Dreamcast has a pretty good homebrew scene. Too bad Neo-Geo dev team stopped making them (especially since Kraut Buster looks sic....) but I think they are going to start porting them to the switch now for those of us non-crazy people that don't collect Neo-Geo homebrews:)

I've yet to play a version of Toki that isn't tedious and frustrating. I won't lose any sleep if it's never released

I played the original a lot back in the day because I owned it and that's what you did when you owned a game back then (even if it was just so so) but yeah,it was just so so. The sneaking around stuff was kind of fun, I remember when the truck starts moving (when you are looking around in it) I thought that was pretty cool. I got bored with it though and haven't made any real effort to go back and play it 30 years later so...meh...I never bought Snakes Revenge, looked dumb...

...but the crowdfunded money will not be enough to cover expenses on my side unless we're talking about maybe half a year of a salary, which is a ridiculous amount for an Atari Lynx game I'm afraid.
I don't know man, things have changed in the homebrew scene and if you bring a solid demo to the table with a realistic release date....well, a crowdfunded operation "might" just get you that half a years salary
I've seen some of these homebrew projects raise some serious money the last few years! -
lol, yeah. Laser blast was the ONLY game I had two of back in the day!

Do'h! Should have known

Eternal Darkness was a pretty fun game IIRC (I actually played through this one, which is rare, I usually just put stuff on a shelf and look at it)

Tons of them are out there, but a lot of people hoard them. I remember one guy had like 5 of them...why???

I noticed a trend..
Why everyone is selling their stuff when the child is on the way?
I actually added to my collection after my kid was born. There is nothing to be scared about, (I have more then one kid), yes few month of your life you will not be able to sleep at night, but that will pass.
When they get older, like mine did, they enjoy playing classic games.
My advise is to pack-up none essential games and consoles in boxes and store them in you closet, when the kid is ready, introduce him/her to you collection.
Good luck, and don't worry.
......because kids are EXPENSIVE!!!

I wouldn't trust the rumor mills. At e3 everyone will show their cards...

Interesting fact about Morton salt....
Iodine is very important for brain function so I used to go out of my way to use Morton Iodized salt as it had Iodine added to it. I avoided sea salt since right on the package it said "this salt does not supply a sufficient amount of Iodide" or whatever...until I learned the truth.
Sea Salt actually naturally has Iodine, decent amounts of it, but when Morton gets a hold of it they extract all the iodine and other minerals out of it and sell them. They then add back a small amount to their "Iodized" line of salts. Due to Iodides being an essential government mandated nutrient the label of salt must say it is not a sufficient source of Iodine unless it has been ADDED to it, a rule that Morton no doubt had a part in. Sneaky indeed...
