  1. I recently found this gem and have been playing like a mad man on my NES EMU, its a totally new Mario (ofcourse based off SMB3) But it has new everything if you have not tried it find your self a nes emulator and enjoy.

In high hopes to get this game in cart form I managed to whip this up. If you notice in the code NES-DD-USA, I am giving credit to the maker and coder of this game DAHRKDIAZ

I want to hear your thoughts on this game

  2. Well after months of waiting my famicom and famicom disk system came in luckily everything works great.

But im sad to see how short the controllers are... So im looking for an external controller that plugs into the front of the famicom.

Could be a regular controller or stick let me know what you have available

    Thanks

  3. Here are a few pics of that oddball Sharp TV I wrote up a few posts back. I also did a post about it at Retro Thing. Sadly, these aren't the best pics (it was damned cold in the basement that night!). Any ideas what this thing could be? Thanks!

With all this TV buy talk I went ahead and hit up my local Goodwill and I found a 27" Sony Trinitron TV (CRT) for a measly 30.00 its quite an upgrade from my 19" TV

So next time your in a thrift make sure to look at the TV section you might just find a gem

  4. Konami released in Japan for the Famicom disk system a game called NAZONOKABE, this game was very similar to Akranoid and yet it was released before Akranoid if you have a famicom disk system I highly recommend NAZONOKABE. If you have a PAL NES Konami released this game under the lable of Palcom.

  5. So that is what is on the Super Mario All Stars cart and Wii virtual console? Just a hacked SBM1.

I think this only applies for the NES

Then what is the SMB2 pirate cart that I bought in 1989? Is that a hack? :?

I would think so but dont take me 100% on it, gamereproductions.com was the one that gave me that answer based on the fact that they cant reproduce Famicom Disk System games

  6. I can honestly tell you he stands behind his work, as we speak I am ordering my copy of Recca: Summer Carnival 92 from him. yes he does charge a bit more and requires a donor BUT its well worth it

right, but most of the other sites offer the same 'fix it free' warranty. I'm just curious as to what the difference is between everybody. delivery time could be an easy one, since my copy of recca pure (last game I ordered from gamereproductions.com) took almost 2 months. I'll always choose to wait though--I hate emailing/dealing with people on a personal level, and like online order forms and not sending in donors.

btw, recca is awesome--I got the 'pure' hack since I knew I'd never beat it and wanted all the modes from the beginning. but either way--what a game... I think I'm going for earthbound and FF II sometime after xmas, but what I'd really like is a version of ntsc elite that plays on actual hardware. Probably not going to happen though

Ohh whats "PURE"?? is it meant to be easier?
