    I'm currently running a Kickstarter campaign for a new side scroller game called Escape 2042 - The Truth Defenders

    The game is a fast paced 2D platformer with 2 mini-games included.
    The main game features security cameras to avoid, firing enemies, grenades to collect, computer "hacking" to open doors or disable laser protection fields, and level card based locked door in the first prison levels.
    The game will take place in 3 different environments (prison, forest, desert) interspersed with 2 mini-games including a reversed shoot'em up and an original abseiling game.

     

    The game is targeted for Gameboy, Megadrive/Genesis, Dreamcast, and Windows / Steam Greenlight

    The campaign is not running very well, so I might considering porting this game on the Jaguar

     

    Could you please answer the poll about how much interest you have in buying this game for the Jaguar ?

    The Story:
    In the year 2042, a socialist government is in power, but nobody had foreseen progressive dictatorship that settled in. The elites of the government hid behind a sham democracy, disconnected from the life the people were leading, and acted solely in their own interests.

    The regime considered the dissidents as conspiracy theorists, treated them like terrorists and locked them away in highly-secured prisons, to prevent them from telling the people the truth about the manipulating medias accomplice of the government power.

    You are Eris, a computer engineer and member of the Truth Defenders coalition.

    After a clandestine operation to inform the people, you are locked away in the highly-secured prison Bulor 24.

    But your knowledge on security systems will enable you to escape.

    Your turn now to escape as fast as you can from this place!

    I present to you my new game, it's an RPG, targeted for the Dreamcast & PS1, it took me 1 year of development.

    Here is the Story:
    In a world where magic is Queen, people lived happily and safely under the protection of the ten guardian goddesses.
    Out of the unknown came a powerful demon who brought trouble upon the world, and all the goddesses got captured and locked away.
    Evil creatures started to take hold of the nearby villages and threatened the inhabitants.

    Zia is a little girl who lives in a village in the mountains with her parents.
    When she was younger, she discovered by chance a spell book and started to practice magic.

    One day, an old wise man came from the mountain and asked Zia's parents for shelter for one night.
    At the dinner table, he told Zia about the existence of several spell books spread around the world.
    Zia got very interested and begged her parents to let her go and look for these books to learn more about magic spells.

    During her journey, Zia will discover the trapped goddesses.
    Now is your chance to help her rescue the goddesses from the evil creatures by casting magic spells!

    Check out these 3 new Puzzle games compiled in this Puzzle Collection for the Dreamcast.
    "Yopaz IceStar" is a puzzle game featuring 40 levels in 3 worlds, and local highscore to compete with your friends.

    it's not just alpha blending, it's also graphic layers. For Alice I had 2 layers of 32x32 tiles and even with the blitter, I got 30 fps

    on this RPG I have 3 layers of 16x16 tiles + dialog text, etc..., it would barely run at 15 fps

    and I think the 2Mbytes of memory would be too short for double buffered 3 graphic layers + all gfx assets and sfx

     

    In the end, this RPG will take about 1 year of fulltime work, I can't go for another 6 months to 1 year of redoing an RPG just for the Jaguar, sorry

    No one in their right mind would pay as high as they did in that auction, when the content is available for free.

    Yep, I seriously doubt about this final price, because, even when I made an auction for personalized Alice's Mom's Rescue cart, with custom named boot screen for the auction winner, the highest bid was 4 times less than this final price.

    And only 4 cart was made. (one that ended up in this seller's hand by the way ...)

    Alice's Mom's Rescue is a puzzle / platformer game in the pure style of old school pixel art.
    The giant raven has captured Alice's mother.
    Help Alice save her mother through the 3 worlds and 25 levels!
    Change Alice's height by jumping on the magic mushrooms to get through the tiny spaces.
    But be aware that a small size will also affect Alice's physical abilities!
    Solve puzzles, beware of the evil cats, birds, bats & spikes, and find the right path to victory.

    The game is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian languages !

    The game is compatible with the Atari Falcon CT60, and the Firebee computer.

    I just updated the update icon_biggrin.gif (same link)
    The GEM version should now handle topped/bottomed window, and the game is suspended as soon as your mouse get out of the window.

    For Firebee users:
    I also included an update of the original Elansar app which plays in Fullscreen, it is now way faster and smoother (triple buffering, 16bits, direct mouse handling)
    I also included a Fullscreen version of Philia ! same as Elansar, plays smoothly in 16bits triple buffering.
    Both fullscreen version have no problem with AES interaction, and will restore the desktop screen perfectly. (while the previous version of Elansar didn't)

     

    I updated my game packages on my itch.io store, now you have all the up to date versions when buying the game :)
