  I've been a swiss army knife of an engineer, working professionally pulling paychecks since before I was a teenager (going on 30 years now), I had hoped that constant persistence, discipline, and creativity towards my goals would have landed me a role in an R&D lab, but no.
  
  I'm currently writing and applying to centers with quantum computers, as a last shot...
