  1. No problem on the banner. I will get the link and a news announcement up sometime tomarrow.
  2. I noticed it is in Mexico. Could this be a more common system down there?
  3. Nice looking site. I noticed that the contact us thing is not working... I got an error when I clicked submit. I also noticed the link to VintageGamer.net. I would be happy to link back to AtariForce... do you have a banner yet?
  4. The best I have found in the wild (World Championship Cart aside) is about a 6 an the rarity scale. The advantage to finding them at Gamestop or elsewhere is that semi-rare carts are often very cheap at these places, as they usually only mark-up popular games. Check out the rairty list (incomplete on my website. You can Also visit the digital press website for a rarity lis next time you go shopping.
  5. "to hell with it, Merry Christmas to me." HAHAH! I like your attitude MMF!
  6. I don't have a problem with the Iraqis.... I have a problem with Saddam. It maybe an extreme comparison... but it is not an unfair comparison. I don't have a problem with French Canadians or EA. I do have a problem with French policy. Is that clear enough for everyone!?!?! I am dropping the subject. I don't want to start hating people here. Plus I can see where this is going... I don't want to go there.
  7. What is the most you have ever paid for a single game on ebay? For me, it would be $250 for a sealed Final Fantasy 3. BTW... I sold it 4 months later for about $450.00!
  8. So if Usama Bin Ladden released a fun game.... you would buy it? C'mon. I know that is an extreme example, but think about it. It isn't a hate thing... it isn't a race thing. In fact, my Mom's side of the family is French Canadian. I don't want this topic to go off on a political rant, but I am in favor of a French boycott until they apologize and change their policies. Please don't go off on me.... that is just how I feel and what I believe. If you want to buy games and support a country's economy that is friends with Saddam and other Terrorist states, go right ahead. When the French economy goes into recession, as I believe it eventually will, they will have to change their policies. If Atari was owned by a US company I would be more than happy to jump on the "Support the new Atari" bandwagon... I would probably be leading the charge! If onfogrames was owned by GE or something, I would be thrilled. But it isn't, so I'm not! BTW.... I inadvertantly bought Ikagua for my Cube when it came out.... I now feel bad about that.
  9. I found this thread extremely interesting. I am planning (crosses fingers) on opening a store in the not to distant future. (1-2 years) I am ashamed to say it, but I actually worked at a Funcoland for about a month and a half. You don' get a commishion, but getting more sales does give your some perks... like cool promotional stuff and what not. It was not a hard or stessful job, but I just didn't like it. I didn't care for the idea of pushing the Game Informer Magazine, I don't like talking ppeople into the extended warranty, and I would not tell someone a game is great when it isn't! If a game sucks.... the customer is going to be pissed-off... why would you want the customer to be pissed-off? I am glad you put that asshole in his place. "Upgrade your system" who the fuck is he to tell you what games to like?!?! Not one store in Southern California sells Atari games and most of the are phasing out everything pre-SNES.... why is beyond me! I tell you... when and if my store ever open, I am carrying everything I can and there won't be any "buy this game" Bullshit. I am a firm believer in no pressure.... just games.
  10. Infogrames is French isn't it? I am going to have to really want a title for me to buy it.
  11. The N64 and PS1 Generation of game did NOT impress me. The 3-d Shooter thing was pretty cool at first, but I got tired of it. I loved Atari, NES, SNES... then for some reason I was only into PC games (as far as modern gaming goes) until the GameCube came out.
  12. I would also suggest buying a copy of the Digital Press Video Game Guide. http://www.digitpress.com It has a great rarity scale and price guide for Atari stuff. I mainly collect for the 7800 and the NES. The Nintendo section is not as good, but it does the job. If you will be attending the Classic Gaming Expo, they will also be selling them there.
  13. Good question..... I am clueless!
  14. Those of you who also post at VintageGamer may have alread head this story! Had I gotten to the god-damned video game store 2 minutes sooner, I could of had a World Championships Cart!!!!!! I walked in and passed I guy with a cart that caught my eye, I asked him what he bought and he showed me..... It was a Grey World Championships Cart. Some Dumbass actually traded it in at the Games 4 Less! The dude who bought it showed it to me and we chatted a bit. I offered him $300.00 but he wasn't interested. GRRR! Can you belive Games 4 Less sold it to him for only $10?!?!?!?! GEEZ! Just goes to show you that the world is full of dumb-shits who trade in super rare carts!
  15. Well, I am not going to disqualiy anyone for having more than one entry. The entries will get voted on.... so it is really up to the VG members which entry wins.
  16. I still liked it when it was owned by hasbro..... but since infogrames is french... screw'em!
  17. About posting the contest here..... It is posted at VG as well. I posted it here for two reasons: 1. Many VG users also post a AA, so the traffic thing shouldn't really be an issue. 2. VG deals with Nintendo, not Atari. So I didn't really think anyone would be offened. Besides, I figured since AA has so many more members, it would be a much better chance of getting some awesome entires! Hope this clears things up, and again, it wasn't VG's intention to "steal" traffic or offend anyone. I just thought some creative souls would be interested. (Besides, the winner gets a free t-shirt!)
  18. Well, I sent out my payment. I had e-mail hime before the auctionand he assured me that it was brand-new and factory sealed.
  19. I noticed that as well. Good point!
  20. If we didn't have strategey guides, people would still figure out how to beat the game. The thing is, many gamers are lazy..... and buy the stategy guide. I have a friend like this. Personally I think that ruins the spirit of the game and is a waste of money, but thats me. As long as Publishers can make a buck selling strategey guides, and as long as this generation of gamers remains lazy, this is the way thing will stay. When I bought Dragon's Lair 3D on the Cube, the dude at GameStop is said I "needed" the guide. Umm.... whatever. Granted, the guide would have made it easier, but I beat the game in a couple of weeks reguardless.
  21. Hi all. I am new to Jaguar Collecting, but I think I got an okay deal on this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=3528&rd=1 Tell me what you think.
  22. WOW! It is over $1,000 and the bidder does not look like a dead beat! Even if I were a rich man, I don't know if I could justify $1,000 for a crappy NES game. (or so I am told) Also, I am VERY surprised to see it go for so much. I saw the auction for the Sealed Stadium Events Migorz was refering to..... it only went for about $600. Someone must REALLY want this thing, but I feel the price is very inflated. Recently a Cheethamen II - Sealed sold for $150..... and that is much harder to get then Stadium Events.
  23. NASCAR Thunder 2003! I am a bug NASCAR fan, but it is also the best racer on the GC. 2003 has some great improvements over the previous versions.
  24. #4 seems to be a bit of a problem..... toss it out if you wish!
