I would love heretic on the jag too...just like i would love gorf 2000 and more copies of battlesphere so we can all have them for reasonable prices. But i refuse to sell my soul to any of those F***s to get any of those games. I like it with none of them around any more, more than the alternative.
CyranoJ and reboot and Mathias and Dr.Typo and Orion and others have done far more with their releases and ports to make up 10 times over for the loss of those other games. I love Full 3D polygon games and Doom clones more, but not from the likes of those others if I have to put up with their BS, egoes and worshipping them at their feet to get those games.
I use to hold my "death tounge" and try to appease those scum in order to ensure my copy of their vaporware, but I am older and wiser now and am done with them. If they can make Doom clones and fast polygon games, so can others. We just need cool developers to step up. Matthias did some doom hacks once upon a time...maybe we can convince him and others to give it another try...
It sits here on a hard-drive and rots away because i dont have time to work on it. Yes it exists, no its not a wad swap, yes the videos shown are the game running on project tempest emulator, it runs on real hardware too and runs at the same framerate as doom on the jaguar. Larger more complex levels cause it to crawl and can crash if not modified like many others have figured out with jaguar doom hacks. The doom engine (the way its coded) its not an un-tapped powerhouse. It has its issues and it IS pushing the hardware currently as the way its coded and how tasks are divided up on the jaguar unfortunately. I speak strictly from my experience in working with the engine myself on the jag.
Will i let everyone get a copy? Probably, everyone except Gunstar because apparently im a F*** because i wont give him free things at the drop of a hat..

Dude, seriously, WTF is wrong with you?? Where on earth are you getting all of these wild accusations from? You've let some obvious trolls poison your brain with bullshit. So let me lay some facts out for you:
1. No one from Reboot hacked you, or hacked Madbodies, or whatever else bullshit mr.kizztard or whoever has fed you. They're all blatant lies, the same accusations that have been flying around for years. They're completely fabricated, originating from when Gorf got his panties twisted in a bunch and started crying. So I'll say it again here: IT NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED.
2. You need to lay off the emo pills. Just because someone makes fair criticism of your game doesn't mean they're disparaging you. The same person you're going all emo on had already complimented your game on quite a few areas. Criticizing ONE element of it doesn't warrant you getting all butthurt about it. If you think what anyone here said was bad, you should see what others have said on some other non-Jag forums. Why aren't you going all emo-rage on mr.kizztard after he openly said your no-Pal initial release was due to "shitty programming"?? Was it because he turned right around and gave your game an 8/10 review?
3. No one from Reboot is trying to take credit for anything in your game. I have no idea how the hell you think that. I've read over the posts in here several times, and haven't seen that said once.

Never had a problem with gpu 1.1/ runs fine on both here, and gaztee got a bad copy unfortunately. got replaced like it should have and i held my word on that.

OK, I see how it is. I offered my honest opinion of your game and didn't blindly swallow what I saw as fanciful stories of leet crazed Jaguar hackers deploying rootkits to steal ROMs and edit your .S files, and ever since you hate me... fair enough, I'll try my best to learn to live with it... it might take some time to come to terms with... it might not be an easy road to travel... but I'll do my best... I'll keep on keeping on... one day I'll get over that fact that Jeff went emo and stopped playing nice.
FYI, Sinister Player = Imagitec Player - the former is a rip of the latter, ergo, you used Imagitec's module player as I suspected. I came to this conclusion simply because you didn't credit linkovitch or seb for use of their mod players - using the ancient power of deduction and sadly not hidden haxx0r skillz i hide behind my gfxman disguise. You know Gorf used to employ those kinds of tactics, to throw mud at people he was sulking at, that's how big and clever that kind of nonsense is. Hey, if I was a hacker and knew how to disassemble code and all that, maybe I could go searching in the ROM for some gameplay to go with the graphics and music in Black Out...?

No one made you buy a copy of my game. Sad you had to buy a copy just to "check out the packaging" and then promptly didnt want it after the rom file was released.
Had to send team reboot on a mission to dig through a rom file. quite sad and pathetic excuse just to try to bring some more drama to the community that it doesnt need.

"modarchive format"? They're standard Amiga modules. the one you probably used, Imagitec's, maybe doesn't support the full mod format features and required cTrix to avoid some commands or alter how some were used.

I assume they probably bought cheap Jag games like Cybermorph and brand new eproms, opened the cartridges to remove the original eproms form the PCB and replace them with the new ones once they are flashed with Black Out.
This is at the moment the cheapest way to produce a small run of cartridges and it is not that easy because it requires accurate soldering for each pin of the eprom.
No need to say that this technology is nowaday outdted and I hope the flah memory cartridge will soon put a end to that as it will offer a far easiest way to produce homebrews cartridges (but nothing is cheapest and easiest than CD).
No sir, no officially released games were harmed in the making of this game.
All PCBs and Cartridges shells are BRAND NEW (old stock) from atari.. No remakes or new molds. 100% authentic real atari parts right down to the screws that hold the cartridge together. The eeproms, you just have to take what you can get when you can find them. They are obviously not the eproms that atari used.

I'm quite bummed on this. I stayed up until 3am waiting and reloading that link. I had to leave at 8am for the doctors appointment. When I got up they were available, but my ride was already here and I had to leave that instant. Sold out by the time I got home.
I wrote Jeff at 3am when I turned in for the night, explaining I had to go to the hospital in the morning and begging him to set one aside so I could buy it when I got home. 52 minutes later after I was sleeping, he posted them for sale. Got no response to my message. 
sometimes it's just too hard to support the scene I guess. I'm bummed about this all. The whole thing has been one disappointment after another. Jaguar is the new Neo Geo / Ticket Master. Buy it now scalp it later. Big profits. 
Maybe a few fans do get a copy, but I think the majority of collectors and fans get little opportunity to grab this stuff anymore.ive checked my PMs here regularly and i dont have anything from you unfortunately. Ive also checked JS2 and have nothing there either... Im not sure why there are lies made and attempts to bash me and make me look like a souless asshole because you didnt get a copy. If you did truely send something, i didnt get it...

I appreciate your making the game at all. Don't let my disappointment in trying to get one make you think I'm ragging on you as a person. Yep, its when quite quick. i think about 11-12 hours or so and it was sold out.
I dont think we'll be doing another run. However if there is more than enough demand to warrant getting parts for one we might do it.
I did however stick to my word for all those curious. The rom file is up for download on the site.

Yes, if tracking numbers are desired i can provide these, however i will note that if the order is not going to another location within the united states the tracking stops updating once it leaves the united states.
Anyone within the USA should get them fairly quick since it is priority mail. With the last run of cartriges i know we saw up to atleat 3 weeks before some in germany received their copies. I i assume this will be the same for any orders from the UK/France/Spain/Netherlands/Japan

Another short update. we have 21 carts for sale in addition to the 38 copies of the jag CD version.
More than likely we will be posting the CDs on ebay later tonight. The carts still need boxes made at the moment which shouldnt take long.

These newer versions do have basic pal support and will allow the game to be played on a pal machine, however the screen positioning is not perfect like the ntsc version. it is shifted upward slightly, but yet it does force your pal machine to play at 60hz and still uses ntsc screen sizing.
The 2nd run of carts and the jag cd's will have this fix.
