Also, from what I have seen in a youtube video of the 7800 proto, the music is terrible (even for TIA sound. Sounds almost like PC speaker music).

I'm not surprised that this game may have been envisioned for the European market; the first place I encounter the Toki arcade game was in Italy!
I have seen the arcade machine a few times in the US. It didn't seem to be especially rare. At least there are other nice ports of the game. I also like the Genesis game, though it's very different.

I used a different method for adding the header, but I noticed that, last I checked, the version of flips at romhacking.net isn't the latest either. Beat sounds like the way to go, though.

Looks nice. Why no Sunsoft (back then Sun Electronics Corporation) copyright (Atari only distributed the game)? It looks like they had "licensed from Sun Electronics Corporation" on the flyers, but no in game copyright for Sunsoft, only "Atari Inc". Sunsoft definitely retains the rights, though. They recently licensed it to Hamster for the Arcade Archives on PS4 and Switch.

I just purchased the games. Can't wait to play them via harmony encore.

I have two Seagull 78s and I recommend them, especially now since it had an awesome redesign that now comes with an extension cord. Older model is still excellent, but has a built in cord instead of a detachable one.

Just tested. I played up to apple in Pac-Man and saw the first intermission in Ms. Pac-Man. No lockups!

Was your work on the incredible Moon Cresta port also a help? Apparently, that game also uses Galaxian hardware?

ok. I 'll check to see. Thanks for the info about the power supply. Could be my 7800 being finicky. It plays robot tank, but has a buzzing sound in the background that is worse when I set it to channel 3. I just chalked that up to RF, though.

Oddly, the version that Rafal has included in the \YM2151 folder of the card *does* have YM sound working.
Is this an .A78 header issue with Bob's file, or is something messed up in my cartridge settings somewhere?
I had to edit the header for MiSTer, but not for Dragonfly since the file included has the yamaha information in the header. I used the 7800header file with 7800 basic and dragged and dropped the file.

It was after I kept the cart in the 7800 for awhile. Last time I played, I had no issues. I might look into a 2A power supply, if it happens again. Mine is the one linked from Amazon 9V 1.5A.

The crash just happened during normal gameplay and there was often a buzz afterwards.
-
Had it freeze in Ms. Pac-Man too. My PSU got hot with the Dragonfly, so that might be the issue. No lockups in mister.

Hi. I have been playing this incredible hack lately and I noticed a freeze when playing Pac-Man Plus in this collection on the dragonfly. So far, I have only encountered this in Pac-Man Plus. I'll test on Mister and emu to see if I can repeat it.

Impressive. When I saw the topic, I was thinking of a different Konami game unrelated to TMNT called Turtles (also known as Turpin).

Thank you for these amazing homebrews!

Hi. I just received the cart and I love it.
I hope that you get better soon.

Thanks for reminding me of that C64 port of Frogger. I have tried it and I agree it's awesome.
-
I found the AC Frogger to be quite a chore with the occasional input drops and odd slowdowns. Definitely like a few of the home ports much better, including Froggie and the supercharger 2600 port. There is a nice bug fix hack of the AC version, though.
Not sure what my favorite home version of Joust is, but I'm going to test the Lynx, SGB, GBC, NES, SNES, and Genesis versions to see if that going through the gap trick works.

I got YM working on Mister by editing the header of the rom for Yamaha.
-
Is it possible to hack the jump kick back into 7800 Kung Fu Master? I know the 2600 version already has an excellent separate buttons hack for Genesis controller (though it's missing the jump kick, as well).
-
I couldn't get YM working, but it looks like someone on youtube got it working in Pac-Man Collection XM. It doesn't show YM enabled for me and goes to tia sound. Xevious seems to detect the controller as a single button controller, even with the correct dipswitch settings. I'm loving this core. The latest build I found on discord looks incredible in component on the Sony TV. I love how the composite filter even works in 240p in component. Great for Tower Toppler.

21 hours ago, jhd said:Well, there is the Pepper II arcade game, presumably named on the same basis as Rally II.
It's a judgement call, but The Goonies II game on the NES was technically a sequel, even though the original was never released in North America.
Not on the home system, but Goonies 1 did make it to US arcades via PC-10 and the Vs. System. I first played that game at a Chuck E Cheese on a Vs. system cabinet.

doh. beaten to the punch. Didn't see the newer posts.
I have two of the 8bitdo SNES controllers (one SNES and one SFC styled) and one of the NES wireless controllers. I tried to get a second NES controller, but they were out of stock. I like them quite a bit. Work great with MiSTer using a micro USB cable too.

Is an "action/adventure" game the single biggest hole in the 7800 library?

I found this to be one of the better things about the Midnight Mutants, especially with Al Lewis's likeness in it. I agree it doesn't hold a candle to the Zelda games, though.
