Nintendo Penguin replied to xenomorpher's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I gotta go with the NES controller... GameCube would be my second. -
Any good co-op RPG recommendations?
Nintendo Penguin replied to DriftChamp's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Zelda fours swords is supposed ot have a pretty cool co-op... I have not played it though. -
I thought I remembered hearing that one was coming out for the Cube.... I haven't played one of those games since the original. Been a while.
-
Does anyone know if such a thing exists... I really like the Cube controller and would like to use it for PC games... does any sort of adapter exist?
-
Thanks for the tip Mendon! I will hit Best Buy later today! I got a bunch of those Rogue Squadron III Bonus Discs from best buy for $0.01 each.... last time I will ever walk out of that place with 10 games for a dime!
-
Someone was concerned about Cube release... The Cube release date is 12/172003.

are you a monogamous collector?
Nintendo Penguin replied to tyranthraxus's topic in Classic Console Discussion
If only buying Nintendo stuff counts as Monogomous... then I am guilty. -
I plan on picking it up for the Cube Wednesday. Too many good games to pass up!
-
I dunno... don't matter to me either way I guess. I like all the old boxes, but my nice neat row of 91 GameCube games looks really bith'n... partly because of the uniformity!

NES "Programmable Series"????
Nintendo Penguin replied to rpmxxipt's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I wish they had categorized every game... I just like order. Unfortunately we were all left guessing on the other 700 titles. -
Is that for the advance? I though Mega Mans 1-7 were coming out for the CUbe... at least that is what I heard.

NES "Programmable Series"????
Nintendo Penguin replied to rpmxxipt's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Here you go.... http://www.playnintendo.com/nintendo_power...ayers_guide.htm According to the player's guide, there were four of them. Scroll to the bottom half of the page. I think it is funny that there is only one educational game! -
buying a video selector switch
Nintendo Penguin replied to RMila75's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Kinda... except GE doesn't make crap! No offense to Ford guys... I have just had some bad experiences though. -
buying a video selector switch
Nintendo Penguin replied to RMila75's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I noticed someone had a GE video selector. I have one too, but mine if different. (smaller) Mine was only $14 and works great! I don't see any difference in picture quality... GE seems to make a good product as far as video selectors go. If you see an RCA one, it is probably good too... as GE owns RCA... they share many of the same components. Ever notice RCA TVs and DVD players look very similar to GE TVs and DVD players? -
I posted this link over on PlayNintendo.com a while back, but I am not sure if I posted it here. Just in case I did'nt here it is: http://www.vintage-sierra.com/ This is a pretty sweet site for old-school Sierra online lovers! Their message forums went up last month... they could use a few more registered users. (Hint, Hint!) Anyway, be sure to check this place out. I thought is was awesome!

*Shutters* I just bought an ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro. I have not really used my new computer much yet as I am re-arranging all my furniture. I was always under the impression that ATI made good shit. This is my first ATI card. I always used the Creative Video Cards before... or whatever pack-in piece of shit originally came with my old HPs. Anyone have problems with the ATI All-In-Wonders?

Dungeon Master sound/joystick adapter?
Nintendo Penguin replied to candiru's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I used to play that game all the time on the IIgs.... unless I am remembering incorrectly, I am certain it is best played with a mouse. Anyway... that is a sweet find. -
I have a sealed copy of the Robotech Collectors Edition for the Cube. I got it for $20.00.... anyone care to speculate on the future value of the Robotech Collectors Edition?

newer store 'Game Crazy'
Nintendo Penguin replied to Mr.FoodMonster's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Oh I relize it is popular, but it is also the most common game. Would you pay $10 for Super Mario / Duck Hunt on the NES? -
There is a division of Atari/Inforgrames hiring in Newport Beach, CA. There were hiring testers a little while back... I did not apply.. 1. I was employed by Atlus 2. I hate inforgromes. Damn French. Truthfully... I have not forgiven them for disposing of Accolade, whom I loved.

newer store 'Game Crazy'
Nintendo Penguin replied to Mr.FoodMonster's topic in Classic Console Discussion
There are plenty here in southern California. They are kinda hit and miss as some else stated. I don't get some of there pricing... I mean c'mon... $10 for the gameboy Tetris?!?!? hat was the pack-in game for god-sake! Everyonce in a while there is a good deal to be had though. I got my Pirate SMB3 cart there for only $5.00 I believe. -
Zelda collectors disc update
Nintendo Penguin replied to PuddWakkr's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Well... I am probably gonna end up with two. One for renewing my subscription and one for buying Mario Kart and 1080 Avalanche. One for my collection and to play.... the other remains sealed to be sold many years from now. -
Whoa! Major Double Take!
