom mounted rotary was easy to control, i bought the top mounted one for $50 though, its a nice rotary!
