  1. I think thats a horrible idea, if a game is good and people are buying it why stop selling it. You think the creator would want as many people as possible to play there awesome game creation. The only way I could see doing this is if the game sucked and you were afraid that everybody was going to talk about how bad it is and not purchase it. By releasing a limited amount you would most likely sell all the copys of the $h*tty game right away and people would be stuck with it. Unless you are trying to make your game more collectible by the limited release which also sucks if its a fun game, why make it hard for players to obtain? Just my opinion.

  2. You know what used to make me mad? When I would let someone borrow a game back in the 1980s and they would damage the cartridge label or set a glass or cup on the instruction book leaving one of those permanent coffee cup-like circles on it. That was one of the first times I started to notice how scummy the average human was. It's like most people didn't evolve a long time ago, they just crawled out of the sea, so they are still covered in slime from head to toe and they can't keep their newly formed fingers out of their various holes.

I remember this friend I had back in High School that would come over to my house and while we were playing video games he would always ash his ciggerette on the floor when the ash tray was clearly within reach, when I would say somthing he would say it was a habit and he didnt know that he did it, Bull-$h*t, some people have no respect I tell ya.

  3. My immediate reply is that those Activision titles will be nigh impossible to find without actiplaque. Those games even have plaque when you crack a sealed copy, for the most part.

Yep, and some of the games in picture label format, command some pretty high prices (for "commons"). :ponder:

I was un aware of that. If its not to much trouble could you maybe let me know which ones? I have a feeling its probably the sears ones and honestly these are not really high on my priority list so I could post a list of substitutions for them. Thanks.

I understand, some look alot better than others though, I'm looking for the better looking ones. If anyone is unsure send me some pictures.Thanks.

  5. I've heard a reference to a "Pleasant Valley Video" release for Gauntlet for the 2600, anybody know what this means?

You really need to start using the damn search function.

The PVV version is a production ROM, soldered onto a Imagic PCB, in a Imagic shell.

Sorry man, maybe I'm searching wrong. Whenever I do it I get about 4,000 results that dont have much to do with what I'm looking for. I know I am kind of behind when it comes to computers, this month is the first time I've been able to use one for more than a couple minutes at a time so please excuse my lack of computer knowledge, Thanks.

  6. Steve

    Mangia'

Is a PAL mangia' as rare or close to as rare as the NTSC release? Or is the PAL one a very common game? How much would you say the two differ in rarity. Thanks.

PAL version is about a 7 or 8 IMHO.

Do you know if there is any way to distinguish the region difference between the cartridges with out playing them? Also can you tell the difference betrween PAL and NTSC Boxes and instructions, Thanks - The PAL world of games is pretty new to me.

  7. I sold my Nomad for a few reasons....

    1. Poor battery life, If you have to plug it in you might as well just play a Genesis.

    2. Its a large unit I would rather play a GBA instead which has a million 16-bit rehashes availible

    3. Although the screen on mine was just fine the games were a bitch to get working at times and mine would often freeze in the middle of game play. Try playing Phantasy Star 2 for an hour only to have the game freeze and you were just about to save!!That was enough for me to sell it, I dont really miss it.

  8. You are very confused, there is no such thing as PAL Answer Software games. :ponder:

I must be thinking of some other rare game. I'll have to check again. It had something to do with the NTSC box being VERY difficult to find, and that most found were PAL.

Can't remember, but I thought it was these two. Any idea on what it was?

    Anwyay, thanks for clarifying.

  9. This one is for the serious collectors, out of all the rarest games I have played (reproduction form of course) my favorite is Gauntlet by Answer software, its just a fun game to play. If I were ever to track down any of the super rare games this would be the one for me. My question is who actually owns this game and what is the going rate for this ultra rare gem? Anybody have the instructions as well? And whats the story with the box on this one, I have heard one exsists then I heard it was just flimsy case style packaging. Also any stories about how they were acquired would also be cool. Thanks

  10. I will give the Intellivision a try again someday but I would like to only collect complete games this time around. One thing I did notice was the games by Parker Bros. like Super Cobra and Tutankham seem to be pretty rare. Whats up with that, I never thought these Parker Bros. games would be rare, there not on other systems at least. One of my price guides does not even have these listed. Anybody know anything about this? Please excuse my lack of INTV knowledge but I never really owned one growing up.

  11. Just got a letter today from my credit card company. The chargeback went through. Viva Visa!

What happened to all of the Ikari's and Motorodeo's? I haven't seen many on Ebay lately. I still need them.

I second that, please post if you find any stashes for sale, NTSC ofcourse.
