Where do you mostly buy games from?
Nintendo Penguin replied to junglehunter's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I am not telling! -
It does rock! I am loving it! It is hard as hell though!
-
Even if they were deleted, doesn't the post count still stand? I inadvertantly pruned the entire site over at VG, but the post count for everyone stayed the same.

Okay, I have the black one... it is the sports version. Are that a lot more rare than the white ones? All I see in the used section at GameStop is white ones... I have never seen another black one!

Is internet play important to you?
Nintendo Penguin replied to Ze_ro's topic in Modern Console Discussion
It is kinda cool, but not Neccessary... and I will be damned if I am going to pay money for it like Phantasy Star Online for the Cube. The only time I have thought it would be a good feature to have is so I can play NASCAR Thunder with my buddies... thas about it. -
I knew about Cheetamen II not being technically released.... but I had no idea Mike Etler was the one who ended up them.

Zelda: The Wind Waker BLOWS
Nintendo Penguin replied to theaveng's topic in Modern Console Discussion
This game has been begged on a lot.... first it was the new graphics, then it was gameplay, then it was athe ending. Maybe some people bought a different version of the game then me... I thought it was a great game. -
I found this to be a pretty interesting thread. I too, like the 1-10 scale better than the Mike Etler list, but when it came time to assign rarity over a VG, I found it wasn't that easy. Some of the "A's" on the Etler list don't deserve to be more than a 5 on the rarity scale. Until someone steps up and says that under 100 = 10, 5000= 8, and so on, this will always be arbitrary.

Anyone got any info on the new Turtles game for the Cube? All I know is that Konami is making one.

Who's picked up "Wind Waker"?
Nintendo Penguin replied to tiggerthehun's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I ordered mine on Nintendo.com Yesterday. (They had a good bundle package) Anyway, most everyone seems to like it. Does anyone think it is to easy, or are you finding it challenging? Or is it just plain entertaining? -
A previous thread about dying video game genres made me think of this. Who is your favorite classic programmer? Who do you think was the best overall? In my opinion this would have to be Roberta Williams. (King's Quest Series and co-founder of Sieraa Online) Any thoughts?
-
I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the old Sierra Games... especially King's Quest and Space Quest. I am also proud to say I beat most of them before I was 12. I mean c'mon.... those were some games that required some thinking. (Unlike much of todays crap!) I really enjoyed FF VII, but it was not all that mentally challenging.... I was not stumped once! Some of those old Sierra games had me thinking for weeks on one problem, and in many cases there was more than one way to do something. I laugh at today's little shitheads who brag about beating what they think is an adventure game! I would love to bust out some old Sierra 5 1/4 floppys and have some little PS2 brat try and beat one of those! Roberta Williams.... where are you!
-
Haven't seen one of those in a l-o-n-g time! But the last thing I need os another console taking up space!
-
Looks like it might have potential to be a future rare. I am not really sure though... I don't collect for PS1 or PS2.

Developers Vote on Favorite Console
Nintendo Penguin replied to justice_is_blind's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The Gaming Industry is in a sad state of affairs. In todays age of polished graphics and Surround sound... a lot of developers forgot to make their games fun. Whoops. I could make a convincing argument that the SNES is the best system of all time. Whatever your personal choice is, it should definately not be one of the current consoles.... they can be included once their life-span is over. There are too many titles in development to decide which is best at this point. Also, I am seriously unimpressed with many of the developers these days.... so their opinions mean about jack-shit to me. Not to say there isn't any good games out there, but the truth is I probably wouldn't even own a modern console if it wasn't for super realistic looking games like NASCAR Thunder or Tiger Wood Golf. -
I like the first a second ones the most. Come to think of it... I really enjoyed all of the turtle games.
-
I saw that ROB in the F-Zero game.... cool. Does it do anything?
-
Just a quick heads up for everyone.... at Nintendo.com go to the store... there is some great deals on a Zelda or Metroid Bundle Pack.
