it's 2 paddles not a js paddle combo. and i warlords paddle 1 and 2 don't work and 3 and 4 kindawork. 3 and 4 i turn the paddles a 1/8 turn and the shield flies to the other edge. I've never played warlords before but from the manul it sounds like the sheilds should moveinto more than 2 positions.

I just drew up a schematic in paint on how the pots(1M not 10k) are connected right now.

I'm sure that it's not the pots. I've got a multi-meter and the pots check out perfectly. even the pins connect fine to the pot.

I used google and yahoo and the only things i found were a manual on how to fix it for $10 on ebay, and this forum.

Yes I can play joystick games fine. A couple of my favorites are river raid and astroids, but I can't play indy 500 or breakout or any paddle game. BTW. I'm assuming that because i'm getting the normal paddle game sympems with gijoe cobra atack it must be a paddle game. Is it? or not?(we don't have the manual to most of the games.

Yes i'm using paddle games to test it out. and in breakout the paddle moves all the way to the left side of the screen and when i plug in the js it'll move to the right side of the screen.

We got an atari 2600 off ebay /w a set of paddles, 2 joysticks and a bunch of games. But there's a problem with the paddles. The buttons seem to work, I can't know for sure because this is the first atari i've ever used but things shoot when i hit one of the buttons. The problem that we have is there's no reaction to turning the dial on the paddles. I've had em apart and back together again. it apears that they're 10k pots and everything has good connenction. what I'm thinking is that maybe there's a wrong connection and was wondering if some1 has a schmatic for them, or i've seen pictures of single paddles(and my mom doesn't remember her atari from when she was a kid having 2 paddles on one connection), is the pair of paddles made for a differant model of atari? If so is there a way to make one of the paddles work with ours?
