The HES plastic cases are among of my favourites designs! They are durable, handy and good looking boxes! BTW I never came across a brittle box! Cool, I'm glad you don't have that problem.. It's not all my cases but alot of them, guess it depends on the way whoever owned them stored them.

I'm nowhere near a complete collection, about 200 or so unique 2600 carts, and I admit I have far more NES than an other collection.
-
Nice, I love the fact alot of people keep the old TV thing happening... It's all about the charm of it, maybe? Being from Australia half my collection is those HES plastic case efforts, and I think they kinda suck in that the plastic is so brittle on alot of them these days they near fall apart trying to open the things.

Cool, thanks alot. That's really a huge help!!

Quick question. I'm just wondering what the best type of glue is for glueing labels which have fallen off. Thanks.
-
I might be biased being in Australia but I'd say keep them.. I prefer the plastic cases, simply because they don't damage so easily.

Seems good at the start then kind of dies off, but lets face it, he's probably sick of the same questions over and over.

HAHA, this is great. I thought I had an anger managment problem but you lot have proved I'm not alone. This is why a keep about 20 spare NES controllers at all times. The most fun controller to break for me was an XBox one. I smashed that thing worse than anything I've ever smashed before, thanks alot Ninja Gaiden.

Just buy a Top Loader, the much better version of the NES, even without the AV outputs.

If I'm not I'm RICH... what the hell? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/41-DIFFERENT-ATARI-...1QQcmdZViewItem might put the link this time...

Have you got any pics of this? It sounds like a nice way of doing things.. I only use Excel myself but I'd prefer a nice looking sytem rather than just plain boring text.
-
Thanks, I didn't expect that answer.. That's great to hear.

I Just brought one of these, wondered if anyone knew anything about them? also, what games other than Missile Command are compatible with trackballs..?

I don't know, I happen to really like the nerd video's.. This isn't one of his best though. You can't take this to serious.

How old were you when you played your first Atari 2600 game?
Madcap replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
I'd say about 7 or 8.. not to sure but I still remember where I was and what I played... A friend had just got his 2600 and had 3 games, Space Invaders, River Raid and Midnight Magic. It was enough to hook me on playing games for life. -
Best idea ever. There is way to much rubbish info around.

Being an "Original" gamer, I wouldn't want to limit myself to playing 2600, NES, ect. Allthough I love playing those today I still have upgraded along the way, right up to running around to get Wii on lanuch day. I find myself getting in debates almost on a daily basis about the values of Atari gaming. I hope there are a few younger people out there wanting to keep the spirit alive but as time goes by the number of people who laugh at the fact I still play these games is growing much to fast.

I haven't really got sick of it but have just had a 3 month break, I think you need to take a bit of time off sometimes.
-
Which game do you prefer. River Raid I or II and why
Madcap replied to jpfalcon2003's topic in Atari 2600
For sentimental reasons It'd have to be 1 since it's the first game I clearly remember playing but I like 'em both. -
I picked up my 7800 for about $25 Australian from ebay. someone was selling a bunch awhile back. They were in perfect condition, still boxed, never opened. The problem in Australia for me is finding games for it. in the last 6 months I've managed to pick up only 8 from ebay.
