Anybody know the guy that made the Fat Albert Hack?
Crazy Climber replied to Crazy Climber's topic in Atari 2600
It's been a LONG time since I saw this show, seriously around 30 years....but IIRC didn't a Dog used to chase after them or something? You could change the purple pickle to the dog from chase the chuckwagon, lol. I know nothing about hacking games, but I do know speech is capable...if you were able to implement the famous "Hey Hey Hey" into it somehow you would have a true winner!! -

Ooohhh, I liek adding Jello Pudding pops to the label, nice touch -
Yeah, it's PAL but still a hard to find box! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-Asterix-King-Kong-games-complete-/181822525025?hash=item2a55778e61 30 Euros (plus shipping) AND you get a CIB King Kong (likely also PAL but still) seems pretty good to me but I don't need them

Do you think 1986 Atari Controller Label Typos done on purpose?
Crazy Climber replied to Philflound's topic in Atari 2600
Well, you have to remember that not everyone that works for a company really cares at all about it. I've done some temp jobs that I know I did a terrible job with. I remember one specific incident working in a plastics factory in 1994, we were assembling these Looney Toons window cling sets, I must have assembled 100's of them wrong before someone bothered to tell me the correct way. When I told him about the bad ones he just shrugged his shoulders and said " I didn't see anything" and down the line he went. If for some reason those were collectable now, people may have discussions as to why it happened, with complex theories and such but the answer was simple... I was a dumb kid making minimum wage and hated my job. I didn't lose one minute of sleep over it and a few hundred looney toon window sets made it out the door with entirely wrong parts No big conspiracy, companies just get what they pay for. You hire idiots (me) that just want to work a few days for beer money then you end up with inferior products riddled with mistakes -

Looks perfect to me! Now the question is, will the Wiz use it? If so count me in for one! -

Hello, I have a lot of TI99 Atarisoft games for sale... - Centipede - Defender - Pac Man - Protector II - Jungle Hunt - Moon Patrol - Dig Dug - Picnic Paranoa - Pole Posistion All are tested and working and have no obvious damage anywhere, overall in great shape. I can post a pic if needed but there are nothing special about TI99 Atarisoft carts appearance (they pretty much all look the same, lol) If my price is way off shoot an offer, I figured around $3-$5 each plus shipping charges so $45 shipped. (Not really looking to seperate them, kind of an all or nothing deal) Thanks! *edit! - These are loose carts, no boxes or manuals, Thanks!

I've seen some of Wiz's boxed double enders hit close to $200 Angie (Ted) is a reseller, he's bought a few of my games and instantly flipped them for double or triple. Makes no difference to me as long as he pays my asking price (no best offers for him, lol) as buyatari once said, once they leave my possesion you can keep them, sell them, dip them in acid or do whatever you want with them

Do you think 1986 Atari Controller Label Typos done on purpose?
Crazy Climber replied to Philflound's topic in Atari 2600
No, implying they did it on purpose is a bit ridiculous, lol. In 1986 Atari was starting to fall hard, meaning employees are making less money (and there are less of them in general) meaning quality goes waaaay down. When you pay a bunch of temps minimum wage to slap carts together this is what you get, mistakes that nobody catches until it's way down the line. Funny thing is it would actually cost them MORE to correct the mistake, so yeah, it was not done on purpose... -

2 Player Frogger! At the SAME time Hack wanted!
Crazy Climber replied to SoundGammon's topic in Atari 2600
If you are a NES guy the Homebrew games by Kahn "Ultimate Frogger Champion" has a mode called "Battle Frogs" that does exactly what you are describing... http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=31&products_id=74 It is unfortunately discontinued though, so if you want one hurry and find it (Out of print NES homebrews can fetch an arm and a leg after a short time of being pulled, especially retrousb stuff) -
Ha! Thanks Yeah, Mattingly was one of my Idols back in the 80's. The Thrust combat pack comes with a cool Foot controller!

Oh, and this classic 2006 pic

My Homebrew collection is a revolving door constantly buying/selling in order to feed my impulsiveness. Here are a few pics of stuff I own or have owned...this honestly would not even be 25% of what has passed through, or currently is in my possession in my crazed obbsession with these things... I currently have maybe 100 or so, I really have no idea, lol

You should be able to get all those games for around a buck each. If you go with a rainbow jr, add another $25 or so. With patience you could get all this for the cost of taking a family of 4 to burger king

It was authorized to sell through Hozer but that was a long time ago. I am sure you know but for those that do not he was a legit Homebrew/etc distributor before the blow out. I'll check with Al if he can make me one, I'll give him some time though as I know he has a bunch of stuff thats about to hit the store! I'm sure my Fat Albert repro will be rather low priority, lol -
Hello Was wondering if anybody knows the guy that made the awesome Fat Albert Hack (fast food) The database says it's David Marli, is he a member here? I would like to have a cartridge made of it for my collection but want to ask his permission first, Thanks!
