    Man, I've jumped into collecting head over teacup now. I must have. I've got a list of game that I want for this system...Burai Fighter, SMB 1 and 2, Duck Hunt, Robocop, Total Recall, Ghostbusters II, Top Gun 1 and 2, Rad Racer, Galaga, Wizards and Warriors (almost got that today), Super Sprint, Vindicators...

    Notice how most of them are Tengen!?

     

    Well, so I found a NES for $15 with all hookups at a thrift shop. The I went a bought games for it. I got Skull & Crossbones, Burai Fighter (decent R type clone) and the normal Tetris cartridge.

    That is the normal one, right? Since we're on an Atari forum, the black cart should be normal, and the grey one is odd.

     

    The whole thing set me back $50 plus tax. Oh, the console actually works more than it blinks--even with the Tengen games and especially with Tetris. Tetris hasn't blinked yet.

     

    don't sell any of the tengen carts. they tend to be very fun to play

    guys I was lieing the whole damn time. I'm only in the third dungeon. I am having a great time!

     

    ( I hated to see you guys get mad)

     

    this is a great game. one for the ages.

     

    I love the way they make you explore instead of telling you what to do!

    what? does blasting the sides of the walls count as cheating? (If it does then I am heart broken :sad: )

     

    I also blasted through caves and stuff

     

    besides, there is no actual CHEATING there are just hidden entrances etc. that I bothered to discover.

    yeah I finished all of the other dungeons and got all of the items. ( yeah you need the items. For example, you need the bridge)

     

    oh yeah I forgot to mention I BEAT ZELDA IN 25 HOURS!!!

    16x9 DOES NOT EQUAL HD!!!!!!!!!

     

    HD pertains to resolution (number of pixels). 16x9 is an aspect ratio (the width of the box enclosure your screen inserts into versus the height - so for every 16 units wide, it is 9 units tall).

     

    There were plenty of 16x9 televisions in SD being sold in the world in the late ninties (this is also known as EDTV). They don't have HD resolution, but the screen was able to be stretched for anamorphic widescreen DVDs (and to play GOLDENEYE in 16x9)

     

    Learn your television terminology.

     

    Yes, I know the wii is in SD (but it supports 480p)

    You dufus.. bomb the wall in the dungeon :lol: Right there in the center of the top, bottom, left/right walls. Which one? Well there's only so many walls in there, and if you spent 5 hours, I'm sure within that time you could have systematically tried it :P

     

    already tried blasting away the wall but it didn't work

    I doubt that they put whole E.T. carts in a landfill. they would sell them for ay cheap or just give them away. They us said they did for publicity. Just like when topps said they put a honus wagner in one pack of topps baseball cards. The only way someone can convince me carts were buried is to bring me to the site, start digging and pull one out of the ground.

    zelda is now taking up shelf space and legacy of the wizard takes up most of my nes playing time.

     

    oh well I was having fun in zelda until I got stuck. I wish I could play on but I can't get past the second dungeon :sad: :sad: :sad: oh well

    I love this game! what the hell was I doing in 1988? I should have played it! anyhow. I'm in the castle and don't know what to do there is a path going across the screen and it has 2 walls surrounding it. Once I killed the bats a bomb appeared in the center. What am I supposed to do?

    The Wii doesn't do 16:9 (literally I'm not being sarcastic and mean), it only does 4:3 with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480.

     

     

     

    You are wrong, I hate to say. The Wii does support 16:9. Hell, the N64 supported it with a handful of games (Goldeneye comes to mind)
