Hi, this is a weird question I know, so let me explain. Someone has offered to give me a SNES and Super Mario World. That's it, no controller, no power supply, no video cable. I want to get into collecting for the SNES, but since they dont even know if the system works, I am wondering if anything else I have can be used as a power supply? Like maybe a 8bit disk drive power supply which works with the NES? Can I pick up a snes power supply someplace cheap? Any help is appreciated. I just want to see if this thing works good and then if it does I will buy a controller and start collecting games. I already have a N64 collection with an extra video cable.

looks like it is in mint condition, nice grey and white like new since it's been the blue box it's whole life. That's will look nice in your collection.

The game looks like fun. I've always enjoyed his games all the wayback to the Atari 8bit and llamatron + T2k are on my top 10 all time greats but I just wish this game would make it on to the PC, because one thing he fails to realise is that a lot of people don't have a 360 and some people (like me) will never have one.

Atari 8-bit Sinistar Prototype Discovered!
Warriorisabouttodie replied to Albert's topic in Prototypes
The above is actually kind of funny. I just checked and I asked about this on this thread over 2 years ago, and it seemed like a long time since it had been announced then!!! I guess this may never see the light of day. Who wants to make a bet we see Duke Nukem 4ever first? trailer here -
Gauntlet Legends type games
Warriorisabouttodie replied to Gregory DG's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
Good luck finding that one. I've never seen a used copy for sale in a used game store. Now I'll see 50 replies from people who bought it from Gamestop! I bought a copy about 6 months ago at a local Gamestop... if you can't find one locally just order it online. Fun game, it was worth the 4 bucks I payed for it and then some. -Kev -
By the way all llamasoft roms including Tempest 2k are here LINK I'm so glad there is a Mac Jaguar emulator. T2k is one of the few games I prefer to play emulated. It's spot on, and the Jag controller always cramped my hand bad after playing that game.

Mystic Heroe's for the GC was good. You can find it for 5 bucks if you look around hard enough. -
What is the best 16-bit computer?
Warriorisabouttodie replied to GasMonkey's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
A good argument could be made for the ST, but I gotta go with the Amiga too. It was an amazing platform in it's day. I loved my Amiga and would probably still be using one if they still made them. -
Software Automatic Mouth on 800XL, work?
Warriorisabouttodie replied to Clint Thompson's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I used S.A.M. with my 400 and 130xe back in the day. It didn't require the translator disk. -
Favorite Nintendo System!
Warriorisabouttodie replied to Charlie Cat's topic in Classic Console Discussion
this is a hard question. For me you can rule out the Gamecube, because while I had a lot of fun with that system it was short lived. I don't have a Wii yet, but I had a DS for a couple years and I had a lot of fun with that, also loved the NES back in the day. The SNES was nice but it was not my 16 platform of choice, so my nostalgia for that era lies with the Amiga. I never liked the Gameboy much, and the Gameboy advance has some nice games but was never my cup of tea, so I guess considering out of all the Nintendo systems I've owned the only one I actively collect for and still play is the N64, so that is my choice. The N64 had a lot of great games like Zelda, Golden Eye, Super Mario 64 that are timeless and still some of thebest games ever made. -

I think you play the game but it won't display properly unless your tv supports PAL. -
Who was the greatest Mind behind Atari?

What about Jay Miner? He was involved with the chip architecture of both the Atari 2600 and Atari 800 series... -
Best 8-bit computer of all time
Warriorisabouttodie replied to GasMonkey's topic in Classic Console Discussion
My vote is the Atari 800, but it's really more a matter of opinion than anything else. There is no clear winner as to which of the 8bit computers was best. -
What is your favorite 2600 game company
Warriorisabouttodie replied to theking21083's topic in Atari 2600
I chose Activision, their games set the standard back in the day. I really loved Imagic and Parker Brothers as well as (of course) Atari but Activision was more consistent. -
Mood looks like it might be fun, it doesnt seem so slow. Has anyone actually played it on a Commodore 64? Something like that on the 8bit Atari would be cool. You guys sound so funny to me... "why do a FPS on the atari xe?" why do anything on an Atari xe? Because it's a challenge for the programmer and (hopefully) a fun game to play. There is no game you couldn't do better on even a 10 year old pc from the local dump, but who cares? There is something really cool about playing for example Another World on a 8bit even though it looks a million times better on the amiga, just because that game is not supposed to be possible on the Atari... same thing with Mood, its amazing that they pulled that off. Anyway that is my opinion. BTW why doesnt someone make a Sinistar for the 8bit? It will probably come out sooner than the rumored prototype from 2 years ago...

TOP 5 BEST arcade games EVER
Warriorisabouttodie replied to GreenDayRlz's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Space Invaders is by Taito not Atari. Asteroids (Atari)-- this and Space Invaders/Pheonix were the first games I played. I still love this game. Sinistar (Williams) -- I loved this crazy game back in the day, you gotta love a machine that beckons you to play and then insults you throughout the game " run coward!!! " Paperboy (Atari Games)- here is another game loved back in the day. provided many hundreds of hours of stoned amusement in the late 80's Galaga (Namco) - I still get caught up in this game for hours Ms. Pac Man (Namco)- Pac Man and Ms Pac Man are awesome games, ms pac was a little better and one the best of all time. holy shit there are so many classics RObotron, Battlezone, Centipede, Tempest, Bezerk/Frenzy, Stargate, Donkey Kong, Gauntlet, to name just a few but the above 5 were my favorites when arcade games were played in the arcade!!! -
