  1. Yeah, it was the same deal for me and California Games. I never paid much attention to the title screen not showing up right on my light sixer since the rest of the game works. Not to mention that I had the cart in storage for a couple of years since I could play it off harmony cart, where it doesn't have the bug. I should check some games on the Colecovision 2600 adapter to see if any act weird. I know Thrust doesn't like it, though it's okay with some games like Robot Tank that have problems on some systems (though that one is fine on the six switchers).
  2. I don't think a better Ms. Pac-Man can be done in 4k, but there is already Ms. Hack. From what I can tell, with both this and Hack 'Em, it seems the ghosts have AI closer to the arcade with the left difficulty switch set to B, though.
  3. I'm not sure if the page was there before, but the availability still says "out of stock". The odd thing about that site are ordering pages for concept only products.
  4. I found the 2600 ones at a yard sale for a dollar each with games in them, if I remember correctly. I remember some good ones like Gyruss, Reactor, Berzerk, and Star Trek SOS being in there, as well. I use two of them for 2600 carts and two of them for 7800 carts. They don't lend themselves well to differing cart shapes, though.
  5. I'm fine with waiting for Hokey, though it's nice choosing between both, as well.
  6. I like what I tried of the demo and how it seems much more challenging than the first one. More obstacles and variety too.
  7. It's frustrating that Namco often ignores Ms. Pac-Man too, though it was DLC for that XBLA/Steam/PSN collection.
  8. I tried the California Games cart on the six switcher again. It is fully playable, but doesn't display the title screen correctly.
  9. 1. Bullies 2. Toy Candy 3. playground
  10. I haven't had any problems with California games with the real cart on my six switchers.
  11. I'm guessing this was already tested, but does the same thing happen to the Stay Frosty 2 demo if it's directly dumped to the Harmony Cart instead of loading it from the menu? My mains are a Sears light sixer and a 7800 from China that is somehow able to play both Robot Tank and Dark Chambers 2600. I also have a 7800 that hates Robot Tank (don't remember if it plays Dark Chambers or not), another 7800 that likes Robot Tank (not sure about Dark Chambers), an Atari light sixer, and the Colecovision Expansion Module for 2600 games. Edit: Nice! I'm glad you figured out the problem and that's an easy fix on the hardware side of things. I'm getting the Harmony menu does something different that lets the games work? I remember River Raid II working from the harmony, but I'll check to be sure. Edit 2: River Raid 2 works from the Harmony menu on my Sears light sixer.
  12. Not very well. Not to mention that Asterix isn't greek. lol
  13. The game in Pac-Man 2 Genesis is called "Pac-Jr.", not "Jr. Pac-Man". It is basically an edited Ms. Pac-Man. Not sure of the exact reasons why it was changed, but it probably had something to do with Tengen's Ms. Pac-Man.
  14. Kaboom since it has water buckets. As far as hombrews, there's that Avalanche WIP that's fully playable. There's also a Christmas hack of Kaboom.
  15. Venture 3 animated (including the older version) flips constantly on real hardware.
  16. I know it supports portrait, and it looks the part, but I feel gameplay is what counts. Namco museum PS1 also supports tate, but the sound and gameplay is off. Namco Museum DS is more accurate gameplay wise, but, unfortunately had to be fit to the DS resolution. However, the version with Pac 'n Roll DS is also accurate and keeps the aspect ratio due to being split between two screens. XBLA version is accurate and keeps the aspect ratio, but lacks tate and has limited display options. I'm guessing the PS3 one is the same way, but I haven't played it. Come to think of it, I didn't even think of which signal the arcade Pac-Man runs at. I know some games like the Raiden Fighters series and R-Type run at odd signals. Raiden Fighters Aces 360 is probably one of the best collections in terms of options to try to simulate the arcade speed. R-Type on PS1 R-Types feels a bit faster, even with wait on.
  17. PacPc 2.0 is a good clone, but, if I remember correctly, it's not as accurate as the CV homebrew or some of the more recent emulations like Namco Museum DS and some of the arcade tricks don't work.
  18. I disagree that the Intellivision games were completely bad. Mouse Trap is good and Ladybug and Venture seem to be good, as well. DK Jr. is a flawed port, but a decent effort. I found most of their 2600 games to be decent, with some of their later games like Frontline being more impressive. I also like some of the hated games like Zaxxon. It's definitely better than the SG-1000 one that has impressive graphics and music, but has a boring layout that only gets marginally harder after looping. Too bad the 2600 Looping and Cabbage Kids weren't released since they seem to be among their better 2600 games.
  19. As far as Ms. Pac-Man goes, the 5200/800 version is my favorite back in the day port. At the time it came out, it was really impressive how close it was to the arcade. I still feel that it's better than some more recent ports like the PSX Namco Museum.
  20. Harmony cart works with 7800, but some games on it may have issues. I have a couple 7800s that work with Robot Tank, so it varies depending on the system, though.
