  1. I posted an atari games wanted ad on craigslist a couple weeks ago and I've had a few phone calls but everything has been common stuff I already have. But yesterday a guy called me and said he had over 50 atari 2600 games he lives over in Greenville like 40 miles from me and I had to go over there today so I told him I would come take a look. Glad I did! He had just two games I didn't already have but they were Marauder and Track and Field! I got em both for $15.00. I was pretty happy.

  2. I love Kung Fu Master on the 2600! It's a great looking game it has some of the best graphics on the 2600. It also has great music and sound. The fact that you can kick punch leg sweep and jump all with one button and a joystick is just awesome. Plus the dragons appearing blowing fire at you and fading away is one of the best looking things on ANY 2600 game if you ask me. After Tapper this is to me the most underrated game on the 2600. I also find Kung Fu Master to be even more fun playing it with a SEGA controller or an atari joypad. By the way I posted this same thread a few years back I wanna see if there are anymore fans of the game now than there were back then.

  3. Picked up a Sega master system cheap at a flea market yesterday the thing was NASTY! I cleaned it up got it all hooked up and it powered on and I started playing Hang on the built in game. I don't have any carts for it. Anyway I tried both controllers and I can't get the motorcycle to move left. It's not the controllers unless both are broken. Could it be something wrong with the control port? Or what?

  4. I just got another 7800 mine has been broken for a while now and I've been just playing my 2600. Well I have noticed before that the color in 2600 games seems to just not look as bright on the 7800 as they do the 2600. Well after only playing 2600 for over a year and hooking up my new 7800 last night I can say for sure that when playing a 2600 game on a 7800 the color just isn't as bright. Does anyone know why?

  5. I guess I'm nuts or something but every year around this time I get back into Atari and classic gaming. I never sell off my stuff or anything like that I just don't really care to play or collect classic video games from say May through Dec. But every year in January it never seems to fail I get right back into ATARI! From now until sometime in the spring I'll buy, play, trade and talk atari. I'm thinking of going out atari hunting this weekend for the first time in almsot a year. Is anyone else like this?

  6. Too pricey, honestly

My Harmony Cart would beg to differ. lol (yes, I own the original too of course)

What do these go for, $15-$25? Easily worth it as it truly is one of the best games for the 2600.

    @ Kyle:

...pretty much anything that came out in the late 80's are works of art, but especially these:

    Defender II

    Gravitar

    Jr. Pac-Man

    Midnight Magic

    Road Runner

    Solaris

    Sprintmaster

Yeah I know all those games and have them all. I'm asking about games that came out around 1984. Most of the ones you listed came out after Atari came back in the late 80's. like Road Runner. Though I'm sure a game like Jr-Pac-Man would have came out before 87 had the crash never took place. Pitfall II was Released in 1984 too right? Did anyone else besides Activision and Sega make 2600 games in 1984?

  7. You know I'm not sure how many games came out after and during the crash around 1984 but man where there some good ones not only Tapper but games like H.E.R.O and Kung Fu Master come to mind. What others??

  8. When people talk about great 2600 games I don't see Tapper come up much. It's one of the best looking games on the 2600 just great graphics. It also has nice sound and MUSIC! Plus great gameplay! It's one the best arcade ports on the 2600.
