OKay, here is the deal with everythng NASCAR.... I would go back and purchase NASCAR Season 2003 for the PC if you have a decent system. All kinds of folks have made lots of mods for it so you can download the current schedule, points system, track,as well as classis NASCAR stuff. If you decided to go this route, visit www.jrsraceplace.com. That site is owned by Dale Jr, he does post on the message boards, and you can get a ton of helpful links there. If you are dead set on getting NASCAR for the cube, you should be able to find NASCAR Thunder 2003 brand new for about $19.00 or less. Dirt to Daytona is okay, but Thunder, despite all it's flaws is better. NEWS FLASH - EA will be making a NASCAR game for the cube. It should be released this fall. You mat want to hold out for that. I suspect EA feared my wrath and the tons of hate mail I forwared them for not releasing Thunder 2004 for the cube! That is why '05 will be on the cube.

Nintendo site like this one?
Nintendo Penguin replied to buddpaul's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know who is making that site? -
Contrary to apparent popular belief, I have not sworn off video games and joinded a cult. I have been playing Rise of Nations on my PC lately. Anyone else got it? IS the expansion worth it?

Nintendo site like this one?
Nintendo Penguin replied to buddpaul's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Apparently people are still upset that I stopped working on VintageGamer / PlayNintendo.com Sorry all... just got sick to death of it. My favorite NES site is NESWorld.com. He has lots of cool stuff and very active boards, but no rarity guide... at least not the last time I checked. -

I just don't want to bother listing them seperately.... too much headache dealing with all those bidders. Thanks for the heads up on Cubivore. -

Selling my Nintendo collection...
Nintendo Penguin replied to Nintendo Penguin's topic in Auction Central
Umm... I never buy game on ebay. Look at the past auctions. It is all NASCAR stuff. Anyway, friend is selling this for me... it be his account. I can't sell on ebay because I have no credit card to list the items with. As for shipping, lets see... need to buy a box, packing material, go to post office, pay for shipping, as well as tracking. It IS more expensive than you think. Those little NASCAR diecasts cost like $12 to ship. A bundle of boxed games is bigger than that! Anyway, like I said, if there is a BIG difference, money making up the difference will be sent to you with the item. Also, I am going to list an ASS LOAD of NES game and GameCube Games tomarrow. If you want big lot with some pretty decent stuff, check back. -
Selling my Nintendo collection...

I really dno't know what shipping was going to be so I took a guess. Judging by size and weight.... plus REALLY GOOD PACKAGING that seemed roughly about right for what similar lots on ebay go for. If there is any SIGNIFICANT difference, the difference will be refunded. BTW... shipping was free with BINs -
Hi all. I am liquidating my Nintendo collection. Look for more auctions in the coming days. My BIN are a little high, but all of the reserves are very reasonable. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&include=0&rd=1

Anyone planning on playing this? It is scheduled for release on 9/1/2004. I am really interested in getting into a MMORPG again. I played UO for years. I liked Dark Age of Camelot, but never got really into it... just dod not have time. Should I return to DAofC or hold out for WOW?

secret NES style GBA pictures
Nintendo Penguin replied to tonyvortex's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I will probably get the NES style SP since I do not have an SP yet, but screw the games. While I think the idea is cool, I already got'em all for the NES and $20 is a rip-off for a 20 year old game. -
DL3D was awesome! I could not put it down. Beat it a week after I got it!

GameCube Nearly Sold Out In US
Nintendo Penguin replied to Zaxxon's topic in Modern Console Discussion
If there bring supplies in from elsewhere it will most likely be Europe. On the other hand they might be seeking a 3rd party to manufacture Cubes if there are busy making something else. Nintendo's outlook on CNBC is positive, so I don't think the Jaguar and VB analogy is accurate. -
What happened to the playnintendo.com website?
Nintendo Penguin replied to donkeykong1's topic in Classic Console Discussion
There was a server change last night. I posted an announcement that this was going to happen in the Announcements forum over on PN. It is out of my control, this was something the host needed to do. I am assured that the new server is bigger, better, faster, etc. With the server change MySQL, which is needed to run phpBB (program for the forums) got all screwed-up. It is probably not a big deal. I e-mailed the serer admin a couple of hours ago. I have not gotten a reply yet, but I imagine all will be fixed tonoght. Also, those of you with playnintendo.com e-mail accounts will notice we have switched to "squirrelmail". this is a new program for us and look promising. Please be patient if attempting to access you e-mail. Once all changes are complete, I will re-add everyones alias' and PM you with your temporary password. *** Now to discuss another matter and this is directed toward no individual person with no malice intended.... I am not as "webmaster" literate as many people here. I have learned EVERYTHING from scratch in my free time. The site used to look like a crappy Geocities page. It has become far more than I expected, but nowhere near what I had hoped... if that makes any sense. For me at least, it was not a matter of just sitting down and making site, I had to learn how and learn a whole lot more about Nintendo games. After 4 years of this, I think anyone would suffer from a little burnout. There is a "staff" now and I will be adding a couple of writers so that I do not need to be constantly thinking of content to add. I can just sit down and finish the damn NES guide. I realize eveyone is anxious to see the site complete, but none more than me. If anyone wants to spend the money for HTML programs and Graphics programs, learn how to use them, go learn more about Nintendo, waste all their free time scannig images and cleaning them up, spend more money on a host, learn how to create a decent forum and then wait around for a year or two to get some decent traffic... by all means, go make you own site! I am not trying to sound like an asshole here, if someone wants to or can do a better job, seriously go for it. Make no mistake though, PlayNintendo.com / Vintagegamer.com is my baby an no one wants to see it succeed more than me... don't ever doubt that! -
Are there any future plans to develope the .net or the .org into something cool? I have both the .com and .net for the VintageGamer domain... they both redirect to playnintendo.com One day when I open a bitch'n 80's arcade I will use those domains for something else!

Stan! My goodness! You need to get a really big scanner and let me post those on PLayNintendo.com!

Dragon's Lair 3D kicked ass! It got a bad review over at GameSpot, but that guy is a fucking moron and clearly not a fan! It did kick ass, it was PlayNintendo.com game of the year for 2002. I heard about the movie.... Oh Yes!

Nintendo seems to tweak re-releases a little bit. Many were not too happy with SMB3 on the GBA... different music mixes, etc.... -

I was kinda disapointed with Hot Pursuit II... so I took a wait and see attitude on UG. From what I have seen, I will get it, but not until it hits $20.00. -

Clu CLu Land... not all that many people have it... it is not rare... but very under-rated and kinda forgotten. Good Game!
