  1. We talked some more today and I asked him if he still had his old games. He said yeah in his mom's attic. I asked if he wanted to sell them if he wasn't going to play them anymore. He said he would go over sometime in the next couple of weeks and get them all and I could have em. Seems though the way he talks with such love for Atari maybe he should just get the stuff out of the attic and start playing it. Oh well I'll take it!

  2. The graphic design guy where I work is a pretty nice guy and we talk some. Anyway today out of the blue I ask him if he ever played Atari much as a kid. He says yeah I did I loved it! He said even got one of the new atari 2600's with the games built in a couple of years ago. So I ask him what his favorite 2600 game was thinking he would say something like frogger or Miss Pac-Man. But he says Lock n Chase and Pitfall 2! Anyway just found it cool to talk to someone from some place other than Atariage that knew a little more about Atari than just Pac-Man and E.T.

  3. So it turns out there is five stores in the Raleigh area. Called all 5 and two of them sell Atari stuff. One of the two that takes Atari said they like to think of their store as the classic store for the area she said right now they had about 20 atari 2600 carts a few 7800 carts a few systems and lots of Intelisvison stuff. I asked if all the calssic stuff was sold in store or if they put the good stuff on ebay? She said they get stuff in all the time and they never do the price check thing and put the good stuff on ebay everything is sold in store. I think I'll make the hour and a half dive and go check em out next weekend.

  4. I can't take threads like this one. I have flashbacks... like someone buying Q-berts Qubes for 49 cents right in front of me as I walked in.... AHHHHHHHHHH

I would have just talked to the guy and see if he knew his stuff. If he didn't then I would had offered him starting at $5.00 for Qubes and if said no just kept going up until he said yes. I mean even if you paid him $20 or so for it thats still a deal.

  5. Back in 2002 my wife and I were going over to Goldsboro NC to a flea market we use to go to every weekend. On the way we see a big yard sale and my wife says lets stop there first. I say no I dout they have anything we will stop on the way back. Well anyway about an hour or two later we come back by and I ask the women at the yard sale if she has any old video game stuff. She says not now but I just sold an Atari with about 60 games about 45 mins ago!!!! Also just yesterday we were at a flea market and some old man had about 15 atari games. Only one I didn't have already. I ask him if he has anymore he says no he did this morning but some guy came by and picked up about 10 games!!
