  1. Not to worry.... while the Collector's Zelda disk will not be extremely common... I do belive there will be plenty to go around.
  2. I will be getting it. Between that and the Mega Man collection and the Zelda Collectors Edition... things are looking up towards classic gaming on the Cube. (I might be mistaken, but I believe the Mega Man thing is GameCube exclusive) Anyway... I seem to remember writting an article about this a few months ago on PLayNintendo.com.... seems I actually made an accurate prediction.
  3. Remember how expensive all of those Technically Superior systems were? That is why no one owned them then, and the scarcity is making them expensive today. I was always impressed with Neo Geo... however, since I was like 12 or 13 at the time, there was no way in hell my parents were buying me one of those for Christmas... and to be honnest I wanted an SNES anyway. The system I suspect will become very collectible... like the NEO GEO, is the Sega Saturn. Give it a couple of years, but I bet it will be very collectible.
  4. Well... whatever they are releasing is most likely not the succesor to the GameCube. Also, I highly doubt that it is a GBA replacement. Nintendo got 12 Years out of the original GB... I expect that they are shooting to at least 5 to 6 with the current GBA. Although I do not approve of the idea, my business instincts are telling me that they will release some sort of all-in-one GBA game compatible, cell phone, Palm computer thingy! That is my hunch. Time will tell. As for a Cube replacement, I expect them to get the jump on Sony and Microsoft by at least 6 months. I would expect to see a cube replacement for Christmas '05... Spring '06 at the absolute latest.
  5. Nintendo has always had great pack-ins. SMB and Tetris especially. The 7800 was great too with Poll Position II... a personal favorite of mine. Worst pak-in....Bonk's Adventure for TG16.
  6. I have never had a problem with the SMS... always liked it. I am partial to the SES though for sentimental reasons.
  7. I will try to get some pictures up for you all later tonight. I need to wait for my sister to get home so I can borrow her camera. As for the costs... it isn't as bad as you might think. Fry's Electronics always has lots of new games for between $15 and $20 and anything that is $50 is a good title that I was going to buy anyway, so I figure what the hay. I probably spend about $50.00 a week on video games. (average) Figure a gamecube game or two at Fry's, and then a couple of NES games at Gamestop. Anyway, I will get some pics of my GameCube Collection up ASAP.
  8. Here are my goalsL Every NES (cart only is fine and I am only gonna worry about Licensed games) Every GameCube Game purchased Brand new. I am now in the 90s... everygame has been purchased by me and purchased new.
  9. I agree the Library is not exactly what I would like, but the same is true for me with Xbox and PS2. With only a couple of exceptions, there is nothing I can't get for those systems that I would really want, that I cannot get for my PC. I dunno... I don't remember ever feeling like the was a lack of quality games with the NES. At the same time the there was a lot of crap for the NES as well.... Princess Tomatoe and the Salad Kingdom anyone?
  10. About the Broadband Adapter... I belive it was delayed until Phatasy Star Online came out.
  11. Eh.. I think the brodband adapter is a mild thing. I came out later anyway. I think bad press and dumb consumers that believe everything they read is the biggest factor.
  12. I currently collect for GameCube. I am at 85 games and counting.
  13. MegaManFan... I had no idea you collected GameBoy! Don't you find it expensive? I have thought that GB games are over priced in the stores, so I never bother collecting, I just get the occassional title that I want. Well, I know I have been getting a little slack over the past couple months about site updates. Trust me, NES fans will be thrilled this week. I am almost done scanning games from Iron Chef and Myself. As for adding games to the GameBoy sections.... dude, I am glad to hear someone collects for it! Please tell me you have a scanner MMF?
  14. I have it for the cube... I enjoy it from time to time. Using the controller for Pole Position took some getting used to.
  15. Radio Shack will order one for you if you request it.
  16. I am a little peeved as I just renewed my subscription. I am gonna call them on Monday... maybe they will send me one. They have been cool like that in the past.
  17. Also check out the GameSpot website.. they have a list of Color GameBoy titles in their archieves somewhere. Not really any great GameBoy sites out there. I would love to get the Game Boy section on PlayNintendo.com going, but I really don't have all that many games to scan and there does not seem to be a demand. Everyone seems more interested in NES, SNES and Cube.
  18. I have always liked Gamepro.. nowadays I only get Nintendo Power.. but I used to read GamePor back in the day.
  19. I kinda like them. I prefer Nintendo's old ads: http://www.playnintendo.com/print_ads/prin...nt_ads_main.htm I think it would be sweet if they went to thos old-style 80s ads that everyone remembers, but had them picture GameCube stuff instead. Just my twisted mind at work I guess.
  20. I started collecting magazines recently. Mostly just Nintendo Power and mainly only so that I can scan them and put them on PlayNintendo.com. I also collected old motor trends and other car magazine from the 60s that featured or had an article on my 65 Caddy.
  21. I bought the game the day it game out, here is my verdict: First of all, screw gamespotand all of there reviews. I don't trust them anymore! The morons over there gave the GC Dragon's Lair a 5.4! Fools! That game was sweet! Not to mention the legions of other very decent games that they gave bad reviews! *spits on gamespot.com* Anyway, if you are a fan of the original arcade game, you are more than likely gonna like this game. It is a little monotonous, and is a bunch of mindless killing of shredder's lackys... but hey, that is a formula for success, right? The graphics are pretty sweet and look just like the new cartoon. The game still has an interactive environment like the original, such as firehydrents, exploding cars, and trash cans. Each turtle has some of his own unique moves and there are power-ups! Again, if you liked the original, then figure this game if about an 7.5 to an 8. If you don't like that kind of game, the it is a 4 or 5. If you are unsure, rent it first, but it is a must have for Turtles fans or fans of the original arcade game.
  22. Sorry guys. There appears to be some kind of problem with MySQL on the server that hosts PlayNintendo.com. I have e-mailed our host and I am currently awaiting a response. With regaurds to the rarity guide... sorry but it is slow going. I do have a NES guide about 90% complete and a SNES guide about 50% complete. As soon as this MySQL thing is fixed and I corrent a couple of small errors on the forums, I will upload the NES rarity guide... that way all can see what I have so far and you can give me some input on what you think. Friday at the latest on the NES guide, comeplte or not.... I promise.
  23. I am sure some will bitch at me for saying this, but Game Informer is PlayStation Propaganda! Look at who publishes the magazine... GameStop. They are clearly in the business of selling games. What to they sell the most of... Playstation 2 games. Game Informer is terribly skewed... even the employees will tell you that! GameSpot.com has been pissing me off lately too. Oh, and before anyone give me any shit, "YES!" Nintendo Power is skewed too... but at least they are not claiming to be objective.
  24. A good price for a good working NES these days seems to be about $20-$25.... although it you buy one at Gamestop, you will pay $40.
  25. I agree with the above... $4.00 is a good deal.
