Brings back bitter memories of trying to buy Donkey Kong Jr. at Toys R Us, but the clerk insisted I had the ticket for Donkey Kong and wouldn't give me the DK Jr. box...even though the ticket clearly said Donkey Kong Jr on it. She was going by the skew number which obviously had been mislabeled. Had to go hunt down the manager myself to straighten it out. I was so pissed I never bought anything there again when she was working "the cage".

Man, when I first saw that picture I thought I was looking at my game shelf...very similar in setup, but with ColecoVision, SNES, 2600 and Sega Genesis games. The rest of my games (NES) are in another hutch and in the closet on a 4 shelf bookcase (Sega CD, PlayStation 1 & 2, 3DO, Saturn, Xbox, N64, Gamecube, and Dreamcast).
I'm lucky enough to have our third bedroom as a computer and video game room (and potential fire hazard)
So I hate having to stack games in front of other games
I have a lot of games in my dresser under the TV
I hate only being able to use one shelf but my wife and I are lifelong readers and we own over 2000 books
So here is my pathetic game shelf

My favorite "must play" games are:
Sundog: The Frozen Legacy
Dungeon Master
Oids
I'm looking into an Atari 1040ST, and I was wondering what great games were released in America. Apparently it was a lot more popular in Europe.

I've made it to the 2nd mountain, but can never figure out how to get to the next. I can't make any sense out of the caves on the 2nd one and it's easy to get lost -- especially with Grog chasing after you. sometimes you just have to flee through a cave to get away from him, not really paying attention to where you are going or what cave took you there.
My god is this game hard. Has anyone ever "beat" it? I can barely make it to the next mountain but I can never get enough clams.
Its addictive but frustrating.
I loved BC's Quest for Tires...this one is a little bit of a let down methinks.

It was added to at least MAME v.140...I skipped over several versions before that. There is also Donkey Kong Foundry which only contains one extra screen that was added around v.135.
I don't have MisfitMAME installed. dkongx11 works fine in my slightly out-of-date plain old MAME and is the same sadistic game I played at FunSpot/ACAM. Maybe the debian/ubuntu packagers enabled the misfit games at build time, I don't know, but since MisfitMAME is packaged separately I assume that's not the case.
You don't need MisfitMAME to play Donkey Kong 2 it's supported by the latest version of MAME.

Not to be a downer...but once again, the common shallow-pocketed gamer (like me), is being priced out of this game before it's even produced. I love Joust, but I could never come up with that kind of money for it.
I would love for you too keep looking.
Sounds like all we need now is for investors to step forward. I'll go $100 personally.
Would half now and half later be acceptable to you Daniel?
There might be a publisher that would want to CIB this game.
Anyone want to join me in paying Newcoleco to do this?

NIAD knows!!! No, seriously, if I understand correctly, the game would have to be totally re-programmed because it makes system calls specific to the ADAM and not ColecoVision....right, NIAD?
when a playable version for Colecovision ?
NEVER!

Never say never.... you never know

I just had an interesting glitch occur on Time Pilot. I was in the 1940s level and shot the required 20 planes, but the red plane never appeared so I couldn't advance to the next level. It never did appear for any of my remaining lives...weird!!!

Yeah, my wife has been on vacation this week....so little playing time for me...every time I try, it's "can you do this...or can you do that..."
Managed to get around 30 mins playing time before being told I had to take the dog for a walk. Managed one reasonable game but my score still sucks

I always liked the Atari 8-bit computer version of E.T. I used to play that game or hours on end. Wish someone would turn out a ColecoVision game similar to it.
WOW!
This is bang on what I was looking for, to the letter!!!!
:rolling:
I look forward to seeing how you deal with the challenge of Shatner's stacatto delivery!

aaaaand I also look forward to what I REALLY think you're working on.

Sarcasm aside, I believe a well-done remake of E.T. The Extraterrestrial would be a good thing. Maybe someone could even add some newer, more interesting levels. Say, for instance, a level where Elliot tries to outrace the bad guys on his bike with E.T. in the basket. Would be cool.

I get those emails every so often and immediately forward them to [email protected] ... you'll get a nice email back telling you that the email was indeed phony and thank you for contributing to the ongoing security of paypal by reporting it.
I just received an email from Paypal Security Center my account has been limited. It showed up 8/7 3:28 am. I am not sure if it is real or fake. I have not opened the email yet. We are going on vacation very soon!! Should I wait after my vacation or try to resolve this in the next day?

Maybe the well is dry right now, but all the CVs you've fixed/modded may need servicing again eventually. The hardware is very old, after all and despite your great work, stuff breaks or wears out eventually.
If there were 100 ColecoVisions here and you've worked on 99 of them...yeah, business is going to slow down...but that doesn't mean it's gone forever.
I still have one CV in need of fixing, as well as 10 or so controllers but my bank account is rather empty right now so there's not much I can do about it.
