  1. It's a racing game featuring 2 seater convertables.
  2. You might be kicking yourself if you come across a working game gear with no battery covers.
  3. If you're looking for a megatouch based on the force hardware, than it's not going to get much cheaper than that, especially for a refurbished unit since new software upgrades are still being released for it. If you're looking for a megatouch in the XL or MAXX hardware range, than you can get one much cheaper than that.
  4. Console housings are usually made from ABS plastic. The place I got my second genesis from, used starting either to clean game consoles. It worked really well and they looked brand new afterward.
  5. The psp is an excellent platform, especially if you enjoy tinkering with stuff since just about every aspect of it can be customised to you liking. The psp homebrew scene seems overwhelming at first just becasuse there is so much of it and it evolves very quickly, but just set some simple goals for what you want to accomplish and take it one step at a time. With the pandora battery, The risk of totally screwing up your system is reduced to nearly none, so if you happen to do somthing you shouldn't have, you can just insert your battery and mem stick and start over from scratch. If you don't feel like waiting a month to get your battery from dealextreme, there are many videos on youtube that will show you step by step, how to convert a spare battery to be pandora capable.
  6. It's an offical cab. It would be a shame to see this peice of genesis history destroyed by trying to hack together a 2 player setup on it.
  7. The genesis version is fairly decent, while the snes version is pretty mediocre.
  8. Some people are just devoid of humor. I got a pretty good laugh out of it.
  9. Blackthorne is an excellent platformer. There's no reason not to pick it up.
  10. One of the quides i've seen so far mentioned a 3rd party 6 button controller.
  11. I started out punishing myself by trying to beat wayne's world on the genesis then gave up. I've played the megatouch off and on. I just repaired my vectrex, so i've been playing some patriots remix. Thinking about loading "all good things" on the vecflash so I can try out vectrix. I might convert soul reaver so I can play it on the psp before bed as long as team fortress 2 doesn't get in the way.
  12. The recent couple of vectrex topics made me want to put in some quallity playtime on mine once again, But it had a slight problem. The video was off center about 1/8" to the left. I figured that with my recently aquired experence with arcade monitors, I should be able to adjust the picture back to normal. I removed all of the screws and removed the back of the case and noticed that one of the AC lines that go to the power switch had been pinched between the seam of the case and had left some of the copper exposed. I quickly repaired that with heat shrink tubing and moved on to adjusting the video. I discovered where all of the adjustmen pots were on the monitor chassis and turned powered on the vectrex so I could see which pots adjusted what. About 10 minutes and a few different games later, I felt satisfied that the image on the monitor was perfectly centered and streached, so I put the back of the case back on. I wasn't prepared for what happened when I powered on the vectrex. Everything was freaking loud! Not abnormally loud, but normal volume! The entire time i've owned it I just thought that the sound amp sucked because even at max, the volume was kind of faint. I just thought that's how it was. Before, I just thought that people were nit-picking about that ground loop problem that causes that famous vectrex buzz because I couldn't really hear it before. Now I am happy to hear it. Even though I can probably correct it, I really dont want to. I'm just happy that my vectrex is now operating at it's peak performance, ......as well as catching that potential fire hazard. I played an hour or so of patriots remix and the loudness of the explosions, especially at the game over screen just totally adds to an awesome experiance. I'm now on the hunt for a sega genesis controller to modify, as well as seriously thinking about adding to my homebrew game collection. Maybe I should start that light pen project that i've been putting off. I think I love the vectrex even more now!
  13. It may be more of a bar than an arcade type of machine, but a countertop megatouch would be a good choice. The latest XL software includes about 50 games, many of which are quite addictive. There is also enough variety that just about anyone will find games that they enjoy on it. These machines are really a great value for the small amount of space they take up. I consider mine to be the best money i've spent on a game so far.
  14. The Vectrex, the carrying case, and the three games with instructions ( scramble, berzerk, and clean sweep) for $35.00.
  15. I have it. For some reason, the world championship soccer logo is on the cartridge, but it's actually world cup italia '90. It's the same wether the genesis is set to ENG, JAP, or PAL. It does seem kind of odd though.
  16. Didn't nintendo convince Joseph Lieberman that the objective of the game "night trap" was to commit acts of violence against women, which kicked off the 1993 congressional hearing on violence in video games in an attempt to knock sega out of the market.
  17. If you don't mind doing a bit of wiring, you can try one of these out. http://www.jrok.com/hardware/RGB.html These are used in superguns to convert the 15khz rgb video output from arcade game boards into composite and s-video. There is also a version that will convert the rgb signal into component video as well. It does the same thing as the xmd-3 converter.
  18. It's a bootleg. Possibly from Brazil. Same thing goes for the sonic 3 cart as well.
  19. If you don't mind a bit of extra work, you can change your t.v. into an arcade monitor for about $100.00 http://www.genao.com/datatech/monitor.html
  20. It's possible that you could find a PAL compatible t.v. in the u.s. I have a 27" phillips made in 2001 that accepts PAL video signals. I didn't find out about it untill a few weeks ago though after I installed region switches in my genesis.
  21. Here you go. http://www.maturion.de/dreamcast/mterlouw/
  22. I can't speak for the gba version, but blackthorne is an excellent game. I just finished the 32x version last month. The controls feel a little slow and clunky at first, but if you can get used to the running and jumping, they should start to feel more natural.
