Can any dreamcast play the VCDS with the remote? Or does it have to be one made in 99?

Im a big atari fanatic and last week i got a dreamcast. I only have 3 games so far NFL 2K1,NBA 2K and TNN HARDCORE HEAT btw thats a great raceing game. I love my DC so far. Besides my PSone the DC is the only modern system i have. And it is soo much better than the PSone except no where near the amount of games for the DC as PSone. Dramcast is alot of fun i can see my self collecting for it for a good while like my beloved atari 2600 and 7800. By the way i love the smackdown games for the PSone is royal rumble any good for DC?

Well i didnt read all the post about games you should get so i may name some that others already have. Moon Patrol Sea Quest Millipede Joust Solaris Plus many of the other games people have recommend such as defender 2

I THINK i fixed the porblem. Semms my DC was geting to hot? It has the little slots on the side that blows air out im guessing fomr some kinda internal fan? Anyway i had my dreamcast in a small wooding crate with shelves anyway my DC fit kinda snug in the crate and it was geting hot i took it out of the crate just to see if that was the problem and it hasnt done it all afternoon or night so looks like Its fixed..... I HOPE

My tv is fine i have a Atari 7800 a NES and PSone hooked to the same tv maybe its the RF its a pelican brand not made by sega.

After playing my DC for a while not really like maybe 30 mins? The colors go bright to dull like kinda a slight flash? Not bad or anything but its noticable. Do all dreamcasts do this or is it just mine maybe my cheep RF?

Wolfgang if ya need a 7800 power supply try best electronics . They have them for $15 they do have a $20 minimum to orders thoe so you will have to get a 2600 game or something for $5 bucks. I cant think of the website addy maybe someone else will post it for you their phone # is 408-278-1070 call between 4 and 7 pm eastern as their hours are from 1pm to 4:30 Pacific as far as someone being at the phone that is.

That is why the 7800 kicks so much ass it plays 7800 and 2600 games!! I dont even keep a 2600 hooked up wahts the point? I have two 2600's but no need to have em hooked up when my 7800 does the job!

Collecting for too many systems? At this time im collecting for ATARI 2600 and 7800 like always. Also for the NES some what i always buy cheap PSone games for $4 or $5 bucks at my local used video game store. And i have gotten a dreamcast. It's hard im kinda poor lol. So i spend more then i should on each system. In the last month ive spent $10 on PSone that was for two games.$12 on NES for 3 games also got 4 free. GOT MY DREAMCAST FOR $15 BUCKS FROM SOME GUY THAT NEEDED SOME FAST CASH AND SPENT $20 BUCKS ON TWO GAMES FOR THAT. And ive spent $!5 bucks on atari games 7 carts. Anyway it"s hard buying for so many systems but oh well its fun.

Oh come on now!! We all know atari 2600 is ment to be played on a 13 inch TV like we all had in our bedrooms with our atari hooked up to as a kid!!

Got up and went to some yard sales 3 of them as my local flea market has run dry. Well at the 3 yard sales i found nothing but old clothes. So i said oh well i'll go to the flea market knowing i would found nothing. Well this lady thats their every week with two atari games amongest all her NES and PSone games has 7 atari games today. And i was shocked to see 3 i didnt have THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE HE MAN... JOUST AND STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. So not a bad day got them for $3 a cart i can live with the price not to bad.

I dont know much about DC but i read a post saying dreamcast plays CD roms? Is that right or did i miss understand and if so does it work with any cd rom game? And can you use the dreamcast controler or im a just way wrong on this whole thing?

How much should i pay for a used DC? Whats a good price for one. I see them at the pawn shopes and video game stores for $60 bucks around here is that about right?
