  1. Thanks, but I think you misunderstood. I was saying I was disappointed that the rom was unlikely to be released and meant I have been checking the forums constantly. I checked facebook and the message about the ROM not being released is actually on youtube.
  2. Not playing to much as of late, but I have been playing a bit of Track and Field. Very nice port with an awesome controller.
  3. I use the CX40, Competition Pro, and Genesis pads.
  4. Isn't that what you just said?
  5. That's disappointing. I have been checking the forums for info and was hoping to play the newer prototype on harmony cart.
  6. Is difficulty ramping implemented?
  7. Famicom/NES version got released here, though a bit later than in Japan. A lot of the other early JP versions were on computers that either had a limited release (MSX) or weren't released at all in the US. Most US games on TG-16 were published by Nec themselves. They published several Namco games, including Galaga 88 (under the name Galaga '90), Splatterhouse, World Court Tennis, Final Lap Twin, and Pac-Land, but I have no idea why Xevious was passed up. I find it especially odd since they even brought over obscure games like Bravoman and Ordyne.
  8. Tutankham I like quite a bit too. I like the 2600 Zaxxon, but the game that really proves Zaxxon works well with a pseudo 3D perspective is Zaxxon 3D on SMS. That's more of the sequel than a remake, but it's good stuff.
  9. Looks completely different from the 5200 version. Somewhat reminds me of 720 and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Looks like it may have been designed for a special controller, telling from that flashlight screen.
  10. The FC version is called Warpman and is somewhat of an updated version.
  11. Despite having more similarities to Game of Death, Kung Fu Master was originally licensed from a Jackie Chan movie, Spartan X (JP name for Wheels on Meals). As far as I know Jackie Chan's likeness (for the AC version) was the only thing taken from Wheels on Meals.

    lcd tv delay

I definitely prefer CRTs for older games. I tried temporarily hooking up Atari's Video Pinball console to the HDTV and the results weren't pretty. Lag was bad enough to effect gameplay. I also noticed that the TV upscales anything lower than S-Video. Even the 480i native GCN Mega Man collection had terrible lag when played with the composite cable, though it was fine (at least as fine as that collection can be) in component.
  13. oh ok. The red ghost didn't seem to follow as much with the switch set to A and I wasn't completely sure how the difficulty switches worked in Hack 'Em and Ms Hack. I was mislead a bit since I didn't test the higher levels.
  14. neat. Odd how Defender skipped 7800 when it was on pretty much everything else, even Intellivision and Colecovision.
  15. My favorite version of Lock 'n Chase is the GB version, but that's an updated game rather than a port. I like the 6k Intellivision version quite a bit, though I wouldn't mind playing the 8k one when I get a flash cart. The Intellivision website made it sound like the control was poor in the 6k, but I didn't have a problem with it, despite the odd stopping quirk. I like the 2600 one too, though that one is simplified compared to other versions.
  16. 40,000 Bonus pic. Popeye. He not only has a big nose, but he was quite the foul mouth in the original Segar comics (though he was later toned down).
  17. I checked Pac-Man Collection 7800 and Ms. Pac-Man seems to be faster than the ghosts in that one too.
  18. Nice hack. Any chance of Ugg or Wrongway being added?
  19. No matter which device I tried it on, the sound of the game is too quiet. I don't think it's an issue with the equalizer settings. In the Genesis/NES Ms. Pac-Man, the ghosts don't speeed up with you by default, but there are extra difficulty settings to speed up the ghosts.
  20. The Atari 800 version has the wider range of movement of the Asteroids, but is too slow and easy. It also has input lag for shields/hyperspace/flip. Shields don't even time out in that version. 2600 version is much better.
  21. They are also on 360, Steam, and PS3. The collection is called Chronicles of Mystara and the two arcade games are Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara. I don't think there's any relation to the Intellivision Tower of Doom. The arcade games are side scrolling beat 'em ups with RPG elements.
  22. That video reminds me a lot of the hidden debug code in Sonic 2 for Genesis.
  23. Pit Fighter on CPC looks like a poor Spectrum port. It's annoying when developers do that on C64, MSX, and CPC. I'm not sure if that is the best site to check for CPC fighting games. It lumps beat 'em ups, action games, and 1 or 1 fighting games together. Shadow Dancer is the sequel to the arcade Shinobi and more of an action game. I do agree that most of those look better than Pit Fighter, though.
