I've think I've seen those guys pictures before...they are in my dictionary under "nerd"
Pretty funny and sarcastic shit! The guy should go F**K himself... or maybe he already has!

One good strategy I've found is to keep moving right and fire twice right ahead of each pair of the boats that cross in front of you. You can get a lot of points that way. If you keep moving and stay in the water, the missiles don't track you 90% of the time. The only time I'll stop and move into the air is if a missile appears to be dead center coming at me. Then I'll eliminate it and go back to firing at whatever's in the water. Sometimes if there are no missiles coming, I'll go back left and also in the air and pick off some targets too, but going right non-stop always seems to work best.
94,500
Better score
I'm pretty sure I can improve on this.

OK, now that I've played Subroc on a real machine with a real joystick, the "*" key will restart a new game at the same skill level you were playing previously...the "#" takes you back to the player select and game option screen...and either one of those will get rid of the black screen.
90,200
146,600
A minute or so after a game is over, the screen becomes black, is there any way to get it back?
Also, is there any other way than to reset the coleco to start a new game?
Thanks.

I noticed that black screen too...even playing on an emulator...seems the only option is to reset.
If you are talking about playing another game after finishing your last one, pressing the "*" and "#" seem to do it...I don't remember which is which, but one of them will take you back to the game option screen, the other restarts the same skill level game you were playing previously.

Subroc - 137,700
I'm surprised as I'm not finding this game very challenging until I get over 100,000 even at Skill Level 3. The missiles & mines seem to change their behavior a bit after 100,000 points and are much harder to avoid.
Edited at 1:50 a.m. - Spoke too soon about Level 3 not being hard. I've been playing this all day and have yet to go over 100,000 again...usually to the 70 thousands...but once to 97,000...I need sleep!!!

Thanks for your hard work on this...seriously!!! Since I've joined in on this high score thing I've played my ColecoVision games more than ever before. I now realize back in the early 80s when I originally started playing I wouldn't challenge myself to do better at some of these games and in some, never got by the first few levels. Now I have a reason to try. Looking forward to Subroc...it should be a fun one!!!
I am on vacation at the moment and unable to update the high scores and leaderboard. Once I am back I will finalise the high scores and points for this round. In the meantime I have posted the game for Round 3 (Subroc) which starts in a few hours.

Any thoughts on price yet? I might have to chip in for this one!!
The front of the box is done, the rest is piece of cake
Label will be made this weekend or next week
I already have the ADAM "Best of Broderbund" so it'll be easy to make the A.E. manual (I've done some works on the manual already)
So expect to get your CIB copy of A.E. soon

From the pictures it looks like everything is in really good condition...are those eproms marked at all as to what they are?
-
I would like to see Gorf redone...something along the lines of the Super Game which was planned for ADAM -- with either brand new screens unique to the CV, or at the very least an accurate arcade version (including the voice).

The controllers look like NES controllers, but the cartridge slot looks all wrong for NES games...anyone read Chinese?
Don't know that things. But Chinese cloned tons of console generally with extremely bad quality.
What i wonder see that console, is, if it is well a "colecovision" clone compatible with a real colecovision, how do you select "Skill level" ? It seems there is no numeric pad to do that.
As there is pad instead of joystick , i think this console is from after 1985 . And the fact it is white confirm that.
I'd think it would be more a SG 1000 clone than a colecovision. but i don't think Mr Do for SG 1000 exists.

I used to play Frogger in the arcades so much that the music is permanently embedded in my head.
Awesome summertime game! Thanks for choosing this one.

No problem. I'm trying to balance between games that haven't been played for a while, have been requested for this season, as well as previously requested as per the games index list. I know I can't please everyone but I'll do my best to strike a balance.
Plus I love Frogger

Yah! I got the same problem...2.2...my phone won't even let me download it. AS they just gave us a 2.2 upgrade a few months ago, I don't expect 2.3 will be coming anytime soon.
Only compatible with Android OS 2.3 and up. I have 2.2.

Yeah, that makes more sense...I always worried about editing an old post with a new score for fear it had already been recorded and the new score would be overlooked...

Get one of these...

Update, I found a new machine, and actually now I am hooked and plan to get much more. one of the nice things about being an adult is I can actually buy stuff now!
So I got a new Atari 800 and I plan to meld my old one in with this so it is still going to have the heart of my old machine.
I also got a really nice Atari 1200XL and more cartridges than ever. I want to get an interface so I can back up my old disks to flash, any ideas?
thanks everyone for all the great advice and ideas.

LucasArts Titles
in ColecoVision / Adam
Posted
I bought a 7800 way back when and almost immediately got rid of it. Hated the controllers, didn't like the graphics compared to other systems, and a slow roll out of good titles killed it for me.
