No. But the Atari 800 version came with a holder for two joysticks. Standard 2600 joysticks work fine with the game. Genesis controllers work with it too.

Another thing I noticed is that some EU games like Sonic or Sonic 2 can often sell for more than they are worth on US auction, but are actually pretty cheap from EU sellers.

doh. I meant Phantasy Star 1, not 2. I do have 2 on the Genesis, but not with box like the SMS one. I also have the JP version because it came with the JP SMS (which are harder to find than the US systems). I like how it has FM, but I play the US one since I can read the text. I'll probably play the re-translation when or if I get a flash cart so I can have the best of both worlds.

Not the first model, at least they shouldn't be. I noticed pretty much any system can sell for more than they are worth on ebay. But even on ebay, I have seen working model ones under 50, sometimes with games. 16 shipped is definitely a good deal, though. I did notice some games went up in price, though. I got lucky with Phantasy Star 2 with box for around 25 on estarland, but it seems to be going for more now. Wonder Boy III still isn't too much, though.

SMS is good stuff. A lot of the games are cheap to get ahold of compared to other systems too. Even some of the EU games like Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck are pretty cheap.

That screen warp glitch was fixed in later revisions (though some early player's choice versions still have it) and the DX version.

That would be funny if that happened for real. It could be cool if names of places in large letters actually appeared when you arrived somewhere like they do in Fringe.

nm. I checked, there only seems to be one version of the game. I watched a video and I can't believe they actually put in the Star Spangled Banner in computer voice. ouch.

Is it just for the US version? Konami "tweaked" quite a few of their arcade games for the US and made them more unfair than other region versions.

I love GLaDOS. The song at the end of the game is priceless.
