  1. If you already bought my games "Elansar" for Firebee/CTPCI or "Philia: the sequel to Elansar" for Falcon, here is an update for Firebee/CT60.

    For Elansar:
This update allows you to play in a GEM window under 16bits screen resolution.
The video intro quality has been greatly updated.

For Philia: the sequel to Elansar:
The game was Falcon only, but now you can play in a GEM window under 16bits screen resolution on Firebee or CT60.

    Download the update here
Read the "Update.txt" file for more informations.

I only tested this update on Firebee in Monotask FireTOS.
If someone could test this on Firebee with MiNT, and on a CT60/CTPCI Radeon/Supervidel, that would be nice :)

  2. I made an update: the game window can now be moved, and is correctly redrawn (compatible with multitask environment such as MiNT)

the game has now a special version for Firebee computer, with doubled playfield resolution, works in true color 16/32 bits, and the sound now works !

The free downloadable demo have now sound fx (but not music) so you can also test if the sound is working correctly on your computer.

And here is a Video of the Atari Version ! (courtesy of AtariCrypt)

  3. I made a nice puzzle game some years ago and I decided to port it to Atari GEM.

You play as a little character named Yopaz and you must collect all the stars in the universe, but the vacuum of space forces you to slide indefinitely when you run in one direction.
Only an ice wall will stop you in your tracks! With this unusual constraint, you will need to collect all stars on each level.

The world "Advanced" provides additional features for hardcore players.
You will be able to change your color and collect stars of the corresponding color! Your color will also allow you to go through teleporters, direction changers, or even protect you from enemies!

The game contains a Level Editor which allow you to unleash your imagination and creates dozens of custom levels !

This Atari GEM compatible version works in Monochrome or 16 colors (and higher: 256 Colors, True color 16/32bits) and as been tested on ST, STe, Falcon, and it should also work on Firebee.

Compared to the PC version, this version have a reduced playfield to fit the ST Low resolution, and only 20 levels in 2 worlds, But you still have the HighScore table and the Level Editor !

The game needs 3Mbytes of RAM to run with musics, or 1Mbytes without musics. Music & Sfx will play only on STe and above.

You can download a free demo (with 2 levels) of the Atari GEM version, so you can test on your system to check first if it works !

The package is available for $4 including the PC/Windows + Atari GEM version !
    Enjoy ! http://orionsoft.itch.io/yopaz-icestar

  4.

in standard jaguar carts the write once PROM's are made of cheap plastic (light weight)

JHL's are made with 27c160 EPROMS which are made from ceramic i believe which is heavy

I got a copy of the game today, the packaging quality is really great, I wish I had made Elansar that way, because it fits better in the original Jaguar box set :)

Thanks to Gaztee & omf, now Alice have a proper box release, which is nice :)

  5. Something I don't understand about this story ..

Very few people still owns a Jaguar CD and most of them are here on this forum I guess, or maybe on ebay ...

I didn't see any of these "fake reprint / re-pop" for sell either on ebay nor here, so ... even if this guy is selling those fake reprint, he won't sell many if he doesn't do it in well known place where Jaguar fans are.

and at least for this one "68 - Orion Jaguar Collection" the first message you see when booting the disc is: "if you paid for this, you got ripped off" :P

Anyway, if people can search a bit on Internet, they can find the real source of the game so ...

in any case, you can't stop people from doing bad stuff ..

  6. Philia and Alice are glass mastered.

Elansar and Yopaz and this reprint Philia are CD-R

because, you must understand that glass master needs 300 CD unit produced minimum, and it's too much for a niche like the Jaguar,

for example I still have more than 200 Alice CD remaining, and seems like nobody wants it anymore, so this will probably end up in trash someday.

  7. My 2 adventure games Elansar & Philia, as well as my Puzzle game Yopaz Icestar, are available again for Jaguar CD !

I made reprint due to popular demands, hope you enjoy these games if you don't have them already :)

  8. ovalbugmann > There should be no "miss" this time, as, exactly 16 carts were made, and the first 16 peoples of my list were contacted by email.

If you received an offer and answered to it, then your cart will be sent !

The remaining mails I had (the wait list) are here only if someone of the first 16 offers will desist (or not answer)

to explain sortly: If you received an email with an offer, then answer it with a paypal payment and then you have your cart !

If you didn't received an email, then pray that someone will desist.

No need to contact me, only RGCD process the orders.

And considering the number of emails I had in the wait list, don't bother asking me if you can be on the wait list now, it's too late :/

Sorry about the low quantity of cart made, I had 20 at first, but RGCD only had 16 box remaining, and you can't reprint a cover only for 4 unit.

The 4 other cart were used for the special Alice's Mom's Rescue cart version that went on ebay.

  9. Due to recent popular demand (Thanks to the Youtuber Adam Koralik)

I decided to do a small run of my 3 previous jaguar games. (50 each)

This will be professionally burned and printed CD-R in the same DVD case with manual as the first run.

Consequently, the download version are no longer available.

People who bought the download version will get a discount for the reprint version. (reprint price minus download version price)

These should be available by the end of the month.

  10. If I had make the game difficult to play on the first level, people would have say "this game is too difficult", and now I'm getting "this game is too easy"

It's hard to balance this by level design.

Some people are struggling to pass Level 5 for example, so I can't believe how they could pass the last levels..

I wanted a game who is accessible to everyone, even casual player, and then it gets more and more challenging, especially on world 2 and 3.

It just take some times to get there.

Maybe I will make a sequel for hardcore gamers: Alice 2 from heaven to hell :P

Now, there is no way this game could have run on an 8bits platform, it use 256 colors, and lots of different tiles graphics, you should look again at real 8bits games.

And about the 64bits system, imagine people telling me, this game looks shitty on a 128bits Dreamcast, well I know, but one guy just can't compete with professional 128bits 3D games

  11. After some hard work, I recently managed to make a special optimized 4Meg cart version of Alice with everything included (musics, saving, 25 levels, etc...)

The new limited run of carts for Elansar left me with 4 unused carts, so, I made one Alice cart for me, and the remaining 3 will be for any of you :)

I will make 3 ebay auctions for a cart version of Alice's Mom's Rescue, numbered, with an option to include your name inside the game !
If you win this auction, I will send you a message with an image template that You can customize, or that I can customize for you if you tell me which text you want to include inside (for example your name)
I will then create a unique cart of the game with Your own special text that will be displayed at the game boot, below my spinning "orion" logo, while the game is loading (this screen will last around 12 seconds)
I will also include a free copy of a brand new sealed CD version of the game for Jaguar CD.

Enjoy the first auction ! http://www.ebay.fr/itm/281682042646
