I'm not completely sure if I'm doing this game right. I set the dip switch to 3 Lives, but when I start the game it appears to only give me one...do I need to drop 3 coins in? That seems to be the only way I get 3 Lives to play with.

Yes, actually Donkey Kong II is available for MAME - as of v.140, I think. It's called Donkey Kong II - Jumpman Returns...I've played it for hours and hours. It has eight screens - four old and four new. You play all eight and then it repeats -- only harder!!! FAIL. EDIT: I would also love to see that Donkey Kong II hack availble in some form. I don't have any way to play it! From what I've heard, you need to have an original Donkey Kong arcade cabinet and buy an upgrade board to play it. I don't think it's available on MAME either. I think it would be amazing if you included it, Eduardo! It would add greater incentive for people to buy the game and SGM. As someone else had stated, Donkey Kong is available (for better or worse, gameplay wise) on many systems. If you included the hack, which not many people have had a chance to play, it would make the package MUCH more desirable. Just a thought...

Thanks for the tips...I was unsure how to use this stuff.... See the bottom right of your picture... see the three unused and devastating Strata Bombs (space bar)...see the invincibility cloak (any other key)... see your score increase

I don't mind the higher skill levels...back when I originally played these games I rarely played at a higher skill level than Level 1...just a personal preference (plus I was a wimp and wanted the easiest game possible)...now after years and years of playing video games, none of these games seem as challenging as they used to so the higher skill levels are a welcome change. I'm trying to throw down the gaunlet by selecting higher skill levels - particularly as the tournament progresses and we get closer to a winner. Skill 3 was often mooted by Coleco as being equivalent to the difficulty level of the Arcade game - although that may not always be accurate. Good luck to everyone.

Team Pixelboy - Select the MSX port you want most!
jblenkle replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I really like Ghostbusters...the MSX version is just like the Atari 8-bit version which I always had a lot of fun playing. It's kind of long and involved playing the thing, but it's still one of my favorites.
